  1. how low's the car? paint fracture looks like the bumper got squeezed when coming out of driveways the respray doesnt look like a good job either.. doesnt even look like its preped properly
  2. had the same problem, intercooler pipe hose joiner wasn't tightened properly at the IC exit it looked fine but opens up slightly when its pressurised (on boost) readjusted the angle and tightened the clamp, and the noise never came back again
  3. yup, big end bearing
  4. the NA autech is R32 sedan, comes in automatic only
  5. adjustable caster rod bushes and pineapples..
  6. i do think that they do add a bit of spice to the flat r33 gtst side profile.. without the GTR flared guards the R33 does look a little plain on the side
  7. i reckon it looks awesome.. who sells the 400R type flares? I'd be interested in them too
  8. SAU should have a "like" button
  9. all (3) the HKS silent hi power i've come across for R33 gtsts have no restrictor in it. but they're loud just look at the muffler and if you can see the perforated tube then it doesnt
  10. And yes anything, toe in or out, that is excessive will caus the car to be unstable I had some tyre place which dialed in 20mm toe in at the rear when I asked for 2mm The rear would hop over bumps and crab walk, it was a complete nightmare to drive
  11. You'll get toe out at the front and toe in at the rear when you raise the car Look at it this way Both front and rear are designed to toe in under hard braking to stabilise the car But because when you step on the brake hard, front dives, rear lifts So nissan had to design the Front and rear geometry to act completely opposite Yes toe in helps stabilizing it but not when it's too much
  12. ECU on auto skylines retard timing on upshift to protect the gearbox manual doesnt retarded timing on 0 load high rpm creates the bang so its just the ecu, nothing to stress about anyone who has a power fc in their manual, try changing the timing advance in first row to 0, it'll do the same too, refer to paulr33's PFC FAQ
  13. raising the car will make the rear toe in excessive toe in at the rear will make it very unstable exactly like you've described so like what others have said wait til you get an ALIGNMENT problem will most likely go away
  14. when i said i dont think they're meant to, i meant it in a way where superpro didnt purposely make them to.. if properly greased then they shouldnt, but they do due to reasons such as formula/shape whatever reasons mine has quietened down a lot thing with rubber is when they're worn they dont really make any noise, but when they're worn they cause play in the arms which causes knocks, sometimes it may make squeaks because of metal rubbing on metal
  15. Yes it does had that before and its quieter than regu06R the new N1+rev was the first exhaust which made me aware of the restrictor
  16. the restrictor might be what capped your max power..
  17. I don't think they are meant to.. My guess is that they're harder than most others out there so that's why they are more prone to making noises. They didnt at first for a couple of days and then they started getting noisy after that which lasted for 2 mths, then the noise went away
  18. the old N1 and the new N1+ are totally different things old N1 is loud, just has a hotdog and a cannon new N1 is quiet, quieter than the regu06R IMO, has a oval resonator and a restrictor in the cannon
  19. and i agree too compared 2 cars with same turbo, transferred the RSR cat back from my car to the other car and it was nice and quiet beats me
  20. I can confirm that they do too old Kaki N1 don't but they're loud new kaki N1 and regu06 do, which is what makes them quiet fujitsubo super Ti also does, friend had it on his r34 and it also has a 2.5 inch restrictor i had to settle for the regu06 because the car got unbearably loud with the GCG highflow when i had HKS silent hi power and boostn0199 was right, i had to pull a lot of timing on the mid to top end with the kaki to avoid pinging my guess with the kaki regu06, is that the older cars like r32 may not have a restrictor, because of japanese regulations allowing older cars to be louder than newer models so thats why a lot of r32 owners don't see a restrictor, but i may be wrong last time i looked at the blitz nur when i went to justjap, they also have the restrictor too, not sure if its 2.5 inch though 5 zigen also do, but its bigger than 2.5 inch and its loud cannons are just going to be loud without a restrictor full stop, its physics and there's no way you can go against it so if anyone wants the car to be quiet either live with a cannon with a restrictor, or get one with an oval muffler that said i've also tried an RSR which had 2 huge oval mufflers, but it was still loud with the turbo i've got
  21. only superpro makes the front inners they are a little noisy at first but noise disappeared after a month or so, did a search and found out this happens to most people it does seem like superpro bushes are a bit harder than others, so it will increase the harshness but it did improve the front turn in a lot
  22. the side profile is very GTR ish A pillar and roof, front fender vent.. then the rear quarter looks 370zish comes with a z emblem too!
  23. sounds awesome don't forget to come back and post a review of it
  24. yup it is you can definitely tell that they're harder than the kings, from more feedback from road surface, yet its not uncomfortable because when you go through really rough roads it doesn't vibrate as much, like its better controlled- not sure if it makes sense an example is say lady game drive, section closer to chatswood, with the kings I will drive through and it'll feel crushy and even get rattles from the dash; with the teins i can still feel how bad the road is, but i won't get rattles from dash, like I only feel what the road is like but not any extra vibrations- upside is i think a better controlled spring oscillation means better road contact, or road holding capability. conclusion is bilstein valving definitely suits harder springs more than soft springs, bilsteins on my car are only about 1 year old so far. without telling my mate that i've changed springs, my mate commented on the change in ride quality when he was sitting at the back seat. bear in mind my car has 27mm sway bar front and 24 rear with poly bushes on the front upper inner and caster rod, so the road surface feedback is really direct the bump stop does visit the shock body more frequently on the kings than the teins, doesnt happen often with the kings but has happened for eg. when i hit the shallow potholes at comenarra parkway. or the far left lane on pacific hwy in chatswood going towards the city direction just before mobil service stn. in fact they haven't had a chance to meet yet since i've got the tein mediums- i'd say its because the kings are lower and softer they are progressive springs, but the soft section is fully closed up with the car on the ground, which makes it a single rate spring- pic attached
  25. whiteline spring rates are about 3.xkgs front and rear, its just a tad firmer, like 20% over stock i think i had them in my old skyline with bilsteins and i thought it was a pretty good combo, new car has kings and bilstein, the kings were a lot lower and hits the bump stop more frequently. changed it to tein medium which is about 4.xkg front and rear and it was a lot better i can definitely feel that the tein mediums are harder than the whitelines again, being 4.xkgs, the bilsteins seems to like them more, it handled rough road surfaces a lot better than the softer springs. for softer springs, you will need to adjust the shocks to a firmer compression, softer rebound; and opposite for hard springs i also had konis in a toyota i had before and it just bottoms out so easily as well, the konis were quite new, so i just thought that the shocks were not suited to the springs
