Huh? What's wrong with the headphones that came with the phone dude?
  2. Does this mean I'm going to actually have to start doing mods?
  3. Not 25 yet. Can't hire a car.
  4. Doh, it was meant to be: http://photos.fortheboyz.com/cars/GTR/index.php
  5. I went to Japan earlier this year (in January) for Tokyo Auto Salon, in Kaihama Makuhari, Tokyo... Without mentioning the obvious, it's breathtaking, and puts any Australian Auto Salon to shame. So much so, that you'd be quite content NEVER to attend another SAS again in your life. I went for 2 weeks. The plan was to spend the first week going to TAS, visit Veilside, JUN, Top Secret, and all the bargain basement stores like Yellow Hat, Crystal, Up Garage... Whilst they were all awesome, and I'd love to visit them all again and again, after the first 4 days in Japan, I realised that there was SOOOO much more to the country than just cars. The people were sooooo cool, and weird/funky at the same time. Their customs nearly always left me speechless and in awe. For a country that has quite heavy influence in the major cities, it's rural and outskirt towns/cities are just overflowing with Japanese culture and way of life. It's such an amazing country. I loaded up my backpack, left my suitcase in the hotel room in Tokyo and spent the next week taking the shinkansen up and down Honshu, going to Hiroshima, Kyoto, and Nagano (it was all I could fit in ) There is just sooooo much more to Japan that I didn't see, and I really want to see. I'd love to go back and live there for a year or two... I'm taking Japanese lessons now, so I'll see how I go Perhaps we can have an SAU meet over there next year!
  6. Interested in these? Available without tyres. http://www.fortheboyz.com/cars/GTR/index.php email me if you're interested: [email protected]
  7. I ran 14.5psi all day, everyday on my stock R33 GTS-t turbo. AVC-R... 1 bar... No spiking. Every gear held 1 bar if I'm not mistaken, perhaps 1st gear didn't quite get upto 1 bar, but I'm not sure as I never looked... I *AM* sure that 2nd, 3rd, and 4th held 1 bar perfectly all the way to the redline. Whoever told you that is mistaken. Vovan, you either have a vacuum leak somewhere along your boost controller/wastegate line, or your AVC-R isn't setup properly. Check to see that Gear-based learning isn't turned on too, that can sometime stuff up. Basically take it back to whoever set it up, and kick their ass
  8. a cheap, safe car that you're not going to cry over if you write it off. Out of those choices, give that they're all the same price, I'd choose the N14 SSS.
  9. deleted. Not even gonna bother. It's like taking candy from a foetus.
  10. I paid 36,000 Yen plus shipping (at 0.63 exchange rate), which worked out to be $590... At current exchange rate it's about $480, so I guess I'd let it go for that? Let me know what you think. [email protected]
  11. Need a head gasket? I bought an HKS Stopper-type 1.6mm gasket for my car, but obviously I don't need it anymore... Brand new
  12. What hose could you blow that would affect boost? Intercooler plumbing? Silicon hoses on the intake plumbing? They'd all REDUCE boost, so you don't have to worry. The only thing would be the hose to your wastegate actuator.... How many people do you know who's wastegate vacuum hose has fallen off? None? You'd notice any increased boost, or an "unlimited boost" effect from the wastegate problems before you'd look at the boost gauge anyway, true? What other reasons are there that the boost would suddenly decide to spike? If you have a decent boost controller, I can't see it EVER changing it's settings, unless you've stuffed around with it. The only time I can ever see a boost gauge coming in handy is when setting up the car's boost levels and gain/balance. I think Summoner gave the truth Everyone loves it because it's the most active gauge. The others (water temp, oil temp, EGT, whatever) don't move anywhere near as much, and doesn't have the "COOL" factor
  13. I've never understood why people want a boost gauge. I set my boost on the dyno, and I leave it. Most boost controllers have a digital boost readout anyway. People say "What if your boost spikes? or if you overboost to 1.5 bar? Don't you want to know about it?" I say in reply: "You should set you boost up on a dyno and iron out all the spikes there. Has your boost controller ever "broken" and you've overboosted over what you set your boost controller at? I haven't." Anyway. If I were to have any gauges it would be: Water Temp Oil Temp
  14. BTW, I don't work on a waiting list basis. First person to come by and put cash in my hand or bank account gets the prize. First come, first served. Cheers, Andrew.

  18. This post really doesn't need a response... It's pathetic enough as it is. You'd think that if you were going to post a flame, you'd spell your words right and use correct grammar BTW, the ad was posted on the 14th, and you sent him a PM on the 14th? You expect instant replies to your emails, and when you don't get it you send a PM? :bahaha: Free bump
  19. Intelligence test.......... FAILED.
  20. You email address bounced dude... Well the old model PFCs needed a different hand controller for each model car... R33 GTS-ts need one, R33 GTRs needed a different one, R32 GTRs needed a different one again. Then APEXi release the new model PowerFC, along with a hand controller that worked across the entire Nissan and Subaru range... Since it worked on both my old GTS-t and my friend's GTR, I can only assume it's the newer model... I'll post the serial number later tonight...
  21. Works on my R33 GTS-t... Works on my mate's R33 GTR... So I can only guess it's the new model that works with all Skylines/Nissans. Feel free to come test it out. I'm in Lane Cove, Sydney. $300 firm. [email protected]
  22. Yes, you are correct that there is more to turbos than just A/R Ratios but no, I did notice that the turbos from the old thread had larger compressor wheels. Well spotted. It is of no consequence anyway, NISMO N1 turbos have the following markings on the compressor housing: Compressor Housing: A/R .60 M24 Exhaust Housing: .64 696-2 T695 I'm 99% sure of the info above, but as always, I might be wrong... If I am, than I apologise, but I just don't want someone to purchase "N1 turbos" and then find out they're just stock turbos. If you think I'm wrong, please feel free to provide evidence in the contrary.
