  1. twin power dli and splitfires...they work well together...no need to change them. the box will do little work...a few drag meeting's a year and some dyno stuff. If i pull down every 1000klm ill be doing it every 5 years...lol. My box also is sporting a billet sandwich plate, i looked on PPG's site and this item appears to be no longer available. The synchro box was slow to shift and really holding the car back from its optimum potential...with the power it used to have the car was a 9.70-9.80 with a better gearbox. Maybe i should borrow the low-mounts back one day and get the record back...worth a thought.
  2. Jase's street may as well be the staging lanes...as all i noticed is the freshly prepped strip all the way past pork central down the road.
  3. $450 delivered. please register interest
  4. yes...both...lol staged WWII in our hallway during wet weather. Used a marble as artillery fire to determine the winner.
  5. Red Emperor...Melbourne's best. I eat there everytime im down there. Never disapointed.
  6. i understood the Barbie bit...my 15 year old daughter had the pink Barbie convertible merc....it towed a horse float complete with horse...lol
  7. ive read this whole thread...it may as well be written in Russian. no idea...i must be too old.
  8. Nick...after 13 pages surely it deserves a sticky. Lurking in the backstreets of Newy eh...hmmm.
  9. Spotted my car finally on the road today...yay! Bakes why did you change your avatar?
  10. how do i tell...PaulR33 ?? EDIT: just found out it doesn't matter...but as its a brand newie id say its for a series 2. But either will work in either.
  11. The car has come a long way since i bought it for Stace to use as her daily driver. It replaced the HR31 coupe she previously owned. It was stock except for a HKS cat-back exhaust and was the cover car in the HPI GTR special No.1 and was used as the test car in the 'buying used' article that they used to run in the mag each month. It had 39,000 original klm's on it and was imaculate like a new car. It is spoken about at home just like a living member of our family would which is a little strange. Even the unit development we built at Soldiers Point had Spark Silver two-pack kitchen cupboards to match the cars paintwork. Yes its a worry. Im so glad nobody came up with the $55+K to take it off my hands...grossly undervalued...it was a great oportunity for someone smart enough with cash to secure a bargain at under 1/2 the build and development cost. To build this car again now with the Yen as it is would cost 1/2 that much extra. The PPG straight cut dogbox is not as bad as i thought...pretty smooth to shift up...down is a little tricky but ill get used to it. It has a nice whine to it too.
  12. to be honest Guilt-Tripper knocked the nail on the head...he said to me "you have no idea how awesome this car is" i said "yes i do" he replied "no you don't, you can't, because you own it" I thought about it and agree, other people appreciate this car a lot more than me...all i see is its faults and things id like to fix or change. I saw a genuine Nismo R32 GTR today, it was bog stock and had 31K original Klm's on it...i was drooling over it more than i ever would over my own car.
  13. Due to the price of Sunoco exceeding $10/litre im no longer running it...but will have some E85 v BP98 figures. All over the toggle switch set-up.
  14. So...is it E85...or BP98 tune? I say we do a sensible street tune on BP98 for starters. Then we fill the tank with CSR's finest and turn up the screws! Will fit the sidepipe for this tune so bring your hearing protection Guilt-Tripper.
  15. again?...you told me you would never wash it.
  16. love it...no rattle and easy on the leg. Ive done the braided line and Nismo slave cylinder instal.
  17. ohh yes i will be driving it...and have the new (rebuilt) NPC twin plate is nice and bitey. Also to my amazement the modified Nismo mechanical 2 way rear diff doesn't clunk...must be the special oil its running or im not doing tight enough turns at low speed. The gate has a 20psi spring in it. This car does NOT need rotational idle to sound tuff.
  18. i used to run N1 pump, tomei restrictor and stock sump with Tomei baffle 1 litre over filled. never had an oil control problem and bearings were as good as new on pulldown after 3 years of racing.
  19. Will be at Powercruise at Eastern Creek late this month...come and have a look there.
  20. not required...they dont drain anything substancial...they actually vent the sump on big clearanced race engines. On a properly built street engine they are waste of money, time and damage to firewall. Notice two fuel rails on the picture supplied in post #2 (it was from another thread that i posted this picture in) Its a big $$ big clearanced racing engine.
  21. didn't wash it as sticky offered to wash it while its at the exhaust shop. Ill take it for a quick run tomm. ill ask sticky about the sticky's while im there.
  22. Yes the wastegate was a Charlie Uniform November Tango...but in true DiRTgarage never give up style we got it sorted. Very happy with it now...bled coolant, checked oil levels, checked warm oil pressure and got front bar back on. Will go over later and drive it outside and give it a tub.
  23. the home PC kacked it...and my laptop is unable to have the Canon camera software loaded onto it due to the fact work has locked out admin rights on their PC's. so no pics...come and see it in real life...much better than pics...pics have no sound! Guilt-Toy...adjusted the idle this morning and fixed the 'ticking' noise...need to go buy a cheap ass timing light to adjust the timing...my expensive one seems to not like my car. Yes it does really lump over at idle.
  24. when i went to school 06 was 6...like 3.06pm...60 was 10x6...TWO.60L is more like TWO point SIXTY L. im pretty sure it was the best representation of the engine capacity. No stroker or forklift engine here ON topic... car will be loaded up today and head up to Lillford Exhaust to have the side exit exhaust fabricated and also the 4.5inch to 4 inch 3 bolt to V-band adaptor made for the full Trust exhaust.
