  1. get someone to order you in one. i doubt many shops will keep it in stock.
  2. i never said he was over taking. i said there was a difference to saying someone had spedn when over taking, then just going 200kmh cause they are a f**kwit and like putting people lives at risk for no reason other than the fact they have no brain and no the gtr isn't a race car. it is registerable, therefore not a race car.
  3. i know i'm not jealous of him. i don't want to own a skyline any more, especially a gtr, cause there are too many pretty boy, ricer boy, wannabe racers whose daddy bought their cars that go round thinking they are the worlds best driver. the whole image of skyline owners is just crap now. and i mean no disrespect to the sensible gtr owners out there.
  4. *cough* dickhead *cough* wow 200kmh in only 300m, so that would make it a 10 second car. and there is a difference between doing 130kmh to overtake a car and doing 200kmh cause you are a stupid brainless f**k. and skylines aren't race cars. they don't have a rollcage, they have passenger seats, they are street legal, etc. i think his daddy should take the keys off him and give him a good spanking...... although that is probably what he did to get the car in the first place
  5. some do, lol. it really comes down to the brand of extractors. i put some on my last magna and they didn't really do a thing. i put some on my SSS pulsar and it made a huge difference.
  6. meguires scratch-x works really well. i have done a few skylines with it. i just put some on a woolen puffing pad hooked up to the drill and it takes about 20 seconds a side.
  7. oooo, a ca version of the 32. that would be super slow.
  8. yeah it would be a mix of things that determine what it does. in higher gears it can generally build more boost as there is more load, but in low gears the boost can spike so much quicker that it goes higher before the controller knows what's going on.
  9. the point paul is making is that the piping after the turbo is only 2.5" so having the afm before the turbo isn't really going to add that much restriction. and unless your compressor wheel is actually 4" then there is no real gains had by having a 4" pipe. and i don't know of any pod filters with a 4" outlet, so wouldn't you just have to have it reduce back to 3" anyway, which is the same size as the afm. also if you were to run this setup with a bov you would have massive stalling issues, whether it is atmo or plumback. with a plumback and the afm in the stock location it doesn't really register any air moving through it when you lift off. with it in the cooler piping when you lift off and the bov opens it would be registering all the air in the cooler piping that is going past it out the bov and dump a heap of fuel in. so you would need the afm right near the throttle body, and have the bov closer to the intercooler than the afm.
  10. no, my sister is just 1 of those car broad minded persons and i always make fun of how ditsy she is.
  11. it has a gtr wing on it, gtr badge in the grill, and a badge on the back that looks like a gtr badge until you get up close and it says gts-r (the r is underneath like a gtr badge) and i saw it driving the other day. it came flying up the road and i blinked, and when i opened my eyes again it hadn't moved very far from where it was when i shut my eyes. it was going so....... normal speed
  12. in qld: The rim diameter may be varied from the standard size but the overall diameter of the tyre must not vary by more than +15mm or -26mm. and for width: The maximum tyre width for a car or car derivative must not be more than 1.3 times the vehicle manufacturer’s widest optional tyre. However, for an off-road passenger vehicle fitted with front and rear beam axles, the maximum tyre width must not be more than 1.5 times the vehicle manufacturer’s widest optional tyre. The nominal width of the narrowest tyre fitted to a vehicle must not be less than 70 per cent of the nominal width of the largest tyre fitted and never less than the vehicle manufacturer’s narrowest optional tyre as indicated on the manufacturer’s tyre placard.
  13. i'm pretty sure even bolt on spacers are illegal in qld. another reason why they are illegal is that they alter your track. you are not allowed to increase your track by more than 26mm, and not allowed to reduce it at all.
  14. couldn't you just turn it upside down so the the filter screws up from underneath. i'd say that would cause less mess then removing the filter than having the filter screw up from the top. even if you have to mount it down off a chassis rail so you can get to it easily from under the car while you are taking the sump plug out.
  15. yeah they have been the new commodore for a while now. all the new skylines i see in town are driven by bogans. makes me glad i got rid of mine.
  16. that isn't quite right. the ecu also works off tps so it will know when the throttle is being opened and will put in some enrichment to compensate. also you have the fact that the afm will cop a heap of oil if your turbo seal blows or you have blow by issues and would need to be cleaned every few days.
  17. and then, like, they will talk to you, like, and be all, like, hehehe i'm a stupid dumb 13 year old s**t, like, totally.
  18. the harness is a plug and play but since it is a gtr harness a very slight modification needs to be made. it takes all of about 1 minute and is extremely easy. as far as extras, you could get the map sensor and harness so that you can remove the afm.
  19. what you will have to take into account is that with spacers you will also have more chance of the tyre scrubbing the inner guard at the front and the back.
  20. yeah there was a NA sohc rb20 in the r33. there is one in town, and it has an auto in it. i bet it is awe-inspiring to drive...........
  21. super mario world on the snes. i love it. sure it doesn't have 3d graphics but they sometimes give me a headache after a while. it is just a good, fun, straight foward game
  22. yeah holden is 5 x 120, nissan is 5 x 114.3, which is the same as ford, mitsubishi and a few others.
  23. as far as installation is concerned it is easy. you can install it yourself then drive somewhere to get it tuned.
  24. for anyone that doesn't like fwd and hasn't actually driven one hard, i suggest you do so. my sister in law was dead against a fwd even though she had never driven on because all of her commodore friends (who also had never driven one) said they were crap and torque steered, etc. i let her take my magna for a drive and she liked it. the missus has a SSS pulsar and it handles nearly as well as my 33 did. it lacks a bit of stability at high speeds through corners due to it being shorter than a skyline and no wait in the rear, and skinnier tyres. as far as steering response goes it is identical to the skyline. yes it torque steers like a pig but that is due to worn bushes in the steering rack. if i had the money i would definately be looking at one over a skyline as a daily driver.
  25. go a magna, quicker than both the skyline and the rx, nice and roomy, look good with a set of wheels and lowered a bit, and plenty of room. doesn't have the handling of the skyline though.
