  1. lowmount 3582r-iw .82 A/R cheers
  2. yea it goes allright... so who wants to go halfs in making our own strip? SAU group buy on pt stanvac....
  3. mainly to get shaun to fine tune my pfc boost ccontroller setup as he has had some really good results with them, and John thinks there crap/doesnt know how to set them up well. also as my first visit to Boostworx i figured i should go see what all you guys rave about.. top bloke..
  4. then stick with the 044, get a aftermarket sock/filter from sprints of a 5ltr efi falcon, and rubber mount the 044 onto the stock cradle. once installed you will never have to worry about fuel again until you go past 400 kws at the rears.. and it will sound the same as your stock pump.
  5. no you have to cut and solder. maybe back the front?
  6. modify the cradle yes, but it takes 15 min, and it flows a hell of a lot more.. what sort of dollars are you going to spend on the chase of kw's
  7. i have a 044 intank with a filter /sock thing installed in a r33 if you wanna have a listen
  8. is your car still at bwd? im heading up to MV automatics tomorrow morning so i might grap a sneek peak
  9. have you got your video camera charged up?
  10. not sure i wasnt there. i think he did two runs one after the other so heat soak and molten tyres would show up. 299.9 then 296.8 its at a constant 24 psi which shaun thinks is a good happy number on shell 98. the afr is now in the low 11's once boost starts, to redline in a constant line, which is something that John never managed to achieve, and knock is maxing out at 18. but averaging 12. im not sure if im still missing 50 kws or thats all it has in it with the standard nissan head gasket? with the 3000rpm high stall it will do a 11, so for a daily driven shopping trolley i might leave it alone for a while and just enjoy it. cheers
  11. shaun was pretty happy with it being a r33 auto. obviously the 3k high stall and trans is robbing a bit of its power potential, but all in all im happy. its very smooth until you here the turbo start whistling. past that its actually a bit crazy.
  12. just been down to see shaun for the first time, great bloke cheers Darren
  13. i seen a ute the other day with a big advert on the back window regarding a new engineering firm that have started making plenums, manifolds, throttle bodies, etc. it was based in lonsdale but i didnt get a chance to write down the name or address or website. does any one know the place or have any ideas on how to find it? cheers Darren
  14. im fairly sure its the turbo. theres no blowby that i could find and obviously the comp test lookes good. i cant think of any other way to get a cup full of oil in your intercooler. the turbo was only installed recently, and may have been sitting around for several years without use. give it a hard time and bam goes the compressor oil ring. thats what my moneys on anyway. and cheers for the beers Ric
  15. who installed it for you? either didnt do the nut up or didnt put the nut on at all. bolt comes out, you crash and burn...aarrrgggghhhhh... take this pic to whoever installed the suspension and cut sick at them..
  16. ive got a 21 foot donzi centre console with a 165 mercruiser. but the the motors out at the moment needing some minor tlc. thinking maybe rb transplant hmmmm sure would get me to tappleys shoal in a hurry. and imagine a gt35 with 18 inches of 3 inch straight out... wow.... that would make the guys down at osully ramp run for cover. apart from fishing i kill heaps of fury critters... 7mm rem mag does a great job on foxes and rabbits..
  17. go the delica when your not towing a car trailer around what could you possibly want to do in a falcon? in the delica you can go down the beach fishing, go to the outback and explore our great country, and if your towing your race car across a grass or muddy car park, click it into 4wd and then laugh at all the other 2wd cars spraying mud and rocks over there race cars as they struggle for traction. Im a builder and have towed my work trailer alsmost everyday for the last 8 years. and it often gets well over 2.5 tonne. i would'nt even contemplate doing this without a 4wd. either a gq patrol on gas which will cost you around $10 per hundred kays or the ITD delica which will cost around $12 per hundred kays both estimates are from my own past eperience with a trailer of 1.5 tonne my olds own a delica and love it. great in soft sand, and a very capable towing vehicle with only 100k on the clock. cheers darren
  18. why do you wanna drop the boost? just point it in a straight line.. you'll be right.... lol.. so hows the new turbo going? have you had a chance to chuck her on the dyno? cheers Darren
  19. go into your local spare parts shop and get a replacement sock/filter to suit a v8 efi falcon. you can then plumb that directly into your 044. a few fittings from pirtek and your away. cheers
  20. i have recently had installed rear aluminium cradle bushes and it cost me $230 supplied and installed. why did you pay $600 for them? anyways there is no harshness at all, i highly recomend them....
  21. You do come across as a tosser Ash.. i do appreciate your feedback when you give a decent answer, but you mainly seem up yourself.
  22. dont give up yet. what turbo is it? gt3582r-iw or some old school thing? and can you tell me what port you have the manifold conected to on the solenioid. as this will help. cheers.
  23. try pulling the two hoses off the solenoid and switching them around. sounds like there back to front!
  24. start with telling us what you are using from your turbo to your standard afm! are you still running the standard intake black crinkled hose? if so you will need to thro that over your left shoulder and replace it with some shiny new stainless or alum, and then use silicon joiners to suit.its not hard, just run what ever size your turbo comp cover is forward about six inches then bend it out and adapt to suit your new afm and any plumb back blow off valve returns can be welded in just past the bend.
