I thought the RB25 was a non interference motor, ie, snap a belt, no issues except for motor stoppping... I've had my pistons at TDC before whilst changing heads etc, and spun the cams a full 180degrees each, and they don't hit... Explain how you guys smash valves? Or is teh RB20 an interference motor?

I reckon... Don't know how many times I've lost skin from swapping engines... Oh wait... I'm missing a heap of skin down the side of one finger from swapping one RB25/30 for another RB25/30... Use the SEARCH!

Can you do a better photo with the Neo head, with the 25 head gasket on it? Mainly straight on, not on an angle, even if it's just one cylinder. From that angle it appears like a 20DE head.

Hey all, I have an RB20 head at my mums, that I'm hoping is an RB20DET head, as I want the valve springs out of it if it is. How am I able to tell if it's an RB20DE or DET head when it's already stripped down? It's basically head with cams in it. Is there any differences in RB20DE and DET valve springs?

Changing the ramp rate on a dyno can change torque readings. As will other factors. The true test is the 1/4 mile.

Actually, power at the back wheels is meaningless. Torque is what makes the car move quickly!

Just being a part of the club is worth while, not just for cheaper events. Mind you, the cheapened Merch is also well worth it...

If you have the stuff... PUT IT IN! Geebus christ, if I had all that stuff my block would have been out and honed and bored long long ago. Also, just use standard head bolts. Don't worry about going the extra cost on studs if it'll save you a touch now.

Then I gotta wait till I can pick the block up mid week... Then put it back together... Then see if it runs... Then rip a skid... See if it'll still run... Then see if it goes on the day of race day... ROFL 17 day dead line to replace a motor... And the only thing I've got at the moment is a dead motor... ROFL

f**k it... Paid. I'd say Group 4... Never got a time on OP GP, but I kept climbing up on the ass of other cars when it actually ran... So better to be in Group 4 I think... put us in Group 5 if you want... I'll be running the same setup except on semis (So long as the car runs)
