  1. That is pretty mad, mk5 golf with a wide body. Front bar is a liil too much but i definitely wouldnt turn one down. 550hp and a top speed of 325... Too bad they are concept only
  2. Ah i'm pretty sure the round one is a amplifier for the rear speakers actually. Double check, look for Clarion (or some other major brand) written on it
  3. hey, another thing with justcar, if you cant get the right agreed value or the price seems high, ring back in 20 minutes. I got quotes ranging from 3200-2600 on my old gts-t and it took 4 phone calls to get it agreed for 14. I got quoted 2600 and 2200 for a my GTR (coming) as well, and agreed at 22k. I think alot depends on who u get on the phone.
  4. hehehe thats so true (the 2nd part) I know a bloke with a stock rb20 in a s14 (had a CA previously) and it's alot quicker than another friends standard sr20 powered 180... but then the cars lighter i guess
  5. Someone link me to a thread about the dob in a hoon thing plz
  6. huh? just a mere.. I don't even have a rb20 powered car..
  7. Yeh i was thinking the same thing, wtF's with that?!?! And sif having a NA makes u a better driver... U can drive just as slow in a fast car as u can in a slow one
  8. All our wheel nuts have been around $15 from beaurepaires or goodyear, and we haven't had any problems. They might be cheaper material but, it's not such a problem if you don't overtighten them. Just don't use the impact gun on them and don't use too much leverage and they'll be fine
  9. Hehe your probably right. Still, golf was most fun car i've had or driven, so i gotta talk it up a bit right
  10. I remember slowly losing a s2000 up the kinglake road, in my 78 golf gti. He'd get right up my arse on the straights but he was a pussy around the corners, and i had nothing to lose (or maybe he was scared if he got any closer his car would get sucked into the vortex being created by my body roll). I reckon we need a stig, then we need to test a tx3 V a gtr. Say two laps, so the gtr has some overlapping space.
  11. Yeh, thats what im wondering about though, how much awd traction (mainly take off) drop off the 1/4
  12. Hey, I'm just wondering if anyone knows how much 4WD drops off your average 1/4 mile (say for example the 4wd in gtr's or rexies) ok so lets say (and these are theoretical) 1/4 mile times a 1250kg gts-t with standard suspension/tyres a 1250kg gst-t with awd with standard suspension/tyres also a 200rwkw r32 gts-t with standard suspension/tyres a stock r32 gtr (around 200awkw) with standard suspension/tyres (12.8-13) I'm just trying to get a rough idea Also lets take a standard r32 GTR (200awkw and about a 13 second 1/4) and put it in rwd mode, what kind of quarter are we looking at? Thanks, just trying to get a general idea of how much the improved take off drops the 1/4
  13. OK cool, just figuring out what i'm looking at roadworthied and with a full service (i got my dad to ring you earlier and arrange you to drop it to a beaurepaires store next saturday i believe) i was just finalizing details that i have no doubt he forgot to ask about thanks
  14. Yeh, i've seen that site, just wasn't sure because it was imported whether i will need the original compliance and engineers or need to renew them
  15. If you work in richmond you will see alottt of these. Generally they are on mercs and stuff, but occasionally subaru's will have them but yeh, they basically consist of random numbers, normally set up like 878 787 or 121 212 , always the same 2 numbers in a sequence (occasioanly some like 878 121) I don't get it i just assumed it's a rich person thing
  16. Ok so looks like this thing needs major service done still, but my main question is: what needs to be done to this car to register it in vic? just need a victorian rwc done or need engineers and compliance again or what? thanks guys
  17. ohh ok beerbaron, thanks for clearing that up
  18. Yeh thanks baron/otherdudewhosnameisonthepreviouspageandicantbebotheredlookingup, i just verified this with some random guy wandering about and he said 10 psi variance is ok (i'm assuming these things had 145 standardish) on a 15 year old car.. i guess your looking at 20-30 horsepower loss having 15-20psi down on some cylinders, right I'm assuming it's got the standard oil pump on it? Running standard boost? (no controller) Only other servicing on it has been fluids? (no timing belts or fuel pumps replaced?) Also is the front bar on it standard or is that a nismo item?(the two vents) Did you have the gearbox replaced? Thanks, i'm pretty interested
  19. I was really looking for a freshly rebuilt car, but this is a good price and the paint is great, so can you just tell me if the fluctuations of up to 10 psi (assuming psi is what was used to gauge) are big fluctuations or whether we're talking minor damage or we're factory condition (145 140 150 145 150 150)
  20. hehe, he's a smart fellow
  21. Not really comparing it.. Just the front bar.. looks like something off a sonata.. I'm sure the engine is bigger..
  22. Front looks a bit Hyundai like, change that and i'll take a few off their hands
