Excellent in the dry, unequalled in the wet, and good wear rates for the grip they provide... 255s are fine, but let me give you a hint: replace all four tyres at the same time, otherwise ATESSA will go bonkers.

I have a completely stock bottom end. Not by choice, I just haven't gotten around to doing it yet. It's held 280rwkw for the last year without faltering once. It all comes down to the tuning. If you can curb detonation, the stock pistons IMHO could handle upto 300rwkw. There are quite a few RB25s with standard bottom ends out there making in excess of 300rwkw... But don't get me wrong. I completely agree with your decision to put forgies in there, and do the job properly. You can sleep well at night knowing you've done everything to look after your engine. As for what brand, for 250-300rwkw, I really don't think the expensive Jap pistons are necessary. Go for Wisecos or JE pistons. Good luck mate!

If you're making 185rwkw, you won't be anywhere NEAR the limit of the RB25 internals.

Those TE37s are for a GTR, you'll have exactly the same offset clearance problems with them as you're having with your NISMO rims.

It's almost natural to do 60-70km/h on them, and just as easy to press down another 0.5cm on the throttle and hit 80km/h... DO1Js are circuit tyres. They *SUCK* bigtime at drags, trust me... I have first hand experience. It's like trying to use Nitto NT555Rs (with their non-existant sidewall strength) to cut quick laps on the circuit. It just doesn't work.
