  1. i saw somewhere on a science show that said if your remote battery was getting flat to rub it against your skin and hold it there and then press the button and it will use you as an antenna. or was it to get better reception with your phone.....?
  2. ummm, how can you loose boost pressue from a fmic? the wastegate is controlled by pressure so if you have less pressure the wastegate won't be open so the turbo will spool up more until it gets to that pressure. the only way to 'lose pressure' is if you have a very restrictive cooler and have the wastegate gets its pressure reading from before the cooler and have your gauge after the cooler. this will make it so the turbo is still running at normal pressure, but due to the restriction in the cooler the engine isn't getting as much air.
  3. stick it to the man!! LOL i get sick of all this crap about fuel savers. if there really was something that worked all the car manufacturers would use it and market their cars as being more enviromentally friendly. there is some crap on the market now that 'uses the power of water' to get much better fuel economy and it's testimonials have some people claiming up to double the economy or more. and the fuel tests that ACA did the other day with brands was just crap. they never use the same car with the same driver. while you might get all the same cars to carry the same weight, and have the same tyre pressures, 1 car might have a slightly sticky handbrake, or 1 driver may use 5% more throttle when accelerating. none are ever even. if they want to do it even they should use the 1 car, on a dyno so that they can rule out any change in conditions and have the driver floor it up to the set speed so that there is no difference in throttle % when accelerating. i mean ACA even proved that driving hard uses more fuel so how can they call their results accurate since they used different drivers?
  4. lambo countach (spelling) after seeing the movie cannonball run, and a shelby cobra after seeing bad boys, and an 'elanor' after seeing gone in 60 seconds.
  5. the easiest way to get into a 33 with the keys locked inside is to get your spare key.
  6. well i guess you can get them on LPG from factory so that is their answer for that for now. and they are making them run leaner to get better economy, which is also why the power is increasing. i think it will all depend on what happens with the price of fuel in the future, and with ethanol.
  7. well ford has it in the mondeo and focus, and holden has it in their smaller cars. give it a few years and they will get them.
  8. yeah i had a remapped ecu in my 33 for a while. it was good. no speed cut or rich and retard. it is amazing how much better they go on 14psi.
  9. yeah it is good to see ford stepping into the luxury performance market. holden had a supercharged v6 in their statesmant, so now ford has joined the forced induction luxury car market.
  10. this was run a few weeks back and they showed the crash on sports tonight that night. you obviously weren't paying attention to the fact that the GT-P spent about an hour in the pits after the front seal on the diff let go and dumped all the oil out.
  11. actually in one of motor magazines tests they got the gt to do a high 13.
  12. not any more. and if you have a rb25 forget about it.
  13. if it is turbo then the answer is automatically yes. and yes post your vin up in the fast thread
  14. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/wh...ml&hl=turbo
  15. i was thinking about buying a turbo stalet a while back. they do a low 15 second 1/4 stock, so a few mods like exhaust, cooler, and more boost and you should be into the low 14's pretty darn easy, and still have a car that you can park in the trolley bay at coles.
  16. since you are in brissy, if you are over mt gravatt or acacia ridge way, go and see the boys at flashing pedals. they are mates of mine (well the guys that own it are). i just rang and spoke to 1 of them, he wasn't in the shop at the time but he thinks they have 1 in stock of the more expensive ones. he wasn't sure on a price though. the more expensive one is better as it has the clips to hold your bike on with rather than having it loose and having to try and tie it to something.
  17. well in that case i won't help you out, LOL ok, i can get the racks that go onto your boot, as well as the ones that go on the tow bar. but a 26" should go easilly in the back seat with the front wheel off. i can get one in a pulsar. you just have the rear wheel on the seat and the forks sitting on the floor. the racks that i can get are http://www.bicorp.com.au/ProdView.aspx?Product=BCBF which is about $80-$90 depending on the shop and how much they want to rip you off and http://www.bicorp.com.au/ProdView.aspx?Product=YT8048 which is around $110+ (again depends on the shop). i can get 1 other one but i don't have a price or picture. it is similar to the second one.
  18. a lot of places won't give out the AFR's from on a dyno day for the simple reason that they will want you to come in and get them to tune it. if they give you the AFR's then you can go and make some alterations yourself, or take it to your local place to get it done. but if they don't give them out they have more chance of getting you back again to get the car tuned, so they get more money. they are a busniess after all.
  19. welcome to the forum. here is a little bit of info about australia to keep you safe when you come to visit.
  20. wrx's run a mitsu bov too. just slightly different base to the skyline though.

    I'm In Denial!

yeah the ford inline 6 is on the way out, but that may also be due to the fact that they may change to fwd, and you need a hell of a wide car to put a inline 6 into a fwd car, lol.
  22. yeah oil cooler on the left. only thing i find interesting, is that you'd think that having the intercoolers like that would slow the intake air speed down a bit compared to a fmic type cooler, as the air travels into the cooler then has to do 2 90 degree turns before it exits.
  23. you also have to remember that the gt3 is a non turbo rwd. so the fact that it beats it's 4wd, turbo sister is pretty good.
  24. welcome.
