I've got an EVC 4 going in mine as you've probably already seen. On the advice of Ben & ICE, it seems alot of people are going the HKS way now. Hopefully my car should be ready today... it's been there since MAS Either way, I have faith in the boys there, so far they have been very striaght, upfront & genuinely honest about my concerns. PS: Hope you haven't pinched my no plates... I'll probably head down there tonight, as i'm starting to have withdrawal symptoms.

They both use the same stepper motor, and I'm sure have the same functions. I think he was selling these for $250 for the EVC3, and $250 for the EVC4... WOW they were cheap. Good Luck

If you own a property that has some equity you can redraw the difference at a much lower rate than any lease, personal loan etc.. Unfortunately unless you have the cash laying around, imports can generally be a little more hassle.

Brad was the biggest sook ever! complaining why peter car went quicker than his, so they decide to swap peter motor into brads and put the spare into peter's.... "Brad was still slower". Some of the best days.. geeez I feel old now .

Blitz, you may not be aware how rare & expensive a genuine series 3 lip is. As I understood it, Sherrid was testing the waters to deterim interest re fibreglass lips. If there was enough interest then he would try to source a lip from elsewhere to use temporarily as a mould.

Wait..... How about if I agreed to buy the an original series 3 lip. Let me know, as I think this lip business is getting beyond a joke now, no one wants to get off there a$$ and do something about it. BJ get in contact with me if you're still interested in going ahead with this.

this is becoming an interesting thread... Not the real techy type, but as advised I went with the iridums after some thread searching & tuners advice. So based on Zahos general view for street, coppers are the way to go??? :confused: I also thought iridiums run colder~ and that was also a benefit??? Amaru could your misfire issue be related to say bad tuning, coil packs, etc etc... and that's why your spark cacked it? I had a misfire issue and that's when we changed the plugs, but they it turned out the misfire was due to bad tuning by my previous tuner.. ICE fixed the problems and all's sweet now.

ferni, Why are you opting for coppers?? you'll be changing them every 10K~ and they provide an inferior spark to iridiums [spelling]... Go to the ngk website they have a selector there. I recently changed mine, just can't remember the code, maybe give the boys at ICE a call, they cost me around $20each. Personally I wouldn't be putting coppers in a GTR, or even a skyline for that matter.

I see that bike all the time.. from memory along queens road, & nepean hwy. Well, my car's not stock and pushing 270rwkw, I ran an R1, beat him off the line by a car length & we were neck and neck up to 120~ then I hit the brakes, coz he would have left me like a salami sandwhich. The thing I've learnt, unless you got real top end don't bother pushing past 100~, Bike's lack the traction off the line, so you always beat em on that, hitting the brakes when you hit 100, just add's salt to their wounds.

Thanks for the replies, I am seriously condiering the BF Goodrich g-force in the 255 40 17, for a couple of reasons. They recently out performed the Michellin Pilots in the wet, BFGoodrich is being pushed very hard by it's parent company Michelin in Australia. They come out of the same factory using the same technology as the Michellin's and are about $150~ cheaper than the Pilots. Without haggling these are about $350each. Previously owning a set of Michelin Pilot on my WRX, which I found to be the best tyre I have ever used BAR NONE FULL STOP, even better than the Conti's on the Benz, if these BF's are as good and claimed to be better, then I think value wise they may be my best option... I'd appreciate any input on the matter.

Can anyone recommend some decent tyres for an R33 GTR? They wont be used for track, just daily street driving. I was looking at the BF Goodrich range & maybe a very small maybe, some Falken GRB's, the size I'm after is either a 255 or 265 /40/17.

Thinking about it now, a little suck up "resch_pect" to the cops, and thinking about jame's idea, I guess it would definately attract a croud and alot of attention, if we had my white GTR & Andrews Blue LolliCop, decalled up. The only issue's I can see is, would we go to the extent of putting the red & blue light's on?? Perhaps we could arrange something with vic police about the idea in promoting the concept??

Shan, Thinking about your cop car idea last night, I thought it you meant creating a "victorian police skyline replica cop car"?? As I think this would be a great idea & an opportunity for some great publicity for the club if we created a skyline victorian cop car. What do you think?

I spoke to a mate this morning that has a stand regularly at the autosalon's (and at the recent MAS) about banners and car decals, he said they would be happy to do a semi sponsor deal, with the banners, signage etc... As an indication his standard pricing excluding any sponsorship deal for full colour banner signs is $120 per quare metre. EG: if the sign is 75cm x 150cm you'd work it out like this 7.5 x 15 x 1.2(being the square metre rate) = $135.00 Their machine can print & cut any shape we want. The only thing we need to do to the banners is arrange eyelids as they dont do them. They mainly specialise in car decals... and I spoke to him about turning Snowman's car into a lolliCop mobile for the next MAS, which he said no probs and would love to do a semi sponsor deal with us.

Firstly, It was nice to meet most of you last night, and put some faces to some internet warriors ... A very welcomming bunch, in particular nice to meet Snowman, Jamezilla, and Skylinegeoff (damn you are a very smart cookie) and not forgetting the rest of you all. I also think that's a great idea, I'm assuming these are the shirts from last night?? I would say a small pic of the car with the front of the shirt that says skylinesaustralia & autosalon, signed in a white texta. If you guys need it framed I have a mate that frames memorabillia that could do it for next to nothing.

...for next time: SAU Member says: Officer I was alone on my way home in [keyword] dandenong, when a group of guys jumped out with swords, baseball bats etc.., they started charging towards me yelling get out the f&*king car before we [keyword] KILL you. I obviously sh!t myself & hit the gas to get away, and that's when they jumped infront of the car & I ran them over. I'm no legal advisor, but I know of a similar incident that happened in the city, and there were no problems convincing the cops. I guess it comes down to numbers, reasonable force & some logic.
