  1. Well, on a day that SAUNSW doesn't have anything on would be a great start
  2. Yes other cars are fine. Same rules apply etc
  3. Should be fine. When measured at 30m in the open I'd be VERY surprised if it fails. Also, the measuring gear is at the front gate and we are at the back of the property (so 300-350m away).
  4. Awesome stuff mate. Next Deca I bags a ride Would be interesting to get the "seat of your pants" feeling of this and compare to a similar setup but larger engine (2.8, 3.0 etc)
  5. As long as it has a muffler it should be fine. It's screamer pipes and exhausts without any mufflers that are the drama
  6. Everyone in here now has a PM about the Sutton Rd entry thread being open.
  7. Last time the slowest run was 1 min 58 seconds (quickest 1.32). As soon as the car on course crosses the finish line there will already be another ready to start (it's a loop, so no need to wait for the car beforehand to return) - so I cant say how many runs exactly. It would be silly to anyway as it's just a guess. I can say this; There's no lunch break, runs will be continual all day, anyone causing a delay in the start line (eg not ready to go) will have the car behind them put infront of them so there is no delays. You know how I run things like this Ben, there's absolutely no way to have more runs - the day is designed to maximise driving time for all entrants If it helps, at the last one we expected 6 runs for the day but it ended up being more like 13 from memory by the end of the day. It also depends on entrant numbers, how many cones get knocked down, planetary alignment haha
  8. Sutton entry thread linked
  9. No. Just no rear traction.
  10. I managed 10th last time. Bald tyres and no mechanical mods.
  11. Right, get on it people. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/395127-s-a-u-n-s-w-texi-the-original-sutton-road/page__view__findpost__p__6279413
  12. Accommodation thread, click HERE!
  13. Shame we arent using the same F1 predictions game from last year, already one round in and the other one was way more fun.
  14. Skids wont happen at Sutton Rd, we are running the track - not the skidpan. Also, it clashes with another event that I'm going to and as no one else in the club is qualified to run Texi, I'll be changing the date this week - Ideally the 13th May but depends on availability of course. There will be a thread very soon. Wouldve been up tonight until I noticed the clash Nice to know it's being talked about already, I've got no doubts it will be a quick one to fill up so get in as soon as the thread goes up guys. I'll put up a post in here when entry forms are open to public
  15. Hey guys and gals! SUTTON RD BABY!!! Anyone who has been here before will tell you, it's a wild little track. That's right, track, this is no skidpan. Here's an incar video from the last time we ran it. Also note, we haven't been there in FOUR YEARS so don't be a stooge and think "I'll wait for the next one" - there may not be another one for years! Video link: You all know the drill, this thread means entries for Texi, May 19th, are now open Event: SAUNSW Texikhana, "The Original" proudly supported by Unigroup Engineering Location: Sutton Road Driver Training Centre Location map: Click HERE Date: 19th May 2012 What is it: Timed single lap sprints (practice lap given then timed laps all day) Lunch: BBQ and cans of soft drink available on site Entry cost SAUNSW members: ONLY $110! It's essentially a private version of National Park Sutherland or Old Pacific Highway up North.....no police, no oncoming traffic... Results: Electronic timing being used, results will be on Natsoft after each group has their run Accommodation: Separate thread will be up for that very soon. We will be staying in cabins at a really nice caravan park with a pub next door Those of you that have been to one of these before will agree, this is the best money you can spend as far as driving time for an event. The event will be run after run until 530pm (or when the sun goes down), and considering most runs are under 2 minutes AND that we're kicking off at 9am, that's a lot of runs This is a safe event where you only go as hard as you want to, there's no pressure, one car on a course at a time. With that said, there's usually some friendly competition between mates which is great to watch This is a GRIP day, the venue does NOT allow drifting, so if you want to drift this place - don't enter this event Timing for the day; Scruitineering/sign on starts 730am Scruitineering/sign on ends 845am (Don't show up at 825am, come with plenty of time to spare. We start on time and you will be missing runs if you come late, it's only fair to those who show up on time) Drivers brief 850am (mandatory attendance all drivers) Runs start 915am Lunch approx 1230pm depending on how the day is going (One hour, cars will continue to run however there may be delays as we send food and drinks out to the volunteers) Runs stop 515pm Gates close 530pm Entrants please note: -All entered cars must arrive in time for and pass scruitineering, no exceptions. -All drivers must be licensed (AASA or CAMS) and show valid licence and expiry date at sign on. -All cars must have an insurance approved fire extinguisher secured within drivers reach. -Sidepipes are not allowed. Screamers/external gates venting to atmosphere are also not allowed to be entered. No exceptions (this is not my choice, I ♥ gate) -Entries are open now, entries close 5pm 16th May to allow time for officials to organise paperwork. -Supp regs and Entry Form are attached. Entry forms without payment will be rejected. -Yes you can join SAUNSW on the day (allow an extra 5mins at sign on) -Yes you can organise an AASA or CAMS licence on the day (allow extra 10mins at sign on) -There is no Eftpos/Credit Card machine on site, so bring cash and we will have change there for you. If you can bring close to the right amount that's helpful. SAUNSW bank details: Bank - NAB Branch - Marrickville Account name - Skylines Australia NSW BSB - 082 356 Account number - 546 393 766 Please put your FULL NAME in the description, eg "TEXI JOE SMITH" Need a reminder? This event is on facebook, so click the link and click "attending" http://www.facebook....33321616766498/ Dont wait until the night before to enter. These events sell out, to avoid disappointment get onto it right now - you've been warned See you at the track -Stevo Form attached, also there's fuel locations (most are under 5km from track) Supp regs and Entry form SUTTON 19TH MAY 2012.pdf
  16. So I looked on OneHD today for F1 - couldnt see any.
  17. I have an 044 (well, 3) and they're all fine on E85.
  18. First half of this isnt too interesting, but second half has some insight on Sky sports coverage for the season http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDPRWJa0rMM
  19. At the SAU Nationals I was talking to one of the SAUSA execs and he mentioned a large group from their club was going over to Singapore. May have been they'd already gone - not sure, it was late and I'd been drinking. Sounded like a great idea, I cant remember who it was telling me about it but if I remember i'll pass it on
  20. The C spec from memory is 544kw. So you're fine.
  21. Anywhere in there will be nice and loud, and thats what counts
  22. Bloody hell that's a great place for the oil filter. Any GTR owner will agree on that one!
