  1. spotted sxygtst driving past my work yesterday... that thing sounds tuff man
  2. Im a big big big fan of the Power FC as you just plug it in, dont have to stuff about rewiring sensors etc. You can pick up an AP Engineering (as Apexi didnt make them for the RB20DET themselves, however AP Engineering is 'Apexi Engineering') Power FC from greenline and nengun for around $1200 delivered. You can also pay $100 extra or so for the "Pro" version which has launch control and an ignition cut for things like rev limiters, as opposed to the normal versions fuel cut. Then theres a few people who can tune them, Jakes Performance in Mitchell, Hills Motorsport and Croydon Racing Developments in Sydney. All are around the $600 - $800 mark for a full tune.
  3. Yah and i lied, I dont actually work at teletech, I just wanted to fit in as it seems everyone else on these forums does
  4. Yeah ive heard from a few people theres a bayside blue r34 gtr v-spec getting around canberra, its been spotted a few times in the past few days.
  5. the queues are huge, i hate working at teletech
  6. I wonder if the government will reimburse people under 21 who bought a car thats over the power:weight ratio before the rules come into effect. It wouldnt exactly be fair to the owners if they had to sell their car and loose money on it...
  7. haha gotta love dickheads like that... dont worry about it man, he will get his back somewhere along the line.
  8. as abo bob said its normal, its a turbo car, they run rich to protect themselves a bit (better than leaning out) and as a result, the fuel will burn in the exhaust causing the pops.
  9. That price is just for the pistons, doesnt include the conrods or crankshaft that come in the higher priced ($10,000+) kits. And yes, Grex is Greddy is Trust etc. They are the same company, but technically they are different.
  10. To me the coolant bubbling in the radiator sounds like you may have overheated the car and blown a headgasket, which would cause the white smoke and performance problems the cars now having. Possibly get that checked out. Did you notice if the water (or even oil) temp was abnormal?
  11. saw the exa today at ali baba in erindale. they pulled up next to my car had a look around and then left. made me feel kinda uneasy...
  12. From what I understand the only safe way of doing it is removing the front drive shafts unless someone can advise otherwise.
  13. sounds like me, i was in queanbeyan at that time
  14. Man I feel bad about reccomending them now Their address as far as anywhere is concerned is Snezana Pty Ltd T/A Quickeze Towing Majura Road Piallago 2609 Maybe go in in person and confront him face to face with pictures of the damage etc? Or better yet take the car in. I dont think there are any businesses on Majura Road, just a few houses/farms so im guessing it would be a business run from home at one of them.
  15. I use Motul 300V Chrono 10W40 and the stuff works brilliantly for me...
  16. All I know is the JDM spec s is an SR20DE (2.0 litre non turbo) and cannot be imported, and the JDM spec r could only be imported for early 1999 models. The aus spec s and spec r have the same power on paper, unsure what exactly the differences are. As for s15 sites, try searching for Nissan Silvia (hint, theres even a forum named that) which had loads of information on them.
  17. which part of it, the skyline or the red mr2 that appears to have ventured well off the track?
  18. Or if you do the above, option #2... watch them rear end your car as you slam on your brakes, have to call a tow truck to get home and have no car for a few weeks/months. Then spend time trying to find a decent mechanic that can repair it to be as straight as possible, keeping in mind with a hard enough hit up the back of the car, it will never drive the same again. Sorry but it shits me to no end when people suggest slamming your brakes on (even momentarily) as its plain stupid, and technically it should be your fault if you cause an accident. Even if the guy was too close behind you, you still caused the accident by slamming your brakes on.
  19. Well most of you have seen my car... 1992 R32 GTR -- white it goes psssccchhhhhhh
  20. First ride was back in 2001 in a R33 GTSt, big apexi front mount, high flowed turbo, was awesome and pulled pretty hard... the owner wrote it off 2 weeks later around a tree. Second ride was in 2003 in a R32 GTR with N1 spec turbos, making a considerable amount of power. This thing hauled arse, and I bought one a few months later.
  21. Spotted BOO57A heading towards Wakefield around midday on Sunday, I was in the white r32 gtr leaving wakefield heading to goulburn... nice looking car if you check this thread man
  22. Check your rear tyres, they have probably worn down compared to the front. This has happened to me, replaced with 255/40/17's (all 4 at the same time), the rear ones are now worn out and the fronts still have 80% tread left and its doing what you described.
  23. Unless I missed it somewhere in the post, what time does it start so I can get their early to book a spot?
  24. ahaha jayce has funny taillights just kidding man
  25. I have an R32 GTR which had Blitz blow off valves installed and running 1.2 bar boost. I changed them back this afternoon to factory GTR bov's and now the car wont boost above 0.8 bar even with the boost controller turned off. Are they simply leaking, or does anyone have any ideas of something im possibly missing?
