  1. things that imeadiately come to mind: -get a quality service manual to tell you clearences and torque specs on EVERYTHING, and in which order it goes together. -get a quality torque wrench, and measurment gear, and make sure you know how to use em properly, again the internet is helpful. - keep everything clean enough to eat off
  2. so your saying..... 4age>LS2?
  3. dont think injector timing is that critical, just look at the number of ECU's that run batch fire...
  4. IMO, biggest problem with the safc is people not understanding that it also has an effect on ignition timing. as long as you find someone who knows how to tune it you should be fine. that said, with the price of nistune computers these days, i wouldnt waste my money on an safc
  5. if you want to buy one already built, i think what ever motor has been swapped in there cant be part of your selectable criteria. unless there is a massive stockpile of 1600's with various engine conversions for sale that i dont know about?
  6. car is not allowed to be under 100mm unless it comes from the factory like that, thats how the exotics get away with it, they get adr approved while still being low i agree with tapering of fines off to reflect the price of the car. i got my $200 bluebird impounded and they wanted $500 to give it back to me i just told them to keep it but that wasnt an option either talk about hard done by lol
  7. theres something about seeing thick black marks coming up on some otherwise clean ground. that s13 sounds awesome banging the limiter as it sails off into the distance on gate too angry c*nt of a turtle but
  8. i remeber playing with an AVCR on my mates car, i'm pretty sure it had gain control... unless i'm missing something?
  9. the that helmet is probly harder than most surfaces you would hit anyway. cost i imagine would be prety scary
  10. oh haha, yeah im not that game, we've got a brobo and a big f*ck off bandsaw, not keen on hand holding pipe under either haha
  11. what did you use to hold the pipe while you cut it? i got this problem at work, the way the pipe needs to be clamped is beyond the capabilities of the machine. 4" grinder ftmfl
  12. ahh yeah, clearly im on this site to look at R31+ models lol. love the look of the kcg10, then, in my mind, theres a massive blank spot till the R31 came out haha
  13. ^ oi! e-peen battle here, stay out of it. post before was a typo, 'I' wasnt supposed to be there. u get what i mean..
  14. ok champ your car is the greatest thing i ever built, i know absolutely nothing automotive related, and i shall never return to SAU. diplomacy ftmfl
  15. yes the GTR may very well be lighter without half its drivetrain, but then you'd just be driving a more powerful gts-t, not your god-like gtr see, shit like that tells me your one of those people that thinks he's better than everyone else coz of the car you drive, so that instantly makes most of what your saying invalid. its an R32 dude, not 'the racing legend', get the f*ck over yourself btw the vl is long gone, and i doubt it had anywhere near 90rwkw. i'm actually driving a much slower, more girly car atm
  16. why is everyone so keen on these things lol how much is a rolling shell worth? i know where theres one sitting in a factory.... might actually be up for sale soon. body was all straightened up by a panel beater like 3 weeks ago edit - sorry the one im talking about is a 4 door datto, still says c210 on the tags tho???
  17. so a supra is a whale, but its comparable to an RX7??? and if you end up mounting a gutter its coz your a girly man who cant steer a well setup rwd car with some decent tyres can still launch just fine
  18. couldnt decide where to put this, but pretty sure i've seen similar stuff in here. before i get hung/drawn/quattered, i put this here instead of the vid thread coz its not just something to pass the time, but its a sweet bit of engineering/tech. link waitstobehungdrawnandquattered cheers, Ben
  19. 1jz>rb25, but in your case, go the 25, easier, cheaper etc. it sounds like he doesnt want to do the 1jz conversion, thats why hes trying to talk you into the 25, much easier for him.
  20. was it a dark blue stato with an advanced automotive workshop sticker on it? and the white non turbo xr6? were you in a black 33?
