  2. I used to have a lot to say against UAS, mostly in the way of customer service. But I have since learn't that it isn't from a lack of passion, commitment, or salesmanship, it is purely an abundance of enthusiasm. John and his staff are very passionate about imported cars, and are easily sidetracked. But don't let that sway you, just grab their attention and don't let it go until you're satisfied. Don't be afraid to remind them that you're still in need of attention It is without question that they stock many great parts for our precious Skylines, and have the knowledge to make said parts work optimally. Just be patient.
  3. don't even touch your insurance. just ring their insurance company and get a claim number off them... You may have to wait until the other party lodges a claim though. After you have a claim number, just take it to a repairer of your choice, and give them the claim number you got off the other person's insurance company and they'll take care of the rest. Easy as pie, and not one cent out of pocket.
  4. I'm driving down Crown St... Green lights all the way, it's about 10pm, and raining. I'm driving my mother's car as mine is getting a new clutch installed. Driving in a stream of cars, I'm about the 4th or 5th car... We're going about 40km/h, and I drive across William St, and BAM! Taxi driver runs a red light and hit me so hard he wrote off my mother's $130,000 CLK. I bounced off him and hit a traffic light with such force, that it proceeded to fall over and crush a car on the other side of the road. I was winded from the force of the impact, and couldn't breathe. The car the traffic light crushed had a baby in the back seat with father and mother in front seats. I was taken to hospital for possible neck trauma immediately... 3 Police Cars, an Ambulance and a Fire Engine were on the scene before I could breathe again. The taxi driver was charged with negligent driving, and running a red light, and was additionally charged CRIMINALLY by the Police with assault with a motor vehicle (because the father and mother in the front seat of the lancer pressed charges on him for endangering their baby). *THAT* is why I'm scared of taxi drivers.
  5. Your mate got an extraordinary deal. Yes, they're factory rims. A set of R32 GTR rims ~$1000 A set of R33 GTR rims ~$2000 A set of R34 GTR rims ~ $4000 Just because they're factory, doesn't mean they're cheap. FORGED 16x8 rims that look great are highly sought after. Anyway, $1000 for a set of forged rims is AMAZINGLY cheap... I honestly don't understand where you're coming from.
  6. I have got two perfect condition R32 GTR rims for sale. $500. I can get my hands on the other two which are slightly scuffed from kerb rash for another $500. No tyres. Buyer pays shipping. email me at [email protected] if you're interested.
  7. if you'll drive the 17" 540s to Sydney, we've got a deal
  8. P.S. Even though my absence will surely go un-noticed, I shall request that the APEXi pod filter kit be fitted to BYBY before such named event, else a ROYAL ASS KICKING SHALL BE BROUGHT UPON THEE.
  9. At this stage, I shall not be attending the aforementioned event, because a third-party has proposed a more lucrative bid for my time. This includes, but not limited to: Buffy taking me to dinner, a weekend away in Hunter Valley, Delta Goodrem putting out.
  10. 25mins?!?! Surely it wasn't that exciting for the entire cruise. Cut the interesting parts and edit them together for a 5 min vid maximum... I have a very short attention span
  11. Stop copying me Tosh...
  12. Honestly? It's..... okay. Stock R34 wheels look the best IMHO, and the standard bodykit looks great... If I had that car, I would have kept the standard look of the car, with some coilovers to drop the height a little. I am looking at the ATS Carbon twin plate also, but I don't know much about it... Could you please confirm that it lasts almost 3 times longer than organic/cermaic plate twin plate clutches? Also a review on how it feels on engagement would be great too... Thanks in advance, Andrew.
  13. Sure... I'll meet you by the Police paddywagon.
  14. We haven't had much luck with these Chatswood cruises.
  15. If you guys are interested, I ordered a pair of Nitto NT555Rs in 245/50/16 from the states. They're brand new, and cost me $675.20 for the pair, which is an AWESOME mates rates price. I'm in the process of selling my GTS-t, so I'm willing to sell these tyres to one of you guys if you want them... I also have two R32 GTR rims (16x8) in perfect condition that I was going to mount the Nittos on. I bought these for $500. If you guys are interested, drop me an email at [email protected]
  16. Traction problems are the bane of all GTS-t owners, especially those making decent power I think after you go past a certain power level, there really is nothing you can do on street tyres. Nitto NT555Rs perhaps, but slicks to do it properly. For all those who whinge and say "Buh, it's a street car, you should run it on street tyres"... I understand where you're coming from, but your car is not making enough power for it to be an issue. If it were, you would know why slicks are necessary. There is a point where street tyres are useless. 600rwkw in a RWD car, of course you're going to have to use slicks. 160rwkw, you won't. Somewhere between the two, is a line where street tyres become futile for drags. Anyway, that's an AWESOME mph Matt! Congratulations!
  17. Have you still got access to those Silver 18" TE37s?
  18. I'm confused. Are they the modifications you have left on the car after taking the rest off? Or are they the mods you're going to take off? Please list EXACTLY what comes with the car.
  19. Has your friend still got these wheels?
  20. Firstly, DON'T LEAVE THE CAR PARKED IN GEAR. Well you can, but you risk that happening, and you can't use a turbo timer. Secondly, get a wheel and steering alignment done, it'll fix up that steering wheel.
  21. Which legend sold you that marvellous piece of electronic wizardry?!?! I might need that back actually
  22. My mate's R33 (RH9GTR) made about 320kw @ 4 wheels with HKS 2530 turbos if I remember correctly, and 360kw @ all four with race fuel.
  23. Lets put it this way... If you don't run an 11 with all that, you don't deserve to own the car, and have to give it to me
  24. I honestly think a Twin Plate is just as easy to operate as a Heavy Duty Single Plate... Stay away from the Triple Plates though
