  1. What is a line up?
  2. Did she win? Blow up the dyno? Both?
  3. Damn.. thats a crap situation! Good thing it was you who started your car, and not your mate though.. Dont think you'd be mates for much longer if it was him! You wouldnt be making any boost when starting the car.. The engine isnt making enough RPM.. It's just RB26 torque. Hope you get it sorted without too much cost and heartache!
  4. A very cut down, basic version of Win XP is all you need. I dont understand the point in putting a newer OS in there. It's not like you're connecting to the internet, or using any of the advanced functionality of Win7. WinXP is a hell of a lot faster, more hardware and software works with WinXP anyway.. Only legitimate reason I can think of is Vista & Win7 handle hibernate/resume a bit better and dont mind being run for 6 months without a full reboot, but thats it..? Any other reasons why you're putting Win7 on there?
  5. Generally they would sell a whole bunch when the models change. Expect to be able to pick them up when (or should I say IF) a new falcon model is released. They may have a kilometer cap where the vehicle is sold if it reaches a certain mileage too.
  6. Good for a chuckle. I love your avatar pic mate.. its hilarious, a little bit disturbing, but mostly hilarious!
  7. Theres a set transfer fee which i think is $27: http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/oth...ees.html?rlid=7 Plus, you've got to pay stamp duty: http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/oth.../stampduty.html The stamp duty is calculated on the value you purchased the vehicle for. If you're buying it privately, you should be writing your own receipt for the transaction, to be signed by the seller, with the value of the vehicle on it. You need to be careful that you dont accidentally stuff up the price on the receipt, as this would change the amount of stamp duty you're liable for! oops!
  8. Increasing the diameter of the exhaust at any point isnt the magic bullet unfortunately. As soon as you exceed the the most efficient diameter you start to detriment the system. 'The most efficient diameter' is the $64m question though, and obviously pretty variable. Hot gas is less dense, so the engine doesnt have to work as hard to 'push' it out. Increasing exhaust diameter makes the gas expand quickly, cool quickly, and become dense. Obviously dense air at the beginning of the exhaust process is bad news.. it equals resistance. Think about the reasons for heat-wrapping exhaust headers - it's definitely not meant to protect intake temps.. the hotter the temperature of the exhaust gas, the 'easier' it's expelled. Increasing exhaust diameter too far decreases temperature, and therefore is inefficient. What you've seen in real life Matt, is probably a system which is close to the most efficient diameter for the dump pipe - but I guess it depends on whether they've tested it side by side with a dump with a smaller diameter (or matching) outlet size to the turbo too! Someone correct me if I'm talking shit, this is just my understanding
  9. To add to this, spotted a guy in a commodore getting pulled over by an unmarked black Nissan X-Trail! Balaclava road marsfield. Plain clothes cop too. Very sneaky! I apologise if my comment came across as abraisive too!
  10. Thanks for the heads up, although how about not racing anyone on the streets at all!!
  11. Daily driver is going to be a company car which i'll be getting in the next couple of months: 2010 VW Golf GTI DSG
  12. I wonder what the legality is with GPS units attached to windows is like then.. hmm Far right hand corner between the dash and the glass is a good spot. The only thing it obstructs is dashboard unless its a massive gauge. Otherwise if you've got a single DIN head unit you can mount it in the DIN pocket under the headunit..?
  13. Autostyle's car by the look of it: http://www.tradingpost.com.au/Automotive/U...kToResult=false
  14. Give my mate Ryan Trent Andrews a call.. he knows everything about this stuff! 132 213
  15. Why cant you just find an example of a non-turbo which is just as clean and buy that instead? It's like paying for Foxtel Premium and only watching free to air channels! Yeah you will watch the other channels in future, but why pay for the premium for two years before you use the channels? Not to mention you will probably have different taste in two years time and will end up wanting to buy something newer anyway! As someone else mentioned, you're paying $14,000 + Costs of removing hardware + Costs of replacing it to drive a non-turbo. I dont understand the logic?
  16. Amen.. The European way of driving is SO much better. We seem quite happy to steal every other good idea from other countries, why not their method of driver training? I'm pretty certain that there is nothing in the driving tests about how to merge PROPERLY. NO, merging properly shouldnt mean slow down until you find an appropriate gap. The slower you go, the faster the cars approach you from behind. Tards Regardless, if none of what we're talking about is policed, theres no hope!
  17. Happy Birthday Liz!
  18. Johnny, do you have any crystal experience? We might be looking for someone in the next couple of months with your skill set. Unfortunately the pay wouldnt be much more than 70k package or so, but definitely not much less either. We've got a production environment with Oracle(SQL) Database (tight, well maintained and structured, not a total shit-fight ), Crystal Reports (Business Objects Enterprise), and a Java front end. Looking for DBA / Sysadmin with experience in SQL Procedures/Views and Crystal.. Let me know via PM if it sounds interesting and I'll keep you posted. It wouldnt start till at least November though, as I'm about to go on leave for a couple of months and I'm doing the hiring!
  19. That would be Jason.. And that magna was supercharged.. His SAU username is ONN20S. Not sure if anything happened to him, I still see him around from time to time.
  20. What's a bov?
  21. agreed.. you would think someone would know something about it. I've only ever seen huge cruises of 50+ bikes through that area/McCarrs Ck Road etc.. Not these guys unfortunately.
