  1. crunked block? wtf.. thats just scare mongering. hope its not a serious as that, car runs perfectly btw
  2. the gague is a GReedy with adjustable warning light and a memory recall, I assume its hooked up to the stocko sender as the factory gague is not working, I drove it again today as my tuner recons most likely just the sender... BUT! each time I start the car I take the cap off to make sure there is some oil getting around and I'm only babying it until I can get to my tuner. I did however take my radiator cap off and have a look... mmmmmm milky green coolant, looks like a wrong lime milkshake so I assume oil is getting in my coolant, but my oil is fine, which is a bit strange if the head gasket is gone there would be water in the oil and oil in the water.... so um... yeah I'm not realy sure what is going on. will swing a few hours off work tomoz and go to my tuners and get it sorted until then, anyone care to guess what the hell is going on?
  3. changing from complience cat to a high flow I noticed better response, less surging at those awkward throttle postitions, less "pop's" in the exaust and a sharper power hit when it is realy being punished. worth it imo
  4. I have a r32 GTR one here if you get desperate and need to mod one
  5. ooook, I'll help myself then... I went to UltraNooob around the corner and they wouldnt touch the car..wtf? They did however confirm that there was oil circulating, which it looked like to me anyway, but how much and if it was safe to drive they would not say.. I took the risk and drove it the 30k's home in peak hour trying realy hard to keep the revs below 2500-3000rpm with a button clutch in peak hour while missing Akmal on Nova because I had to keep an ear out for signs my motor might be eating itself. Ok, so now I'm home I'll hunt around for details on checking the oil pressure sender. god I love this forum, so much help, its great if SAU was a porn site it would be all about masturbation... heh jut kidding
  6. Hi guys, I am at work at the moment, I just went down the shop on my break to get some smokes and my oil pressure guage was sitting static on 2.0psi or bar or whatever it is, I switched off and it went to 0 and powers on when ignition is on but wont jiggle around like it usually does. I checked the oil and it was a little low so I topped it up, still no pressure, I ran the car with the oil cap off and the cams are throwing oil around so it looks like it has some oil up top. Maybe the oil pressure guage has just had the dick, but it seems to be fine and powers up, the memory recall works and so does the warning light, but the warning light wasnt on when it was reading a static 2.0 bar. So, is it safe to drive home? can anyone explain where the sender goes so I can check that when i finish work before i trundle home? halp, halp, halp!!! dont let my RB26 eat itself
  7. yeap, un plug it and plug it back in.. mine does this sometimes but I havnt mounted the Power FC properly yet it's sitting on the passengers side floor so it mist get a little loose, push it back in and see if it works like it should
  8. From what I can gather from reading this forum and other info on the www is that people have an engine failure withing 6 months or so of owning it. If your carefull and take care of your car there isnt any reason that your engine will not make it to 300,000k's or beyond

they came to my work where my car is registered to, have a feeling it was someone in the industrial estate I work at dobbng me in, I was home today however which is close by and they called past after my employer told them where I live. They were ok, not pushy or anything. Just asked to see the car and said they need to be seen to be following up on calls etc and then took my number, told me to take it easy and if there are any more reports they will be in contact.
  10. works well with redskins and toffee apple lollies aswel mmmmm, yummy. will definatly try the skittles one tho
  11. When I bought my GTR it was "stock, never boosted..." yeah right when you start to hunt for power with your car it soon becomes aparent that your "stock" GTR isnt realy very stock at all. initial purchace will see you needing a full overhaul of the vehicle fluids and filters + a cam belt, budget around $1000 to have it done at a workshop and dialed in on the dyno. stock GTR's make around 165awk, slightly more with an exaust. I did the following: Power FC $1000 cam gears $150 EBC (already fitted but budget for around $500) Turbo timer (already fitted and not much point using one unless you take your car to the track, budget for around $200) Gauges (already fitted but you will want these as the stock gauges are crap budget around $500 - $700) Hi flow cat $400 Dyno time $500 minimum Labor to fit all this stuff $1000 approx and then there is all the problems they find like brittle hoses, leaking injectors and the like so make sure you have some cash spare for that. result? 230awk @ .9bar (everything running at approx 80% capacity ie injectors and AFM's etc)

I just got a visit from Mr & Mrs Plod asking about my car... seems someone has reported me as having a loud exaust and 'spinning the wheels' (which is crap, its a GTR and I told the coppers that and they gave me a blank look.. They wanted to see my car, I told them it is in the shop atm (was actually locked up in my garage) Am I likely to get an EPA letter?
  13. you simply cannot compare a rwd skyline (or most other rwd performance cars) to a GTR its just not the same game [edit] BTW the MRS/MX5 is a hairdressers car, its ghey and I have driven one, and it sucked balls just like a hairdresser
  14. cheers for that mathew, even my mechanic wasnt sure
  15. Hi all, I need a power steer pump for r32 GTR. not sure if GTST is the same or r33/r34 pumps are interchangable. if someone can confirm that it would also be helpfull please sms or call 0434148348 if you have one and are in melbourne cheers Jesse
  16. I need a RB26 IAC valve, please say you have one...
  17. got an IAC valve? (sits under the phlem) if so please send me PM with your number and a price, I'll come pick it up
  18. as title suggests, I am urgently looking for an IAC valve (it sits under the phlem) please send a PM or a call/sms to 0434148348 with your price cheers Jesse
  19. I can book my wheels in for repair and rubber as soon as some kind soul lends me some should be about 1 week until they are repaired and ready to refit (aprrox 60k's driving for me)
  20. hiya, need some rolling stock while my GTR's wheels get a manicure and a new dress. If you have a set of rims and are in northern burbs and can spot me for a week while my wheels are sorted I will shower you with beer and kudos. plz send PM with prefered beverage and location/number and I will be in touch cheers Betz (Jesse)
  21. picked them up thismorning and fitted them up, seems to have fixed the problem and only cost $25 for the re soldier MEAT IS BACK ON THE MENU!!!! hahaha, I know they will need to be replaced eventually when I start chasing big power but for now they should do the trick, still might replace the pods tho, chrome is flaking off the plastic filter housing. cheers for the suggestions, looks like some nismo afm's need to be budgeted in along with a pallet of 2minute noodles
  22. dropped the afm's to the auto sparky today, he is going to cut the covers off and re soldier the connections, I'll then test it and see if it is still munted.. If I have a dead one then I spose I'll open my wallet again and fork out for some nismo ones and a pod kit, nengun lists the apexi bnr32 kit for $197 + delivery. looks like 2 minute noodles fortea again tonite
  23. will these drop in without the need for springs and all that stuff?
  24. I would go that way but its all been removed prior to owning the car, reason for mentioning pods is bacause its whats on it at the moment, so basic bolt fit remove/replace. the car has 3" exaust, cam gears, PFC, and pods. not looking to go to crazy yet but the pod setup that is on the car is not in the greatest condition and as I understand if I use RB25 or Z32 airflow meters the pods have a different fitup so I would need to upgrade them at the same time
  25. my GTR has dropped an AFM, apexi pfc tells me so and the trust pod kit on the car is crap atm, I have cleaned up the AFM's and one is still dropping out. as I am looking for a power increase at the moment and this area has let me down I am considering options for the intake side of my quite stock brn32. come forth and impart your wisdom as I need it now to help tame my ever cantankerous GTR comments appreciated
