Just When You Thought Wrx's Couldn't Get Any Uglier!
Forged replied to bhappy's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I think these are just some bullsh#t artist impressions, no way Subaru would have approved that ugly piece of crap. In comparison, Korean cars are much superior aesthetically! Again I dont believe this is the new WRX, wait and see real one when they release it next week. -
i like it and i reckon it will look even better in metal.

Neo R34 Turbo & Jic 3" Front Pipe
Forged replied to Forged's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Turbo now SOLD! for all interests. -
270rwkw is a safer limit if you want it to last. although depending on the engine condition you could probably push 300rwkw but at this level the stock internal engine will let go eventually. cheers

agree, my Navman doesnt have a security system either. its a bitch to have to put away the unit, bracket and charger all the time.

Neo R34 Turbo & Jic 3" Front Pipe

Well, each have they own advantages. I dont think you could feel the relative difference in "spool" time. Nissan quoted both cars with 280ps and their peak power/torque rpms are very similar if not exactly same, from what I can remember. There are reasons that Nissan decided to upgrade series 2 GTTs with metal compressor wheels, maybe there have been reliability issues with series one turbos, I dont know for certain, maybe there were other faults. But anyone would trust Nissan's decision to upgrade were for the better, I dont think Nissan would go backwards by offering a worse turbo than the previous generation. Thats why, the series 2 turbo that I'm selling is better than the plastic wheeled series 1 version. Also, being a newer turbo it is more reliable in the long run too. I'm not asking double the price over a series 1 and I'm always open to reasonable offers. However, I will not sell it to you for $350 just because you are an uni student and you saw a series 1 sold for that much. If you like bakelite compressors better then I'm sure you could find one elsewhere and buy it, why even pay $350 for a "lesser" turbo? -
yeah that would be exciting to watch, what sort of the lap time would it do? the unofficial record was 6mins11 by a porsche i think.

well, its not the steel wheel version. from what i can gather, its a series 2 gtt turbo with aluminium compressor and ceramic turbine wheel. it could be highflowed but im not sure(im not a turbo expert) maybe you can tell from the pictures. if its indeed highflowed then you are getting a bargain. but either way im sure its has a metal compressor wheel not plastic. -

You can give me an offer on price. yes dump pipe included if you want it. cheers -
agree. no way the 500ps factory Z tune can deliver its 10.01s 1/4mile claim(even with supplied RE55s), unless it has being modified further.

I think the subject here is LOTUS EXIGE not ELISE (although its just a rebodied elise.) but I agree with your definition of a GT car, i dont know why EVO has included the exige into the GT class. actually the new Europa S is as close as Lotus gets to a GT car. I would not take the Tigra as a true sports car either, as much as it has the looks(debatable) its not meant to a performance car (just like Daihatsu Copen). The traditional definition of a sports car is: "a small fast car, usually a two-seater, often with a low-slung body which has a roof that can be removed or folded back, and which has particularly quick acceleration."(EVO) and the Mifflin dictionary defines a sports car as: "An automobile equipped for racing, especially an aerodynamically shaped one-passenger or two-passenger vehicle having a low center of gravity and steering and suspension designed for precise control at high speeds". I admit these definitions seems out-of-date, many sports cars today offer small back seats and not necessarily has an open top. There is no clear-cut definition of what really is a sports car. However, one thing we can be certain is if a car is designed with high performance or race like capabilities in mind, it can safely be called a sports car.

Hey Christian, still can not leave feedback, but no rush just letting you know. cheers -
and perhaps an eastbear bonnet mole to fill the "gap" between the gtr bonnet and gtt front bar.
-
No you do not need gtr guards or front bar. just gtr hinges, bonnet catch and catch support and a gtr bonnet. thats it.

Differences Between Turbo & Non Turbo R34's
Forged replied to mr_squiggle_1's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
non turbo r34 brakes sucks they are the same as N/A r33's. no rear diff on the N/A, inferior suspension, inferior gearbox, and some different interior parts -
ok here is what i think: i would pick a R32 over a 98WRX because the gearbox in those early WRXs are weak so it will become expensive after a certain level of mods. and i like to mod my car so R32 is the pick. and im not picking on someone, just thought it would be fun to have a orange/apple thread since many of us like to compare them. for example: -orange/apples are both roundish -they grow on trees -they have vitamin C -they are fruits there you see, despite all the differences there are quite many similarities too. my point is, IT IS really OKAY to compare apples with oranges.

Just confirmed with an expert, the OP6 marking on the exhaust housing proves it being a genuine R34 turbo (not r33 s1) -
if you want to get picky about it, they are not GT cars either. According to EVO magazine (a quite reputable bunch of guys who pretty much have driven everything on wheels from skylines to veyrons). GT cars have 2 doors, 2 or 4 seats and a closed roof, for example; Aston Martin DB9, Continental GT, M3, M6, Z06, Lotus Exige, NSX, Rx7, Skyline GTR, Cayman, 911 and etc. Sports Cars are 2 seats and open top cars like; AC Cobra, Z4, S2000, Lotus Elise, Mx-5, SLK, 350Z roadster, Boxster, MR2 and etc. As for the likes of HSV GTS, FPV, M5, RS4, E63, EVO IX and WRX, they are Sport Saloons or Performance Sedans. I think this is a better way to classify all these cars (if you really have to) instead of the endless debating over whether skylines are more of a sports car than XR6 turbos. they are all performance cars, just in different shapes and forms.

Neo R34 Turbo & Jic 3" Front Pipe

You are right it is JIC! I've mistaken it with my Ganador catback system, thought they were the same Anyways, yes its a direct replacement for your factory front pipe, one end bolt on to the dump pipe(which is shown in one fo the pictures), other end bolt on to your existing cat. cheers
