ouch sory to hear, I agree with the comments it depends on the officer, in general not being a tool goes a long way I got pulled over by the taipan guys when I had my old R34, silver metal pod enclosure with window and he said he wouldn't ping me for it had a ssqv but it as plumbed back so no hassles and ic and piping painted black so it looked stock and wasn't picked up, stealth pays off
  2. It certainly wasn't love at first sight for me I was never a car person, cars flew completely under my radar until FnF came out at the movies, although I now look back in shame, to a hormone fuelled punk teenager like myself at the time this movie was a wet dream and it triggered my interest in imports I wanted a supra (back in the day p platers had no restrictions), but they were too expensive for me at the time so an unassuming silver R33 caught my eye at the car lot and the rest is history I've now had 3 skylines and a 350z I'm having my mid life crisis now so I don't have to look like a tool having a mid life crisis later on
  3. yeah even 3 point immobiliser and custom kill switch won't stop a flatbed depends just how much the pricks are willing to go through to take your car the way I see it if they wanna take it I'm gonna make damn sure they're going to work for it first
  4. don't blame you man, like I said before your v35 changed my opinion on owning a black car as for shipping Siu Loong Bao I'm guessing you had all your stuff arrive at once? I only had to pay for the shipping and swaybars to the vendor and arrived via fedex 3 months later so the value of goods would've been well under $500 anyway
  5. ahh n/a tuning, how I miss having a turbo at least VQs make respectable power from straight out of the box so it's not all bad
  6. ^ a lil biased though aren't we ogz? just a few more weeks until this bad boy arrives in the mail
  7. heh commodores were IN at some point? I'm gonna go crawl back under my rock now
  8. my heart sank when I saw pics of your car it beside the rear wing/bar and wheels it's a splitting image of my old R34 all the best in getting it back
  9. cheers, the springs are eibach pro I may still paint the wheels black, they are stained from when the dealer washed the rims after using tyre shine so there's black streaks stained into the rims that I can't wash out I'll either paint them black or shadow chrome
  10. wsp = wholesale suspension penrith, coreen ave 4721 2112
  11. Yep pat helped me out I was impressed with wholesale suspension's setup, I used to drive past that place everyday to get to work but never been until now I've toyed with the idea of spacers but I'm suss on using them even the hubcentric ones that also use their own bolts, but that's just me I guess... aren't they a defect? don't really want to buy aftermarket rims, doesn't suit what I want from the car cheers
  12. and make the engine bay nicer to look at
  13. yeah adjustable camber kits are available for those who are absolutely anal about tyre wear, but the shop that did my springs were able to get camber back in line at the front and about -1.4 neg. camber at the back = happy sideways times hehe, who said that? :) cheers buddy the springs were a good choice, I tried driving around a shopping centre with notoriously high speed humps and I only scraped on one, and even then it was only the black plastic lip/splashguard under the car, this may change once the springs settle though so I'm hoping they don't drop too much more
  14. In for now, starting a new job next month which involves some weekend work so I'll know fer sure the closer it gets to the cruise sounds like a good day out
  15. congrats mate, be definitely worth the wait Be good to have another V36 on here I'm getting lonely lol only criticisms are the soft suspension, but there's ways to remedy that
  16. will update once my fujitsubo exhaust lands at the end of the month exciting times
  17. hey, I was going to depending how the springs went and alignment after installing everything, thankfully they were able to get everything into spec without needing a camber kit Hey mate I had to source them from the US, set me back $320 for the pair and shipping was almost as much as the bars themselves but money worth spending considering the end results transformed the car completely for the better don't have a clue to be honest, they say it stiffens up the rear by 30-60% depending on the setting you choose I know aye, wish they arrived sooner lol Okay springs done today, decided to get them done by professionals, don't have the skills or the tools to tackle a spring install big thanks to Wholesale suspension in Penrith for the install and Pat for fishing my stock springs back for me after I left springs need some more time to settle so they're still due to dip a bit more before after before after
  18. Yo Did my swaybars today, can I just say what a MAJOR difference the car feels to drive now, feels just like my old 350z now to drive handling wise which is a good thing I've never had the pleasure of driving one, but if the V35's are anything like the 36 then they must suffer a bad case of understeer? If you've been thinking about them but holding off I definitely think they're a worthwhile upgrade corners that I used to have to fight the steering wheel (under under!) to get around are now taken with ease, the car feels precise and stable, where I used to make minor steering corrections mid corner/roundabout and the wavy boat feeling has disappeared. I have noticed the car feels harsher when entering/exiting driveways and speedhumps but I'm not complaining I wish these had arrived in time for the texikhana that just passed, no joke I would've done a whole lot better than I did on the day just thought I'd share some pics, eibach lowering springs go in tomorrow! fresh of the boat plastic undertray had to be taken out is there anything WD40 CAN'T do? the difference between understeer and fun this little bastard cost me nearly an hour time to hit it from the back had to unbolt the exhaust to get the bar out side by side tighten everything back up an voila more pics to come after the springs are in
  19. yo ogz when I get all my bolt ons delivered(finally) and have them on my pig I'm definitely interested getting your mate to do a photoshoot installing my swaybars today, getting my springs tomorrow, just waiting on my exhaust
