    Good Tow Cars?

Bought a 4.5 98 dual fuel Pootrol, bought it because I have had a 4.2 before, $13k with 240k on it, fresh motor, bull bar, electric brakes, lift kit etc neat inside and out. Would love to have a better range, but the same thing with the decent diesel is $25k+, Cruiser is worse again.. Apart from that I cannot fault it, it is the second best money I have spent behind my house. I know it uses a metric F load of gas, but even in Bathurst I can get 500k for $85 going to and from work, which is about 7-8k, $120 ish to Goulburn and back dragging an extra 1.8-2t both ways in 2 hours I could not recommend anything else for the money
  2. Pretty sure a T04Z would not fit on a standard manifold due to being low mount, but I am sure someone who knows more will soon confirm..
  3. What MrStabby said!! I have not gone the controller route yet, but will do so. I am not too sure about the difference between standard GTRs and the v-spec, if someone is happy for me to take their 32 for a run I will tell you I know mine still gets very little front drive. I have to say though my mother has a 33 v-spec, and the ALSD is noticeably better. Far less taily, but even just changing to -9 turbos made the difference for me by making power more progressive. Also have a read of this: http://autospeed.com.au/cms/A_107753/article.html

  5. Post the vin in the Fast thread, that will soon tell you. Or be a bit less secret squirrel and tell us why you think it's an n1..
  6. Great day guys!! Had a great time given the conditions, ended up going into Eastern creek, then turning around and going straight back to Bathurst.. Congrats to everyone for behaving themselves
  7. Cool, travelling from Bathurst so it better be!!!
  8. Don't forget COTF is considerably lighter than the current cars as well, and I would not be so certain about the loss of horsepower...
  9. Mate and I in the 32, my Mother and maybe +1 in the 33,
  10. Would love an update handbrake!!! Economy in particular, got a 4.5 manual and really thinking a 3076 running really low boost could help more than hinder ..

    Group A Thread

VL appears to have brake issues, ie they were not getting applied... Meanwhile where the f**** did the GIO Gtr end up..... Looked mighty scary..
  12. For Nissan to get their money back on the engine and gearbox alone they need more than 7 year run in one model,
  13. I heard they were going to run an RB28dett in the R35, even Winfield are coming back to sponsor it
  14. I don't get this assumption that Nissan headlights are going to make exactly the same car miraculously quicker than Holden and Ford headlights.. Or that they are going to run a Nissan motor, where are they going to fit pushrods in any of the Nissan motors?
  15. Well that's good enough for me to know it's crap, thanks chef.
  16. Heard a rumor that race only imports are no longer allowed due to some of them getting a new lease on life in the form of different compliance plates... Is this true?
  17. Knew this car with the previous owner, it was well looked after by him as well.
  18. Running one in the 32, my fan attacked it when the water pump went, still not leaking..
  19. I was just coming in here to say that Fatz should be here any minute....
  20. Third party and comprehensive are 2 different things, so having full comprehensive third party is like saying you have a Nissan Skyline Pulsar... But yeah, hassle AAMI, a lot..
  21. Hyundai are really well built cars now, possibly better that Toyota ATM, and my feeling is Kia is probably not that different, they just have not had the chance to really prove it yet. But you have to bear in mind that you are paying less money because of that risk factor, and you will pay 3-4k less, and get 6-7k less back on it.. Sister has a Cerato sedan and loves it.
  22. Awesome, Similar aim to my V-spec II, although the purchase price of an v-spec kinda pushes the budget up.. Knew exactly how you felt reading through the story. From wanting an R32 to the sinking feeling when it goes "pop".. (ceramic turbos in my case) After almost 3 years of ownership (and about 9 months off the road) I can assure you it is worth it. The buzz of driving mine never goes away!!
