  1. wonder if the owner of that car will ever see this thread and realise what he's done?
  2. GIF-Workshop? think it has an import movie function. otherwise grab Virtual dub, and it has an export to gif function.
  3. car's fine. nissan australia's just run by overzealous biggots with their heads stuck up their asses which still reeks of 1990. I don't think they fully grasp the concept of a multinational market.
  4. cheeky bugger. i figgered the staff would snap it up straight away leaving none on sale. plus you get your extra 5% or 10% staff discount!
  5. The reason its cheap is cos i actually bypass Jaycar and go to Digitech. It does still ahve the warranty on it, but it has to come back to me and I'd have to sort it out for you. Usually its a no questions asked replacement policy on low value items... but obviously if it looks like its been crushed by a car it'd look a lil sus. Failing that, I've found the simplest way was to buy one from jaycar, chuck the broken one in, and return it to get your cash back bit cheeky, but when you need a replacement in a hurry, its the easiest way. Not that I endorse this officially When my mates go 4WD'ing, we just hook up the 3W cb to a external omnidirectional antenna, and it boosts the signal clarity greatly... one of the joys of a standardised antenna plug. Digitech also sells a 8db signal booster antenna with a magnetic base, which might be better than the supplied one if you wanna upgrade.
  6. jeez, they're comn in by the boatload... i mean... r33-load.
  7. Tell em to replace the tyres with GTR standard ones when they wear out under warranty and you'll be more than happy to keep em on. Doesn't the GTR ECU record wheel changes? Or is it only launch control?
  8. All up think it cost me like $400 in parts (already had a Leadtek HDTV tuner). I buy my parts pretty much exclusively from MSY and U-mart. Installed the TV tuner card using a PCI riser (adapter for servers that let you install cards parallel to the motherboard in case of space restraints).
  9. My HTPC uses an A-Bit Fatality FI90HD. Its got HDMI out and SPDif for Audio (as well as 5.1 analogue, but I haven't used it as my amp takes digital in). Ram is 8GB with a 1 TB green WD HDD. All sitting in a hollowed out VHS case which I'm currently fitting out with a SATA hotswap where the video tape used to go in. Got a BlueRay DVD/ DVD burner combo drive for playing DVD's. Awesome thing was the VHS unit already had a power converter that supplied 6V and 12V at 250W so all I had to do was run the right wires with some resistors to get 3.3 and 5.5V to my MB and HDD. Its fairly quiet and compact, which is what I want out of something that sits under my TV. Plus no one realises that its a HTPC cos of its casing I've been using XBMC all these days for interface on Vista 64, although I do wanna try out something like Media Centre too for its XBox360 connectivity.
  10. It was for a clearout special about 2 weeks ago now I think, at selected stores. They didn't really advertise it much.
  11. $110 is the cheapest it gets even with any more purchases... I suppose the only way to save any more is to ship it all to the same addy and then pick it up... good excuse for a cruise anyways. The 1.5W jigga is $63ish if you get 5 or more. http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=DC1045 Car chargers are $10 if we get 5 or more. If we get 10 you save a few more cents.
  12. The 3W jiggers are $110.50 plus shipping if you buy 5 or more (can have them delivered to one address, and you guys can pick em up from there to make it cheaper). http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=DC1060 They're as strong as a handheld CB is gonna get, and comes with the most features. Also includes a rechargeable battery and mains charger. You can buy VOX mic's, helmet mics and car chargers as well at an added cost, let me know if you want any.
  13. Driver door weather strip (the plastic piece that clips into the outside that stops rain comin in).
  14. I can still get em... might be different price tho, will update you shortly.
  15. ummm its this kit... which is a Grace kit from what I can tell, but some people seem to think its the mythical Autech S2 kit, and other think its a TBO kit.
  16. I'd rather this: Infinity Essence http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/03/geneva-...olls-out-its-e/ Powered by a twin-turbo, direct-injection 3.7-liter V6 and a new electric drive design dubbed "3D Motor", the Essence yields a combined 592 brake horsepower (434 via internal-combustion, 158 brake horsepower via the lithium-ion backed disc-shaped electric motor).
  17. also cos you're lankan. true story.
  18. all them colours belong on George St, Sydney on a friday night. Accompanied by lots of chromies.
  19. well to gain a majority in a 150 seat house of representatives you'd need 76 politicians to sanction the bill to have the lightbulb changed. so 76 eddie. lock it in.
  20. lapped by the pace car... the shame V8 supertaxi's... the shame.
  21. some lady back into a 3 lane road while he was comin down it at 70... radiator panel took the brunt of it, and the right fender. bonnet was pushed up. Insurance co wrote it off, I bought it back, fixed it up at Driftline, welded in a new rad panel, replaced all the broken parts, re-engineered and now back on the road.
