  1. I was going to refrain from commenting in this thread, but here's a quick one before I head out tonight. As annoying as it may be for a bike rider to split your lane and come dangerously close to scratching/leaning on your car, you have to remember ONE thing. If you accidentally hit them whilst "racing them off the line", you're going to have to live with that for the rest of your life. There ain't no such thing as a "small accident" on a bike... You have no metal protecting you when you hit that asphalt, and hit it HARD. Think about it... When they lane split, to the front of the grid, they're sitting about 0.5m from the bonnet of your car. What if you launch it and they don't? God forbid your rear end slides out and points your bonnet directly at the biker... You're gonna completely wipe them off the face of the planet. Granted. It may be illegal to lane split, and FCUKING annoying, but it's also illegal to race them off the line because you don't like them doing it. Most importantly, it could be fatal for the bike rider.
  2. *fap fap fap*
  3. Personally, I'd take the non vspec Series 2 IN AN INSTANT... No thought required.
  4. Kinks... Definitely bring your car... Group C are a bunch of slow-asses, so you'll be fine Trust me... If you go for a ride in someone else's car, you'd better have you car there to take onto the track, because you're going to want it BAD after your passenger ride
  5. WERD!!! Steak night next wednesday!!! Thanks for organising Dundan!
  6. Series 1 R33 GTR... So it would be a 1995 model car. 2003 - 1995 = 8 8 year old car, and you honestly think it's got 33,000 kms on the clock? I assume you know how easy it is to wind back the odometer, or replace it with another dash cluster. I wouldn't trust any kms showing from any import dealer... Odometer rewinding is RAMPANT, and near impossible to detect if done by someone experienced. If you go ahead with the swap, may I suggest a timing belt swap ASAP?
  7. I wouldn't call that a waste at all... What would you rather see? Someone pay over $400,000 for an exotic supercar and keep it in his garge with 50 other similar cars and employ someone to wash them every day so he can look at them once a month, or some enthusiast who is lucky enough to be able to purchase said exotic supercar and take it to the track and use it as it was intended? It's a pity that it was crashed, but I'm glad to see that the owner was out there having a go...
  8. Because I said I wouldn't vote for Bob Carr, you assume that I'd vote Liberal? There are more than two parties out there people, there aren't just two choices you know? Problem is, most people think there are only two choices, so they either vote for one or the other, and the other parties never get a chance.
  9. If any of you vote for Bob Carr, you had better NEVER speak out and complain about road rules, speed cameras or police harassment at defect stations EVER AGAIN.
  10. Wakefield really isn't a track suited for Skylines, especially my Skyline, but I'll go... I haven't been to Wakefield for a while...
  11. How about: 5 - Poor 4 - Okay 3 - Good 2 - Excellent 1 - Schumacher :bahaha:
  12. I think you're rating system is a little skewed... Just because you can do EC in 2:02 (which really isn't anything to brag about), and Wakefield in 1:17 (*really* nothing to brag about), it doesn't mean you're a good driver at all... Lap times are very dependant on the car... I'd say nearly everyone would be able to pull off a sub two minute EC lap in my car, just purely because of the power... Out of 5, I'd rate myself a 3.
  13. You're a legend Dan Money deposited.
  14. AKTUNG!
  15. 6" dump pipe? Tuned the S-AFC to 14:1 A/F ratios? Ummmmm... I concur with the other people who said to to find another workshop.
  16. It would be so much easier to just give us a bank account to deposit money into, so we don't have to traipse all the way to homebush just for 5 mins...
  17. Yeah, because people usually think their opinion is wrong And how could I have missed the point of the thread when I MADE THE THREAD?!? Well... Firstly, I never called him a wanker. Don't put words in my mouth. And why is it that if someone dies, you cannot reprimand them? Why, if they're stupid enough to kill themselves instead of being smart enough to keep their speeds lower, can you not denigrate and school their actions? Although I feel for his family and loved ones he's left behind, I don't feel that he's out of bounds for comment because he died. Who are you? I don't know anyone from Melbourne with a DC2? Did I win the race? The turbo timer was to cool the car down after using Nitrous. In fact, I have had a major accident whilst doing something stupid. I wrote off my second car, and I'm just glad I didn't hurt or involve anyone else whilst doing so... Yes, I was a wanker, dickhead, loser, whatever... I can take it because it's true. But I'm glad to be able to say that I've matured from that stage in my life... I'm able to better evaluate risks and potential shortcomings of my actions, and although I may still have a small squirt from the lights (I won't lie and say I don't), I won't goto organised street races for the sole purpose to race. That's what the track is for. and THAT my friend, is the point of this thread.
  18. You have successfully missed the entire point of this thread. Of course motorsport is dangerous. Duh. But everyone who goes to the track acknowledges that, and takes that risk willingly. if you have an off, in most cases, there will be ample runoff area for you to stop, grab your breath and go again... If an accident happens, it's in a controlled environment and hopefully there are safety procedures in place to get medical attention to you ASAP. But that's not even the biggest point. The whole "go to the track you dickhead street racer" thing is because if you wipe out at the track at 180km/h, you will only involve yourself, and God forbid, other track goers, who have acknowledged the dangers involved in motorsport. When you wipe out on a public road at 180km/h, and take out an Accord with father, mother and two children going to their Sunday picnic, it's a whole different scenario isn't it? Of course we've all sped, and had a squirt from the lights, but this isn't what I'm talking about. I'm talking about those people who line the streets with cars and spectators, and do organised races on public roads. I submit Evidence A. http://www.andrewho.com/misc/chumps.wmv
  19. At this stage, I'm in.
  20. SOLD, btw...
  21. Devil May Cry is an awesome game... I've finished it, so I have no use for it anymore... I played it for a week straight
  22. Yes, you will get an improvement by cleaning up your air/fuel ratios... Most cars will have a noticable gain by fittment by an AFC or aftermarket ECU...
  23. Autronics are absolutely excellent ECUs.
