  1. holford motors (get number off whitepages or google em) in melbourne import D-Max fenders, good rates, container shipping though, so you might have to wait for them to get here. They should do the door trims as well. The origin door trims are cheaper though. There's plenty of shops making em now in japan. Dunno why you'd wanna fibreglass door lining though... if its a race car its heavy unnecessary shit (we use a flat carbon fibre sheet with holes cut out for winder and door release)... and if its a passenger car, fibreglass interior is the most uncomfortable and rattly shit you can put inside your car. Dunno bout you but I lean on my door trim a fair bit when I drive... fibreglass tends to crack and warp a bit too easily.
  2. ya, as thrtytwo said... this front lip comes down in front of that lil extrusion on the bar, so there's no interference. the front of the bonnet is just a few cm back from the face of the front bumper, instead of stepping back a couple of inches to the headlight line (just like an R34 GTR)... which is what I want. Its designed to go on an R32 GTS/GTSt and usable with the standard bonnet release lever. If you put it on a GTR you'll have to make a hole in the mesh to access the release. First thing on the to do list when I get it is to remove that line in the middle going back from the drop vent... might need to reinforce the opening from underneath though. I might take a pic of my car in the right position so I can photoshop the bonnet on to see what it looks like.
  3. after 6 years of owning various R32's now I don't even notice it... but everytime someone jumps in the passenger seat they tell me about the square crack i've got around the window and right down the middle.

Hey guys, I'm about to bring down an Aeromaster Type 2 bonnet for the R32 from japan, but before I buy one, I wanted to know if anyone's actually seen one on a car, and if they have pics of anything similar (mainly the front piece). Its supposed to give it a slightly R34'ish look... but I've only ever seen one pic of it, and that's from the manufacturer. So if any of you have seen it or have any other pics, can you please post em up? here's the pic I've got:

  14. wire comes up from under the car, there's a rubber grommet under your spare wheel where the wire comes thru. yours probably dosen't light up for the same reason as mine which was the EL's busted after more than 10 years of use. hot air gun (or hair dryer) the glue between the panel and bumper and slowly use a blade to cut the double sided tape off. Be careful when taking the panel off, its really brittle and can snap in two very easily. Once its off, mod it with a new EL sheet or high brightness LED's and reattach it back on.

  18. r33 non xenon headlights are plastic... r32 an i think r34 are glass. what you'll probably find is that moisture is getting inside you headight that gets dirty (usually thru a crack or a break in the silicone seal). water can carry dust particles and also speed up the UV reaction that the plastic undergoes.
  19. they're both sports cars, one was targetted at people who wanted a sporty looking cutting edge aesthetics based car, the other was a touring car based on a passenger car (as required by the racing rules of the time)... hence the GT badges, they competed in group A races, the silvias were also a touring car which competed in group C (or something like that). its like if i asked you what is holden's flagship sports car... the commodore or the monaro... the monaro is right? but they still race the commodore platform in V8 supercars, not the monaro.
  20. actually all models from the ALSI in the 60's, thru to the C10's and the R30's n R31's and even the R32's thru to the R34 are designed as passenger cars first, then as the touring car race models. R32 n/a coupe and 4 doors came out 4 or 5 months before the GTR, R33 sedans and coupes were out a whole year before the GTR's. etc etc. They're most definitely designed on a passenger car platform. The 300zx and the Z series on the other hand are designed from the ground up to be sports cars. And the rules weren't changed to exclude the GTR from racing, do a search on the forum, its a common misconception.
