  1. I much prefer the look of the 996 Turbo over the 997... Am I alone?
  2. I heard a massive clap of thunder, and that prompted me to check the BOM website. I saw the severe thunderstorm warning, and BOLTED out of my house to bring the cars in. I got all of them under covers except my brothers car when i started getting belted with massive hail stones. I was so lucky I decided to check.. Had a Lexus, Landcruiser, Patrol, Skyline, and an Outback out in the open! My bro's car is stuffed though - every panel, half a huge tree fell into our pool, i got a cut on my head and bruises all over my back from trying to cover my brothers car... ouch
  3. Ohhh Noooo!! Not another one! I'll keep my eyes and ears open for you. Whos car was it?
  4. Nice find!
  5. Maybe cooler air + better fuel + happy dyno? Still, thats a big leap isnt it?
  6. Did that really happen? Cos I swear I saw a movie like that once..

  8. Well done fellas - glad to hear you did us proud!!
  9. you sure it wasnt a yellow skyline? WAS IT YOU!?
  10. Gran Turismo 5 wont be coming out on Xbox so that decided it for me.. Xbox has more games, but seriously, how many games are you actually gonna buy at $80-$100 per game?? The only shit thing about the current PS3 is that it isnt backward compatible... but if you've got PS2 games then you should have a PS2 to play them on anyway i guess. IMO Blueray is going to win the 'war', so PS3 with the Blueray player was my choice. Neither can be chipped yet (that I know of).
  11. A courier company wont take them unless they are boxed up.. Maybe visit packsend to see if they've got boxes big enough to fit all four tyres/wheels. Most likely though you'll have to pack them separately. Call your courier company and ask them to quote the price for one big box (you will need dimensions + approx weight of the box), and also get a quote four smaller boxes. They SHOULD work out about the same, but sometimes the price changes over a certain size/weight because they need to send a truck with two guys or a hydraulic rear loader (because one guy in a van cant take a giant 80kg box cos he cant lift the box on his own for example). Keep in mind that the smaller your box is, the cheaper it will be. So try to find boxes that perfectly match the size of the rim+tyre. If they dont, modify the boxes so there isnt too much wasted space.
  12. Couriers Wordwide Express http://www.cwe.com.au/ These guys are a courier broker.. They use mainly TNT couriers end to end, but you only pay a fraction of the cost of going to TNT directly. For example, I sent a 42" plasma TV. Box was over a metre long and 80cm high weighing 50kg. Cost me $55 to ship from Melbourne to Sydney. Unbeatable price! A TNT courier picked up the box, and a TNT courier dropped it off too.
  13. I've heard a few very dodgy stories first hand from friends of mine about Hitech. They do good stuff, but be wary.
  14. ... and he outran you? Cherrybrook is between Pennant Hills and Castle Hill.
