  1. easier with piping/manifolding is probly the most obvious benefit with an inline motor. makes overall packaging easier IMO
  2. check if the motors been rebuilt, otherwise you'll be rebuilding it lol
  3. blu-point(snap on) are nice
  4. that is j-style to a T. take note of the simple anti-bling rims with big dish and simple yet sexy black and white theme. also looks to have a race seat on the drivers side only, very jap thing o do, although they will usually have fixed back race seat for the driver, and a lower spec reclinable version from the same brand for the passenger
  5. yeh jap style tuning, that means no neons, no clear 'altezza' lights, no unnecessary bling bullsh*t, and no 'shopping list' down the side of the car unless you actually HAVE the parts
  6. why do some people think the 206kw thing was actually a law?
  7. depends on tyres, some cars will launch better on cold rubber. i dont see why your making all this effort to allow for crap tyres, when buying some decent ones will probly result in your best $ vs. gain on the track. why is everyone so dead set on getting big power when you cant even put it down properly? a set of stockies is like $50 for 2 R33 rims? i know decent tyres arent cheap but for what you can gain, why not? have a spare set of rims/tyres for the track? LTHLRB, damn good times for that power/tires. you've done well mate
  8. who tuned your car go to a new tuner get a better boost controller edit - tune first as there MAY be a link between the two issues
  9. what did you do to bend the gearbox crossmemeber?
  10. yeh the one im talking about was the grey R32, 13.72 was the time beer baron, dont think it was on slicks when it did it and had a strange miss-fire halfway through second. and i think slicks would make a differnce as to how quick you reach a certain speed, 0-300 is a timed event, slicks = less time wheel spinning, and more time on the power, means you get to that speed in less time. unless you want to get into maths/physics with rolling resistance at higher speed etc, i really cant see how it wouldnt make a difference i know you like your drag racing, go run on a set of $30 retreads vs some real good tyres. 0-300 is basically the same format as drag racing, just with a different goal
  11. thanks skybarge. 7 HID lenses is insane, would love to be in a car with that at night. things look insane!
  12. ummm didnt the veilside car do it on nittos?
  13. think you will need it retuned, because it will be sending different (lower?) voltage to the ECU causing it to (lean out/richen up?)
  14. if you drive too slow i think u can be charged/fined with obstructing traffic. slow drivers shit me, i dunno how in f*cks name you htink it can be safe to do 60km/h when entering a freeway i got stuck behind some tool doing 35 in a 50 zone (50 is slow e-f*cking-nough) two lane road, red light with a truck in the left lane, person infront of me goes into the right lane, as do i, then takes off as slow as the f*cking truck, must have been a good 400+ metere before the tool actually got passed the truck. im not saying everyone has to be a race-car driver, but god damn use your f*cking head *damn whered that angry emoticon go* lol
  15. looks at OZ racing rims, light weight race style for holdens. pretty sure its them that were used on the concept from holden, the 7 litre monaro. but yeh dunno how much they will cost though, being light weight racing style rims. there are heaps of different race series' around with holdens, sports saloons (VN's) and HQ race cars might have something your after?
  16. its 60 from memory, but even that is waaayyyyyyy conservative
  17. love the headlights. look like an LED set-up? or just lots of small HID lenses? and McIntosh head unit....... god damn that must cost alot! only the best being used there what is that worth in aussie pesos anyway? is 3,300,300 yen like the buy-now price, current bid or what?
  18. what sort of car to you drive? tell them to prove just how fast there cars are. either you will shut them up, or they will earn there right to give you sh*t
  19. i'd do that without the offer of driving the car afterwards
  20. dont know if it would be 'responsive'. sounds like its got a pretty big turbo and a close ratio box. interesting to see the use of a power FC in what looks to be a dedicated track car. alot of top end cars will use an ECU with datalogging
  21. i havent read every post in detail but scanned most of it, have you tried putting a spring on the wastegate actuator? my money would be on that at this point doubt it would be the dump pipe, it shouldnt be too big of a restriction just lookin at it from a design point of view, but beyond that i've only ever heard good things from CES
  22. OS RB30 kit is 86 by 86
  23. manual/auto? kms? location?
  24. rust shouldnt be too big of an issue, but mild is very heavy, i'd use aluminium as its nice and light, dunno how it compares in price to something like stainless though
  25. i think they said at the start the supra had real good tyres or something, it was in the comments on the youtube page, which would make sense, and seems quite fitting for the result. i am a supra fan personally, but i still found it a bit of a shock for it to beat the GTR so easily
