  1. Yup, I'm positive. I remember the thread on GTROC UK where that guy posted these pics of his car. Midnight purple looks dark grey/black out of the sun. Here's a photo of my midnight purple gtr:
  2. It isn't hollow in there. Don't forget that there are deflectors and air guides in there to direct, slow and shuffle the airflow as they need it. It took them long enough to release a NISMO plenum for the RB26, I guess it took a lot of work on the flowbench and CAD programs to get it just right. As for not seeing any throttle bodies, that's because this plenum bolts straight onto the stock 6 throttle bodies. I've never seen a NISMO item that didn't fit perfectly and do exactly what they claimed it did, and NISMO claim that this plenum achieves "distribution of the air to each cylinder becomes equal" That said, I sure as hell ain't paying 155,000 yen for one
  3. Actually, that is midnight purple They were teh pics I was going to post from the UK forum... There are two midnight purple r33s on there with r34 rims, and that's one of them... Looks great, but they don't fill the guards all the way... I think one of the guys used a small spacer on the hub and it looked MUCH fatter
  4. The only authorised APEXi dealer in Australia is Access Auto Engineering, in Vermont, VIC. http://www.apexi.co.jp/dealerimg/dealer02.html I'm going to hazard a guess in that Hypertech has an FC Datalogit, which is just as good as the APEXi written software, as it gives access to all the hidden functions of the PowerFC that you can't get to with the FC Commander. Disclaimer: I have no basis for the above, and am only going by the fact that APEX and the other Japanese companies don't give out their ECU tuning software to workshops outside of Japan without a fight, especially to lowly APEXi resellers. But as always, I might be wrong, and they might have the original APEXi laptop software, but I seriously doubt it
  5. Sorry, I didn't completely understand that... You have a Whiteline Works Kit on your GTR, and it's hitting the bump stops? Where? On the street or the track? What do you think of the Whiteline kit on the GTR for trackwork? I've had Whiteline Works kits on two of my other cars and they've been awesome, but I want the best possible setup for this GTR, and was wondering how the Whiteline kit would compare to Tein FLEX coilovers (their softest coilover)... I don't want rock hard suspension for this car... I'm over that, so I need to find a compromise between street comfort and track handling
  6. I have a whole heap that I bought whilst in Japan for Tokyo Autosalon... [email protected] and tell me which ones you want...
  7. Hell yes... 118mph should be low 11s/high 10s Congrats Brett
  8. I am lost for words.
  9. Steve, whether or not they dialed the cam gear in perfectly from factory or not is irrelevant for all of us isn't it? Everyone who has replied to this thread has upgraded turbos, and in most cases, MAJOR upgrades... Different turbos need different timing values to extract the best performance, and even if you had the stock turbo, you can play with bringing the turbo on boost faster, or choosing to sacrifice low end response for top end power... I put an HKS exhaust cam gear on my GTS whilst having the PowerFC re-tuned, so I can't give you a pure power increase figure for the cam gear alone, but I *can* tell you this: Before Cam Gear: 1.2 bar @ 4200rpm After Cam Gear: 1.2 bar @ 3900rpm For that alone, I think it was worth every cent, plus more

  18. Did anyone else come across a Porsche 996 Turbo, Audi S3 and a BMW 540IL screaming down Pacific Hwy on the drive home? I had just taken off from some traffic lights, when the Porsche came SCREAMING up behind me (it was raining ) and tailgated me for about 15 seconds before I changed lanes... He nailed it and went by me... Then the Audi came screaming past... Then the BMW tried to but it was slow Stopped at the next light, they all surrounded me and the passenger in the BMW (which was beside me) leaned out, had a huuuuuuuge grin, and took a photo of my car... Gave the thumbs up and off we went again... Played with them for about 5 mins until they turned off towards the Harbour Bridge... Was tempted to follow them, but cbf'ed
  19. Preferably in Sydney... :uh-huh:
  20. Yes, I would ship to Melbourne, buyer pays shipping costs (which you'd have to pay anyway because the Nitto distributor is in Sydney) Wouldn't be that much anyway.
  21. I still don't believe this... I need proof
  22. Don't quote me on this, but I believe that there is no "entrapment" in Australian law.... Only in America.
  23. Yeah, UFC is too commercialised now... I still have lots of VCDs of the early UFC tournaments... HOOOOOO BOY, you wouldn't want to meet some of those guys in a back alley
