  1. Oh, i assumed that gtr's came out same year as the gts-t's so there are 94 32 GTR's? That 32 above is nicee, looking at the 32 it's a better looking car that i see alot less often to.. Now i've decided 33 isn't the route to go for me (as looks just dont do anything for me) So now it's just a toss up between a 34 GTT (with idk, a new engine or something, rb25/30 perhaps) or a 32 GTR
  2. What'll that set me back rb30 block from a vl (so has low comp) $1500? (assuming won't need rebuilding) and then just use the top half of the engine i have now. and then a decent sized hks turbs, so i'm looking at about 10k? Also will i get that power to the ground? my 32 gts-t couldnt get 190rwkw to the ground in 1st, would spin as soon as it hit boost (on 265 dunlop SP maxx's with no lowering) will a rwd 34 with that much balls manage to put it down without slicks? It has to be sorta streetable because i will occasionally drive it to work and such
  3. Lol yeh true but, the body roll is enough to bring tears and the body slip is even worse (it has buckets but every time i turn a corner i still manage to slide out of it and smack into the door) It's more of a cruiser, it'll have engine work done to it, but it'll stay a side project, i want the gtr for my actual car, car
  4. lol that's true as well Hey, can anyone tell me.. Would my old Rb20 in my gtst be more reliable/take more crap than a rb26? Or is the main issue how much thrashing it's taken before? Never had any trouble with my rb20 and that thing used to see redlines 20+ times a day is all
  5. Hmm that's true, good to hear someone saying that the 32 felt better than the 33 though. Now i just need to find someone crazy enough to test drive both >.<
  6. Like? I mean 5-10-15k more and u get a newer engine.. paint will be new on any r32 i buy and most of the ground components will still be holding up fine, right. Also R32 GTR 92 and a R33GTR 93 will probably show the same signs of wear across the grid right?
  7. Yeh, I was looking at the one in the for sale section (yellow one) looks yum and for only 27 it seemed ok, sorta inspired me towards 34's. Only major down was it won't be much faster than my 32 gtst was when i first bought it (b4 mods) and that cost me only $13k. I'm not worried about up keep price as i don't have anything else to spend money on
  8. Yeh, that's not cool... the 96 model was OK looking, the bug eye sucked then they fixed it in 2002(ish) and i was happy with how it looked, then came the latest rex which is nice except im not a fan of front lights/grille, and now they've totalled it and brought this out... why don't they poll outside the company before designing these things!!??!
  9. Hmm ok so i'm looking for a car at the moment ( | | this close to 21) and i can't decide what to get. Now R32 GTR in my opinion is better looking than a R33 GTR and has the nicest front of any skyline (!). Any R32 i would look at would be freshly resprayed and preferably have a rebuilt engine, so i'd be looking at around 30k. R32's also weigh less than a 33 GTR, and with the same engine in it would do betteer over the 1/4. Now R33 GTR's are not ugly but don't exactly look nice, the just seem too big and camry/magna like. That said i still wouldnt mind buying one (although i wouldnt ever consider a GTS-T) The plus to the R33 will be a newer engine and better overall condition (it's only really the engine i'm worried about mind you) and the price tag would be around 30-35k i believe. The R34 GTT are good looking at the front (almost as good looking as R32's) and have the nicest sides and back in my opinion but are slow compared to the others. The main pull in one would be because they look real nice.. if i can get one and put a decent engine (rb26) in it for under 30k that'd be pretty sweet (and i see them for as low as 25 so its not tooo much of a dream) but i'm not sure how the gearbox etc would hold up Granted that everyone will have different opinions on what looks best which option would you take if you were ME? thanks
  10. Either drain your radiator or put plenty of rust inhibitor in your water, oil won't matter, fuel may stagnate over that amount of time and be useless, but it shouldnt cause any damage. Make sure the car is getting some fresh air into the interior to, that should prevent mildew and mold and make sure it's not left in direct sunlight. I'd take out the battery just in case to.. something weird might happen to make it overflow, bubble or blow up
  11. I had a DRIFT pod on mine and the sound was sweet as and pretty loud. couldnt keep it on often on account of the 2 induction mods but dam it sounded sweet. Like that guy said above, it'll save you buying a bov, you wont have to worry about a drop in performance and unlike the venting bov's which only make noise when u back off, with a pod youll get a loud induction noise then an even louder bov noise but in the same tone (as opposed to a quiet whine then a shhhhht). sounds sweet!
  12. 1 hour and 45 minutes to get from richmond to footscray.. avoiding the tunnell.. taking the quiet way, at 11am... I'd sleep overnight if i was in the city and headed out of the city tonight. would hate to see traffic at peak hour
  13. ouch, your just about to sell the car too right (it's been tempting me for a while now)
  14. Oranges are good for you.. Apple seeds contain "prunasin" which is a cyanogenic glycoside - a chemical that can become a poison when it is digested - it releases cyanide.
  15. Rwd will probably be more fun.. And the performance of a r32 V 98 rex is pretty close. The wrx will hold it's value better in the loong run and is a newer car so less hassles.. But they are also very common. Up to you but i was looking at a 96 rex and the 32 ended up being a better choice all things considered
  16. Got sick of eltham cops, or just wanted a change?
  17. Hoons... or just... Young People... or just.. People with decent cars..
  18. Yeh i saw same thing, some big assed army cargo plane and a jet tailgating it, looked down a sec looked up and couldnt see a jet, so assumed either jet overtook or cargo slammed on the brakes
  19. mmm 300rwkw would be nice.. specially since the car only weighs 1350 kilo's.. would just need a decent diff then (some retard took out the suregrip and put an aftermarket single spinning piece of crap in about 20 years ago) and i could be looking at some alright times down the 1/4
  20. Ah ok thanks, heres hoping they don't, otherwise it's just a matter of borrowing someones ecu (or buying one off ebay for $50)
  21. It's a full EPA, sorry i was unaware that for just an exhaust noise you can get sent to the EPA, i thought you just went to a store licensed to do the EPA tests (which happened to me) And he's a pretty good mate so i wanna help him out know wat i mean
  22. Yehh, true.. Cost too much money to get this thing moving though, so either it'll be an engine transplant or i'll just keep it and try my luck again with a skyline..guess i need to just head to a chrysler show and shine or something, see if i can get it on a page of some mopar related magazine
  23. hehe bigger, but assuming your gts is all original i got nothing on you in resale I'm gonna go right ahead and post up a pic, coz, well i just wana.. http://img252.imageshack.us/my.php?image=s...ndval116pt4.jpg <<< mmm
  24. anyone at all?
  25. ermm yeh true, i suppose other car mags don't really cover autosaloon then? I recall seeing a bit of old school stuff in various magazines, normally coz it looked pimp regardless of genre, theres too much muscle to compete with elsewhere (and in other mags) hehe. The list of cars i had was from a show i went to about 4 years back, so i guess it's more ranged now but at the time it was rice central with like 2 v8's so i wasn't sure if that was still the way (although i musta gone last year coz i recall the sau stand and a stock standard civic with 17" rims sitting looking lonely in a corner) Guess i'll have to wait for another show that caters more to my car type and doesn't have a anything after 86 rule. Just that it won't stand out as much at a hot rod show (and your average hot rod show bores me) Old school legends category would be pimp to get into, but at the moment i wouldnt say its legendary hehe, sure we put alot of time money and effort into the paint, exterior, interior and drive but a 318 with edelbrock manifold a 600 holley a zorst system and some mopar rocker covers isn't exactly legendary Thanks anyways, i guess i'll just go and watch it all unfold
