  1. We got the torque curve even flatter with the final tune using Sonoco. The option to upgrade to this new set-up at no cost was too hard to pass up, but i will always be a fan of the twin low-mounts. The cams we used on the low mount set-up were big JUN's...
  2. need 900hp at the treads to run the 8.90 im aiming for. the turbo should provide the power...if not ill give it a spray.
  3. so thats how the car got stuck with such a silly nickname
  4. come over and take some if ya like.
  5. yep... cyl 1 200hp cyl 2-6 100hp each
  6. could be a nozzle that sprays out the end...which would be just as bad.
  7. well its a bit of a hybrid actually...HKST51R housings upgraded to T62 spec...108mm compressor. So it looks like a T51R but goes like a 62. 1200ps.
  8. Twoogle inhaled its first breath from the new T51R SPL tonight and powered by the new Vi-PEC ecu...yes it runs...tuning tomorrow and on the road next week. big thanks to Guilt-Toy and Mark Jacobsen from Godzilla motorsport. dug up an old thread as it was a bit of a waste starting another.
  9. latest prices ...$2800 for Tomei $2200 for GReddy $1350 for Nitto these were some i priced for an engine during the week
  10. turn up the boost Steve-o...its more than ready
  11. massive thread on this...actually there is several...please do a search
  12. pantyhose fan belts FTW
  13. How long has the battery been sitting? sounds like a lack of power to me
  14. Hey it was almost 20 years ago when an ambitious 17 year old wanted to strip his engine out of his newly acquired R/T Charger and rebuild it...just to see how it worked. Admittedly with a little advice from my dad who is a mechanical enginner i rebuilt it in my home garage. It then snowballed with me doing engines for various Chargers to the point i was suppling engines to one of the teams racing a Charger in the historic series. Then came the Nissan's.... TIP. take your time...cleanliness is paramount.
  15. just watch the shift from 2nd to 3rd between turns 9 and 10. Thats where i broke mine last time at Powercruise.
  16. This is probably the reason ive never used it. My abilty to know when to stop and when enough is enough is lacking. i am now
  17. it actually checks out...my car running in HPI a while ago (Garage Saurus R32 on the cover) ran 10.36 @ 134 MPH and vehicle weight was 1474KG without my 105kg lard included. Car was running 27psi and was dyno'd at 404AWKW the day before.
  18. ill get him where it counts...on the track. he can beat me stacking pallets.
  19. nice rims Steve-o Im surprised N1 was in front of you Dave...i thought he would have been the one choofing up the hill with the dreaded shuffle saying 'i think i can'
  20. hear hear... Good post Dan, this is precisely why i dont post in these type of threads. Without knowing in extensive detail about every factor its just that a guessing game and doesn't help the OP. Take it to an engineer and get a full report with every engine part inspected. The oil control opinion you also have is something i firmly agree with, we are definately on the same page Dan. Its like those "my cars running rough threads" when everything from AFM's, coil packs, to tail light bulb blown is mentioned.
