  1. gaki.....the vehicle has an on board diagnosis function.....it is activated by earthing one of the wires in the diagnostic connector ....you will see a little door/panel that unclips from on the lower steering column trim....thats where it lives....i cant remember which wire it is but you just switch the ignition on and earth it momentary and it enters diag mode.........to check which one it is....just check for positive power and you know its not that one.....you cant harm anything from earthing something thats not live....anyway once it enters diag mode the lamp will start to flash....to exit just switch the ingition off

it was a small one half way down the 1/4 panel...looks like someone opened a door on it ....my mate just pushed on it with one of those paintless dent removing tools and he rolled it out

    Tie Rod Ends?

glad you think is was the right.....does that mean that when you come pick up the car you will be inspecting the right and not the left????OH GOODY!!! btw you have (or had) a dent on the right side
  6. dont forget buying through a broker you will also have to pay the japan agent fee (usually 80,000 yen)so you will be paying double service fee...unless you buy direct yourself
  7. its a fine silver base coat with a candy transparant top....
  8. hmmmmm humble pie....anyone want a peice?
  9. I have rebuilt a number of rotary engines and i have never seen then run any hotter........make sure they didnt use sillicon when they put the water pump on....they couldve partially blocked the water jackets
  10. yeah....but only there on sundays....otherwise leave em with vic
  11. I could do it for your....if your near the shop you could drop it in or leave it with Vic at EAS
  12. id say your getting reemed....at that price you require a formal entry....that means you need to see a broker
  13. this is why i ALWAYS dial camshafts in to the manufacturers specifications (Lobe centres)
  14. whats the damage look like?
  15. my point is that if a japanese company buys one of these so called gems.....he would be out of his mind to sell it to someone in another country for a commision fee....a smart person would send it to another auction....
  16. that my friend looks like KV2....there was 2 shades of silver the other one is WV2....but i think that one is KV2
  17. I think the term "no sh1t sherlock"comes into play here......as far as finding gems go....If i bought a bag of apples from place "x" and place "y" had them for a more expensive price...id be looking at buying them from "x" and selling them to "y"......however if an overseas orchard which we will call "z" wanted to buy some from me for a very minor commision fee not to mention added cartage fees and customs/shipping headaches(i also have to make sure an international money transfer went into my account and there are also extra fees there) ,i wouldnt bother i would still sell them to "y" because i have an account with "x" and i have sold it to "y" for a greater profit, less headaches and i havent even paid for it yet!Wouldnt this be a smarter way to do business???Unless those apples were rotten on the inside.....
  18. so your saying that the IAC valve(that controls the idle)cannot die?The timing check would also be a good idea...but make sure you have the correct procedure for your vehicle....ie some models you have to disconnect IAC valve/TPS cheers
  19. check your iac valve for correct operation
  20. dont forget to disconnect the tps and the aac valve
  21. This has been done a million and one times guys.......those bonnets are 1 layer c/f with the rest chopped strad and a plastic inner frame laminated on the inside.....In my opinion they are poorly laminated and dont offer ANY structural support what so ever......the genuine c/f bonnets from high class company's do what there made to do....and that is be extremly strong and very light....not just for looks.....and to those who say there not strong....what about a 34 GTR V spec II bonnet? There standard issue! Not to mention its commonly used on many supercars such as lambo's and ferrari....
  22. here what you "could"do....get a Getrag 6 speed from a supra and change the input shaft to a 34GTR one and run a 34 GTR bell housing/front case....93 onwards supra has a getrag V160/161 transmission and as do a 34 GTR...but they have a diffrent extension housing but the main trans is the same...ratios and all
  23. talk about "The boy who cried wolf" grow up.....if you both have a problem...sort it out like men.....your both wimps as far as i am concerned.....
  24. HUH????Just buy the cams and springs.....mill out the head....then fit them in and adjust the shims......whats "the set"????
