  1. yeah don't use wd-40. it would be like tipping oil on it, which is generally what you are trying to clean off.
  2. a amte of mine looked at a 33 with one of these in it. didn't end up buying it though.
  3. something i did with mine was make it black in the top 2 bars then white along the bottom and sides, so at a distance it looked like a s2 grill. it looked pretty good, and better than spending stupid amounts trying to buy an s2 grill.
  4. i think the light switch is down below the latch on the pillar part. only down side to this is that they come on whenever you open the door. i have a blue neon as the interior light in the pulsar, but i also still have the standard light (helps when reading maps, looking for shit, etc) the interior light still works off the switch so i can have the door open and not have it on, but the neon is on whenever the door is open.
  5. my guess is low to mid teens. i doubt it will get much higher. to get into the top ten it is going to have to be about 2 seconds faster than it's main rival, the 911, which i think is a pretty big ask.
  6. depending on how thick it is you could always use tin snips. that sounds rather suss if you take it out of context......
  7. i think nissan use the same thread on most models. i know the 180sx/silvias have the same as skylines, and i know that pulsars have the same thread as them as the gear knob i had on my 180sx i got out of a n14 pulsar cause the one that was in the 180 was a crappy autobarn job.
  8. more than likely s1 and s2 turbos. the one on the left looks to be a s2, and the one on the right an s1.
  9. ummm, don't they tell you to turn the aircon off and not use it, so you don't drop water on the track????
  10. it is legal to carry concealed weapons in america. doesn't mean it is a good idea. just cause something is legal doesn't make it good.
  11. well both nissan and holden had GTR models come out in 1969 so it would be hard to say who came up with the name first. then it depends on if anyone used it before them.
  12. hi manda. welcome. we have a thread in wasteland where you can post pics of yourself
  13. finally found my timeslip
  14. i concur. you are indeed a f**knuckle

  15. i wondered how long it would take before new gtr stuff like this came up for sale
  16. no. for a car to be able to be registered it has to meet ADR standards. that includes from factory. but also motorbikes have different rules to cars, otherwise they would be in trouble for all sorts of things that apply to cars, like no number plate on the front, tyre size differences, etc. and buses and trucks are under different rules because they aren't considered light vehicles. and the fact that you need a different licence to drive them then it is fair to say that they shouldn't have to meet the same emission laws. if you did make them meet the emissions laws then there would be twice as many as there are now as they wouldn't have the power (well torque) to carry as much as they do.
  17. i'd say that we hear about all of them because they legally have to publish the recall notice in the paper.
  18. in the v8's it was that the lines didn't line up properly with the rail or something like that. and while holden has had quite a few nissan has had a few as well. do a search on silvia 200sx recalls. (not defending holden, just making a point to the green eyed import fan bois, LOL)
  19. $5 says the toy truck driver steals something (like a badge) off the car as a momento
  20. yes, holden have had another recall on the VE. this time it is to do with dodgy fuel lines causing engine bay fires. http://www.theage.com.au/news/national/hol...9554571414.html they had a similar problem with the v8 within 2 months of it being released.
  21. well i looked this up on the qld transport website and found NO evidence of the double demerit points being used in qld over public holidays. they use the system dangerous daveo said. also another thing people seem to do is not pay fines until they are due so that they can drive around for a while longer. however should that fine cause you to lose your last point and then you get caught speeding, etc in this time you can actually be fined for driving while unliscenced, as the points are back dated to the time of the offence, not when you pay the fine.
  22. even though you may not max out your stock injectors you would be close, so i would say do it, because a few hundred $$$ now is cheaper than a rebuild.
  23. *light bulb above head lights up* my sister-in-law is a dental assistant and they have bottles of NO2 about 1m high......... oh and as for CO2 purging, it would be ok to use to cool your intercooler. i have some of those CO2 cartridges at work (for pumping up bike tyres) and if you release the whole thing in 1 hit the nozzle is covered in ice by about half way through, and they go for a while (probably 20 seconds). the ones i have are 16 grams, and will pump a mountain bike tyre up to 40psi
  24. yeah as has been said putting a 351 into a xd is rather easy. if it was an xf then you would be in for a bit of a shit fight. i would also agree with going for the fuel injected v8 out of a later model. rather cheap to buy and much nicer motor, or a turbo motor from an xf or even a just 4.0L 6 out of a later model falcon. as for performance, it would go ok because even though they are a massive car they are rather light (somewhere round 1300kg, depending on options). so with a decent motor they can get up and boogey. but that said it won't corner like a skyline. it will still handle like a xd falcon.
  25. welcome dude
