Are you guys running stock ECU's? ... I'm no expert but I'm thinking a couple of things, from experience with my new set-up on the GTR which could be: - lazy injectors - sounds like a fuel source issue, maybe pump, fuel pressure - what size "cc" is your battery the bigger the better. - if you've got aftermarket ECU a tune should fix that.

Thanks jeremy.. I read through it and still not convinced. Noone gave a definate reason as to why?? There were too many variables left unopen, and for me anyway, and as you would know, alot peer group posting without really facts as to why? The only conclusion I could figure, was Oil starvation, and perhaps boost above 1.5-6 bar?? But stil no hard facts, sure 2-3guys blew there's up, but I'm sure my tuners could blow my HKS 2530's in a day if they wanted to.. Dunno, me personally I'm still inclined to take the advice of ICE & Ben's.

summoner & jezzzr, that's the first time I've heard such claims about the trust kits. At the same time, I'm taking it with a grain of salt, mainly because one of AU's most respected gtr builders Ben from racepace recommended these and infact built Ph1's GTR also with the Trust turbo's. Ph1 is pushing around 350rwk with these turbo's, and I am yet to hear he has any problems, perhaps he can confirm. Finally, don't get me wrong, but the pommies aren't exactly as upto date with GTR as AU are they??, and their not the most talented when it comes to engineering, tuning either...

1. When is UAS going to do a Group buy on GTR Series 3 Lips??? Please! Just have a look at the interest we had when The Sherrid was doing one until he pulled out . 2. Do these fit the R33 GTR?

Hey Jack... either way you gotta be happy . The boys were always pretty confident about your car making the power..no probs. I think it was only a concern about lag?? But by what you say @4800~rpm, that sounds about the same as mine. I tried to do an overlay of your dyno that you emailed me against mine, but the Kmh per hours are set differently, and I think you'll find that yours is not that laggy after all, in comparison my 2530's set up. Hopefully my friggin clutch arrives next week. once it does, we'll organise a day with the boys on the dyno. Tribex.. I think Jack does have cam gear?? he can confirm, also jack did you end up putting some lightened pulleys? If so do you notice any difference? Well done.

From experience after spending an easy 6months trying to find the right GTR, that seems to be the norm and quite common. There's Plenty of Dodgy GTR's and even more dodgy sellers. Get use to it I say... and if in doubt, get the dealer to put it in writing on the contract of sale.

My first car was going to be a 928 when I got my license "~oooh I feel old now" 12years ago. Decided against it a bought a property instead. But I remembered something about the manuals being cops, and stick with the auto's??... Anyhow I think there a nice car, but the 928S4 GTS is heaven with a porsche badge.

Great Idea, but I think the first rule should be who's allowed to race & who's not. I say, the following people should be on the Banned from racing list. a) Kev - Anyone that's seen him handle a car will understand, how he'll make a mockery out of ALL of us. B) Ben - Coz, he just wins everything anyway, and he has laaaaaunch control

They're covering it under warranty as they were supposed to have fixed that problem. So no real skin off my nose. But I agree with you, that's why I'm planning to beef up the old box but not sure which way to go.

Thanks Judd & Leewah, if that's correct...Where can I get me one of those? At the moment the car is only making 320kw and I had an already slight fautly synchro go on me within the first 3days after my mods. So I've got a new box going in this week with the clutch, but was thinking about rebuilding my old box just incase... but not sure whether straight cut, OS sets.. etc etc

I thought, by having a stonger clutch to handle the power, adds load to the next part being the gearbox, then if you have a gearbox that can handle the required load, this puts pressure on the next part... etc etc I'm about to install my clutch/flywheel ORC Ogura Twin Plate on the GTR, and was warned that it could be detrimental to the life of the gearbox?? I planned getting a triple but again was told my gearbox would go...PS: I'm only making around 320kw @rw.

I've heard the same as meggala, very expensive to repair & I think if the turbo's go they have to rip out the motor... could be wrong~ Anyhow driving wise, I've driven one with a few mods, I think it had around 220Kw at the wheels, and they do feel very very heavy, and very cramped "but that's problably coz I like my pasta & I'm 6ft~", and not something I personally could drive everyday. But I think when done up nice & simple, and not toooo ricey they look awesome, much nicer the a line.

Thank's for all your input guys, and also to you Enrico Iglesios for your report, but I have a Q. As tempted as I am to put in my GTR, I am a little concerned about any after effects later down the track. I remember hearing stories about oil additives that break up and leave deposits in the motor later down the track. I'm mean even simple additives like Octone booster have there after effects aswell... and then their was that big kefuffle about the Wynn's products etc etc.. I know I sound negative, but my intention is not flame the product, like I said I do want use, but have my doubts, that's all.

I dont think I have enough time to tell all my stories, but one time, I had something similar, about 10years ago. 3guys followed me for about 20min, because I overtook them on the freeway for sitting in the right lane. Being bymyself, I was alittle worried and thought enough is enough, so I went through a red, when they followed the red light, I booted it to pull away, and turned into a street carlton, where I block the roadwith my car. Got out with a handy toy in my hand waiting for them to turn in, when they did & realised the consequences the look on their faces was Priceless... and so was seeing them smoke em up in reverse for 20metres~

Makes sense, but if I am running nitrogen in my tyres, as far as I'm aware they keep the tyres cool, so I'm assuming that nitrogen is a no no if you want to run a qtr as they won't warm up the tyres??? It's a GTR I'm talking about.
