  1. "what wrong with 235/45R17's on a 17x9?" I guess nothing but for the fact that 235/45 are designed to go on 8's but you choose to stretch them over 9's exposing the tire walls & wheels to anything that comes along! And the correct size for your 9's is 255/40 As you say ................. what wrong? For me .......................... everything is wrong!!!
  2. And might look better if the tires actually fitted the rims?????????
  3. Bit poxy looking with the R30 rear spoiler. IMHO
  4. A $40 helmet usually suggests you have a $40.00 head. You pay for what you get in helmets and a good one doesn't leave much change out of $1200.00. Cheers, D
  5. Yeah! That's right as the manual suggests. Just need to confirm what it is. C'mon guys, some of the R31 owners should be all over this? Cheers, D
  6. In that case it's probably a local R31 with a live axle. I guess the bearing your talking about is out on the end near the wheel eh! If this is the case, the bearing you're talking about is just behind the axle mount flange. Correct????? Cheers, D
  7. KB, Is it an Oz delivered 4 door R31 with a live axle or imported with IRS? Cheers, D
  8. http://carsguide.news.com.au/search/specs-...90+++4294964526 Manual 13/100 City & 8.5/100 Highway Auto 13.5/100 City & 8.5/100 Highway Makes my Toyotus GT400 pretty impressive eh? Cheers, D
  9. That's about average for your RB30ET. The Carsguide rates an L24E at about 10L/100 Your 46/350 is a bit ordinary, but 53/500 is about 10.6L/100 I'll stick with my 1UZFE MX83 for the moment, that has done 3920k on 375L fuel when I went to Melbourne in January 2008. This equates to 9.6L/100 from my n/a 4.0L V8. Cheers, D
  10. I think you will find SAAS, MOMO & Autotechnica bosses will do the job & I'm fairly sure the same boss does C210 ~ RMR30, but your going to have to check with your parts supplier. I know I had to take my steering shaft to Roman Autotek at Rhodes to confirm what model MOMO Boss I needed for my KHR30. Cheers, D
  11. I'm buggered if I know, but what's he doin fillin in his woman at 17 in the first place. On another thread I had a go at him coz he came on with all these ideals of grandure and did SFA! Now he's ripping everyone off for the parts. Might be worth a joint effort to go pay him a visit. Cheers, D
  12. Geeeeeeeeezz! @ 350 clams, does that mean I have about 1500 clams worth of hotplates??? You do know they can be bought for about $150/pair if you look hard enough. Cheers, D
  13. You paid $500 for hot plate tail lights ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Cheers, D
  14. John, I have an AUTO dizzy leaving Brisvegas to me today. It doesn't have a rotor button & could have a suspect vacuum advance diaphram, but it's FREE other than postage from me to you. Best I can do on short notice. Another place you can look is a couple of Pick A Parts in Canterbury Rd Montrose. Cheers, Dennis
  15. I have a manual dizzy, but that's no good to you. I'll call Queensland tomorrow and see if he has one up there still. Cheers, D
  16. Oh! And the front lip is about $800.00 landed. Waste of money for just a look in my opinion. I have a sample of the Jenesis Latter Stage front bar & a few years back about 10 people put their hand up for a new one from a mould I produced, but when orders were called for with 50% deposit, there was not a murmur, the silence from this forum was deafening, so I smashed the mould. Cheers, D
  17. Well said guys. My only addition would be the rear spoiler. Over $600.00 landed ex Japan and mine is the only 1 in Oz as best I know. The Jap car is a bit of a bodge, coz it has a S1 front & S2 rear and I have NEVER seen the flares in Oz. My best thought is they are 240Z grafted on because our rear wheel arch is not round like these flares are, similar to a 240Z rear wheel arch. Cheers, D
  18. I would assume any L24E Auto dizzy would work, I know it's the case in reverse. 66yostagea had a similar problem & I gave him a auto dizzy and he couldn't get it to work, but when replaced with an manual, his problems sorta just went away. Cheers, D
  19. Chris, That GTS1 in Trading Post really looks the goods. My problem with 4 doors is the B pillar as I'm about 6'4 and just don't fit in them, so I have a KHR30. If you want the good guts on anything GTS 1 or 2, PM CAZZ, she is the ants pants on them and wont lead you astray. Cheers, D
  20. There was a guy in Adelaide selling a new guard for $60 on ebay, but I don't have his contact anymore. Musta deleted it n it was only closing last week. Cheers, D
  21. "For 10 kay you will get a bloody nice coupe though, and there is kudos in the two door, even now." Good call CAZZ, I think I saw an HR31 on carsales for about that money and it has a silver top in it, which is a big improve over the red top RB20DET. If you do a search on www.carsales.com.au Nissan Skyline GTS-X you will find it in ACT for 8.5K and more than half of his work is already done. It's dark grey/Gunmetal colour and has lots of mods already. Better value than a poxed up R31 4 door in my opinion. Cheers, D
  22. I have no ref to a D6K8 distributor. Manual or Auto? Cheers, D
  23. Tell me Mitch, Why would a somewhat intelligent human being want to bastardize a limited edition car? A GTSII Skyline was 1 of just 200 built by Fred Gibson Motorsport and today is a sort after collectable that puts out something in the vicinity of 140kW n/a vs an R31 converted RB25DET with 186kW for same money. Why would you bother???????? I bought an RB30E from a guy in Narellan that took it out of a GTS1 because he was putting in an RB20DET. I sold the head & go fast bits for more than I paid for the complete engine and the value of his GTS1 plummeted towards the sewer. I'm not suggesting he modifies the GTSII, I'm suggesting he buys it in lieu and keeps it stock. I'm sure if you spoke to CAZZ she might feel the same way. Cheers, D
  24. I know it's his call, but his converted R31 Silhouette in 10 years will be worth shit when the GTSII will be worth another 5 or 10K on current investment. I'll stick to my poor R30 & keep watch on him in my rear view mirror. lol Cheers, D
