  1. In October 06 I did a 1UZ conversion to an MX83 Cressida. I owned the car & wasn't buying it to convert. The front cut cost me $2500 + frt from Adelaide, but by the time I had it wired, changed the suspension and brakes to comply for engineering, paid the engineer, the whole thing owes me more than 10K, so don't kid yourself, any conversion is the cheap way out. If this conversion goes ahead, he won't get much change from 15K if it's done right. A good Silhouette is going to cost more than 2 or 3K and an R33 GTS25t manual front cut will cost more like 5K rather than 2 or 3. Let's see, we have the car & front cut and spent 10K, we haven't fitted anything, not wired anything, we got SFA except some parts and a good Silhouette and your saying a good limited edition GTSII isn't value? You have to be dreaming! Cheers, D
  2. Actually there is 2 up for grabs. 1 for 13200 & other for 15000. Cheers, D
  3. Sorry, it didn't load like I expected it to. If you search Carsales.com.au your going to find a red GTSII which is for my money, a far better idea than bastardising another Ti/Silhouette & for similar end money. Cheers, D
  4. Instead of building a bastard, why not have something that will hold some value. Try this on for size: http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...&__Qpb=true Cheers, D
  5. Use a stock MR30 Oz delivered guard. Only difference is the holes for mounting the body kit and front spoiler. If you have the old, make templates for positioning the holes, which is what I did with the PNV. Ridgy didge will cost you a bomb out of Japan. Cheers, D
  6. Also if Ghostrider is around I'd like to know what the turbo L28 ones were , possibly around 280cc/min . L28ET are 265cc Low Impedence, just for you sir, Mr Disco. Sorry! but can't help with the FJ turbo injector flow figures. Cheers, D
  7. When you get your copies, grab a pair of verniers and you will find EVERYTHING is identical to what Nissan want a bomb for. Cheers, D
  8. "Don't know if I'd want to compete on Taiwanese copies" I have 2 sets of these. They measure exactly with the genuine article, thickness of material and all. The genuine articles; Nissan part RH 54499-01L00 & LH 54500-01L00 are still available at about $450.00ea, but possibly ex Japan. You don't like Taiwanese items, try the brand new items from Rare Spares, all made in Taiwan and there is no after market replacement for the lower ball joint. Your call, but you did ask for our advise. Maybe next time we should just tell you to F@#k OFF! You be happier then????????
  9. It's not ALL imported Nissan's, just R35 GTR's that I'm to understand. Similar to HSV and the Walkingstick VL, you had to quote the VIN to be able to purchase parts. Nissan with R35 parts are doing the same. Macarthur Nissan help me with imported parts for my KHR30 PNV lots. As Duncan said, they haven't learnt much in 15 odd years. Some might understand how Toyota did the same with Celsior's vs LS400 Lexus & Soarer's vs SC400 Lexus. Cheers, D
  10. Nice to see someone in Macarthur is spending up big on the latest, but I think I'll stick to my lowly KHR30 Paul Newman Version.
  11. Macarthur Nissan took delivery of a couple last week!
  12. Hot word from my local Nissan dealer is that ANY R35 grey import will not be supported in ANY way by the Aussie Nissan Network. No parts or service in any way. Cheers, D
  13. Go check out a parts supplier. You can get a Taiwanese copy of the lower control arm for about $70.00 and it's complete with lower balljoint & inner bush. Cheers, D
  14. Cazz, What is the minimum length & stroke of the rears? Cheers, D
  15. "Also look at the Seller FeedBack 100%" That's bullsh!t, because a 100% perfect feedback can be BOUGHT using ebay's "sqare trade" system. If you don't like a feedback you can pay square trade and have it removed. Cheers, D
  16. Hi Guys, It was I that asked MAG86 to post this, as I was asked by a few people that were thinking of purchasing these shocks. I have spoken to Heasman's in Sydney and they tell me they could be the real deal, but are certainly outside of factory spec and the guy wont disclose what the spec is. For my money, if your not looking at coilovers, I would be looking at Koni regardless of the money. I stick by the old rule, "IF it sounds too cheap, it usually is" Don't be caught short looking for a deal. Be very sure what your buying before out laying the hard earned cash. Cheers, D
  17. "it just like to say that that engine is THE shit." Which engine is SH!T???????
  18. Mag86 I hear what your saying , but to get 300rwkw you'd be talking 3.1 stroker using the LD28 crank probably and they alone are fairly big bucks along with all the other performance parts for L series.I should have got in at the right time and bought up big from the states..I've thought about turbo L28 but again lots of changes to my motor ie: lowering compression, maybe change heads. I've seen some get up and go ones on YOU TUBE. What i do like about the RB 25 changeover is the power and driveability. I could drive this to work on a daily basis, meaning one less car to pay out for yearly. Bottom line is if I don't get an offer of at least $3000 I won't sell it. Instead I'll spend money and get the much needed LSD. I forgot to mention the motor will come with 2 x5 speed boxes. The one in the car and a spare. Why are you guys all DREAMING????? HP isn't the answer totally on it's own you know. How would you like 380ft/lb of torque @ 4500 on less than 8.5psi of boost????????? Cheers, D
  19. What's a radiator housing????? Do you mean the alloy bit, that's the thermostat housing on the block or is it something else??????? Cheers, D
  20. What size wheels were these designed to work with?
  21. BensDR30 says "Dennis, if you were doing 6750rpm (as indicated on a 1973-accuracy tacho!) in a stock 610 SSS in 4th, then it must have been downhill tongue.gif (and you must have been out of your mind)" Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm, maybe! And ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm maybe Oran Park was downhill too, when it's timing system registered a 49.6 sec lap in same car. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, or it might have been Ray & Don Selby's suspension work, and maybe ummmmmmmmmmm Peter Hitchin's engine building and the new exhaust system, or maybe Mr Dunlop's green spot racing tyres, when I was competing it as a series production car. Does 4 months old still count as new?????????
  22. "Changing the speedo is (illegal) a bit of a waste". Not if your old one is broke, it's not. In NSW the annual rego checks require an odometer reading on the inspection slip, so the RTA knows wether the speedo has changed and or been repaired. My PNV when it goes on the road will have a Jenesis 260kph speedo with ZERO on the clock & a 9000rpm tacho and that wont be illegal. I suppose it's a bit diferent for these backward states that don't have regular inspections eh? Cheers, D
  23. Congratulations! You got yourself a steal in a lot of our eyes and bad luck for the dill that asked for our help and did nothing about it. They are a dying breed in this country, any sort of HR30 JDM vehicle. I was thinking about it myself, but my next project if it goes ahead will be an 260Z +2. You can be assured that if and when you want any information or help and assistance, there is a wealth of experience and resources in this "Classic Skyline" section. I'm sure we all would be interested in it's progress over time. Cheers, D
  24. Well done Mister30, or is congratulations a more appropriate term? You open a thread here 20th January 2009 with a request; "Want an r30 coupe rollin shell with no engine and no gearbox but must have diff and wheels any where under 3 grand" UNDER 3 Grand??????? Then on 21st January 2009 you respond with; "na mate got all the runnin gear just really want a coupe not to fussed on condish but any help much apreciated so if anyone is wrecking one or something but has the entire shell" .................. and, Then on 23rd January 2009 you reply again with; "Hey guys im really open to any suggestions so if you see one on google no of one on ebay or got one lying out in your backyard post up some pics and let me see" .............. and after several recommendations to go chase a coupe on eBay that most certainly will fall into your under 3 grand price bracket and after contacting the seller, you fail to go through with the purchase and the vehicle goes under the hammer for $2225.00 a long way short of your 3 grand ceiling. What's more, another member of this forum from Melbourne, now residing in Canberra was collecting bits to help you with your project and you didn't go on with that offer either. What's the go? You ask for help and when you get it, you do nothing about it?? Are you just another GUNNA or simply another time waster??? You wont be scoring too many points on this forum with this attitude.
  25. "My new Ti hatch in 1984 was pretty close to 50 clicks per 1000. So about 2000" What a hoot old man, my new 180B SSS in 1973 used to get 20mph/1000rpm in top (4th) so when I was sailing across Mooney Mooney bridge on F3 at 6750rpm, I sorta understood the fowl looks I got from the boys in blue doing radar duty. lol Cheers, D Sorry for hijacking your thread temporarily
