good ones do exist, you will have to keep looking and make sure you the get the engine tested ! compression test and leak down test atleast. im still running stock standard internals, perfect oil pressure and 160psi comp, pushing close to 300kw@wheels and i have total faith in it, i could jump in it and drive to melbourne no worries. yes they are old, yes they have been abused, but good ones do exist ! if you can stretch ur budget and buy one with a rebuild (with reciepts) and after market turbos WIN WIN ps. mine was bought completly standard still had the restrictor in the boost line, but i slowly built the car up to where i wanted it to be. that way i new exactly what was done to it, and made sure no corners were cut during the process

Your never gonna run more power with bigger then stock turbos and expect stock turbo response. -9/-7 are gun choice for "near" stock response

i know it may sound like a "how long is a piece of string" question but how much boost would you run on a healthy standard internal rb26 with -7's? im currently at 19psi @ 296rwkw, thought 20ish psi is the safe limit? and you cant run much more then 21-22psi? on pump fuel ofcoarse...

400kw + is achievable but with better rod bolts ie. ARP etc

would be good for all the skylines to meet up and cruise up there together if its possible

in the pic above that shows the scratches inside the cylinder...it looks like theres a crack on the cylinder wall

The wholesaler I get it from is only 1 suburb away from me so I don't mind paying more for convience. And I always buy 6L They have used the same oil in a porsche race cup car that did 4000 track kms and after an oil analysis test found that the oil still didn't break down. I've ran motul 300v and found the Neo to run a abit better oil pressure and engine temp to be about 5-10degrees cooler

Does every gtr with a stock sump have this problem? I put 5.5L in my engine and have never seen my oil pressure drop on hard accel. Nor when I'm in low gears going through twisties at a rapid rate?

Yeh my afms were tuned around too, but running nismo/z32 afms just gives you an extra level of security
