  1. We have been down this track just so often it's getting BORING!!!!! The PJR cars of Glenn Seton & George Fury plus others ran 17 x 9 front and 17 x 10 rear with 240/625 front and 240/650 rear slicks. For the uninformed these designations mean 240mm wide (bag to bag) same as in normal tyre sizing x 625 & 650mm diameter, that's overall static diameter. The OPTIMUM tyre size is 245/45 x 16. This gives the largest footprint and is still within 10% of the original tyre size of 195/60 x 15 and the TEST (recommended) rim size for 245/45 x 16 is 8 inches, so my call is the wheels to have are 16 x 8 all round if possible. My road wheels are 16 x 8 rear and 16 x 7 front using 225/50 rear and 205/55 front. My track wheels are custom modified BBS Lorinzer wheels of 16 x 8 all round with 245/45 x 16 tyres. For the strip (drags) I have a pair of Mickey Thompson ET Drag Radials 265/50 x 16 and the recommended wheel for these is also 8 inches wide. Looking at DrJosh's pics, I'm suggesting the tyres on his wheels are about 225 wide, due to the excessive stretch on the side walls. Stretch like this on a road car does nothing more than expose the side walls to infinite amounts of damage from an infinite range of sources. Make up your own mind, but staying within 10% of original, which is mandatory in NSW, any 17", 18" or bigger rim will use a narrower tyre and similarly down to original 15's. JMHO
  2. You can use U11 Bluebird as well IF you can find them. My JIC Coilovers are U11 Bluebird GT and are about 50mm shorter than original R30 struts, both ends.
  3. What do you call spherical bearings???
  4. Can't help with strut brace, Pat from Newcastle scored the only one I had spare, but companion flanges, um let me see, I have 2 x sets of rear trailing arms complete including hubs so I guess I might have. And I am yet to bring the 280ZX over home that I scored for FREE.
  5. How you off for trailing arms Matt, my spare parts dept might be able to help lol
  6. Your not selling now it goes like you wanted it too?????????????????????????
  7. About $20 and you still want the dash to be sent???? What the hell for when you want to punt it. I'll give ya $50 just for the boot trim.
  8. One of Ten thousand maybe! Not really, but there were heaps of 4 door HR30's in Oz, similarly KHR30's, although as they get older, less want to keep them on the road so current numbers are fairly small. It's the Limited Edition's and DR30's that are more rare, although Powerplay Imports were still bringing in DR sedans up until mid last year. As for the Passage GT on another thread, I have pics & specs in a JDM sales brochure that I will post when I get time. Cheers
  9. And I couldn't work the link either
  10. Sure is Harry, O S GIKEN made the head and last I heard never to be again. Paul Newman and Bob Sharp had them in their 280ZX Turbos the year (I think 83) when Paul Newman won the US Sports Car title in an S130 280ZX turbo.
  11. It was a stock R180, but the R200 bar is not so much the spacing between the bolts but the extra bend in the it to compensate for the larger diameter of the crown wheel. If your thinking of using a finned cover like gets on ebay, then an all new bar has to be made because the spacings are further apart as well as the extra bends.
  12. You don't need that much stiffening to the moustache bar. It looks to be a SOLID mount too and that's going to give you mass vibration from the diff through the car. OK for racing but heaps uncomfortable and noisy for road use
  13. Why so keen to go 5 stud?????
  14. facelift is 4.11 " " " " " " ????????? Sorry, but no documentation I own suggests ANY DR30 in any configuration came out with 4.11:1 ex factory. L20 HR derivatives had 4.11:1 R200 diffs.
  15. Have never seen one in this country, but the front grille and headlights often turn up on Yahoo Auctions ~ Japan, but they want a bomb for them as anything R30 is now cult status in Japan. An HR30 coupe like Harry's old car used to sell at auction for about 150000 yen, but today your lucky to get anything reasonable for about 500000 yen.
  16. Make your own. Any sign maker can do this. Take a picture of the signs you want or a scan from what you have from Jenesis and get them to make it. As for colour coding if your car is red, it's 013. If it's 2 tone the only factory reds were 059, made up with 013 Red over 028 Grey and otherwise 013 Red over 826 Black, according to my JDM Brochures. Do you have a colour code on the compliance/manufacturing plates?
  17. I recently picked up a 280ZX for FREE. Complete car and running all for the cost of the tow.
  18. If it has an FJ20DET or ET in it, it is 3.9:1 guaranteed
  19. I see you had the only good Skyline there eh? Best next time it should be 2!
  20. Will drop in from time to time, but other than classics and members you wont find me ever again. FAR to many would be if they could be's in open forums, d#ckheads that think they own the world. Be interesting next time V8 Owners and SAU go to the drags coz the only Skyline doing 11's might have a V8 Owners sticker on the window. LOL
  21. N12 Pulsar, B11 Pulsar all had same switch or you could just ask someone that has a SKYLINE badge waiting to be picked up for a switch.
  22. How about a n/a Cressida lol
  23. No rain at Campbelltown! Overcast but blue sky visible through the clouds, Certainly no rain! and hasn't been for sometime by the look of the ground. D
