  1. isn't that just standard ride height? you could almost fist that space between the guard n tyre. And are those holden wheels?
  2. exact same problem in my ceffy today. wipers don't work at all, but when they turn on, a buzzing noise comes from the dash and my brake signal on the cluster comes on. sucks balls with it raining hard in brissy.
  3. spotted a purple r32 with a black roof two tone, sporting BN kit and what looks like a safety 21 rollcage... drivign down moggil road from brookvale. was sitting next to him, but the driver seemed to not care... meh.
  4. yeah I'm gonna keep looking out for anothe rpair of godfathers in 9" with a +25 offset for the front, till i find them I'm just gonna lengthen the hub bolts and run 20mm spacers on the ones I have now to bring em out.
  5. Flushhhhhhhhh Pants tighten everytime you look in the side mirror and just see the edge of the wheel chillin outside the guard. Flushhh FAIL in the front by about 1.5cm. Didn't realise that the guard would flex so much when rolled. will need to get longer bolts and space it out or buy more Godfathers... MOAR GODFATHERS!!!1! Fronts are 18x8.5 +35 (with a 3mm spacer to clear the strut) and rears are 18x9.5 +35 (perfect IMHO for cef) Tyres are 215/40/18 in front and 225/40/18 in the rear, which tucks in under the rolled guard nicely, and still retains the crease line on the guard. If I was to get another paid for the front I'd go 18x9" with a +25 or +26 offset. That would clear the strut AND space the outside of the wheel to be FLUSHHHHH with guard. I might try R33 LCA's to try and push the track out a lil, but with the car running shocks and springs instead of coilovers, I can't have camber tops to cancel out the negative camber longer LCA's will give me Or is my theory flawed?
  6. used to own a Hachirusto too. ahh good times. mmm solid rear axle love. BTW, wanna buy the plates BOR086 or a jdm tyte Levin front grille? i've got a couple of leftovers from my hachi chillin in my garage. So if its stock, its got a 4AC? or have you done a twincam swap?
  7. got some Kumho KU31's stretched onto the wheels last weekend. Bigups to Option1Garage... great guys and prices that make me want to touch myself in inappropriate places. 215/40/18 on 18x8.5 +35 225/40/18 on 18x9.5 +35 Ready to go on the car rolled the lip on the guards and fitted the wheels up today. realised that my rear's are sporting some gangster toe in's will have to fix soon. Huge thanks to dave for taking a few hours to roll my guards. Very nice finish. Car sits about 7cm off the ground... with 3 people in the car the exhaust hangs about 2cm off the ground... gonna have to do some remedial surgery on the mounts this weekends. And finally... You know you love it. myrewards!
  8. epic lols at westsayeed pizza meet on thursday night...
  9. might be at sunnybank market square tonight for bubble tea with a couple other SAUer's.
  10. Myer is having a sale on Van Heusen suits. $180 for a $250 suit. Otherwise if its really urgent, hire one.
  11. wait, wat? he unleashed the dragon more than once?
  12. this is true, most of the guys on NS (not the muzza and habib nooblets tho) know way more about wheel fitment than you leprechauns ever will.
  13. SAUQLD stickers look like arse with a pinch of feet (like something someone created in Microsoft Word). Stick to the NSW/VIC ones, which use the GTR logo and the website's logo.
  14. This thread is brimming with prank date fail.
  15. lol ok that's a bit of a jump. lets keep the shit slinging to minimum. no probs, you can hit me or any of the other SAU VIC/NSW committee for the docos and paperwork and shortcuts when we had to get our CAMS affiliation when you guys decide what to do.
  16. lol yeah i know. you were included in the people i was talking about but i reckon if you're motivated enough to start an official club, you should use the base you've already built on SAU rather make some seperate thing? strength in numbers and all that. otherwise you risk just being another one of those small groups that you see one year at autosalon, and then never again... it'd be a shame to waste all the motivation. anyways, I'm sure when you guys sit down as a group and bash brains you'll come up with a good solution that benefits all.
  17. does an R35 count as a cheater car like Evo's? Should snowball be given a handicap at the next DECA?
  18. when i saw this thread i thought someone would pull the thumb out of their arse and get SAU SA organised (seeing as we have SAU VIC, NSW, WA and QLD up and running). The guys I've met in SA are an awesome bunch, and they all were keen to get something official going. There's plenty of wankers with skylines in VIC, and we still run the club. Its inevitable that they'll join up, but when they do its in the club rules that their membership can be revoked if the committee decides that they are out of line. That said from the posts you've made it seems that this is more about you than actually starting a club to help the guys on SAU Just remember you need to be SAU SA to operate tightly with this forum. Your personal little car club of hand picked members won't cut it. It needs to be open to the public. Anyways, this is where I butt out of this thread. Good luck.
  19. why don't you guys just start SAUSA(ge )?
  20. sif any other states outside VIC count for anything.
  21. april fools day is a really bad day to pick to announce that you just got a r35 GTR.
  22. actually, lots of guys run softer compound tyres to improve the grip in drifting... getting into the slide and spinning wheels is one element of it. controlling it and stopping yourself from spinning out is another major part where grip does come into it. The better cars that drift have enough power and strong drivetrains to spin grippier wheels when needed, and still be able to steer, stop and change momentum. guys who run on cheap shitty tyres usually end up spending more time fighting the car for control than actually carving out great corners.
  23. ohhh. I'm on the coro drive side of that intersection.
  24. yeah i might tag along too. bring some wessaaayyyeeed awesomeness to the mix.
  25. welcome mate did you buy one from Canada or did you import a left hand drive model fromthe Phillipines? You're loco for wanting to swap out an SR20 powered ceffy back to a boring old RB though. Keep the SR, enjoy epic perfection in weigh balance.
