  1. How the hell are you getting blow by, if there is no point for the engine to dump oil into before the air flow meter? It goes, POD filter, AFM, normally then recirc line pretty close in (From BOV), then turbo... I don't understand how you claim blow by as the cause? When you cleaned the air valve, did it have a HEAP of crap built up in it? (Black carbon) and when you finished did it all look nice and new?
  2. These cheap coolers may be able to make "X" amount of power, but how many of those people, have taken there cheapo cooler off, wacked on a branded, more expensive, better built unit, to find that the inlet charge is now, even cooler, and even more power is able to be made? A cheap cooler will do you for low power, but I wouldn't want to push one in high power.
  3. So you didn't fix the rattle, you just blocked the noise getting to you?
  4. The oil will be from your air filter if it's oil based. Go and get some electrical contact cleaner. Do the AFM with electrical contact cleaner. Then clean the AAC valve with carby cleaner.
  5. $4,500 for a 2J Then the gearbox. Priced the good 6 speed boxes for a 2J, they're nearly that price again. Then get all new mounts and everything made, and then, since it's not the original motor in the skyline, around another $1000-$1500 or so for an engineers cert. I'd be assuming the 6 speed box for the 2J has now come down from 6G (Where it was around 3 years ago) to a price of around $4000 So that's $8 500 JUST for an engine and gearbox, no mounts, nothing, not even in the car, you haven't even put a new turbo or anything on it. So, looking at $9 500 basically (Excluding labour and engine mounts) to put a 2J in your R33. You said $10 000 to $15 000 for an RB26/30 combo? I'll go a 26/30 combo then. As for $10 000 - $15 000 that's all new turbo, manifolds, injectors, etc, whereas, your 2J is still on stock turbos.
  6. You guys only just started noticing them like 2 weeks ago? Far out, I've been spotting them for the last 18months! Some people need to pay more attention... Mind you, a group of friends bought a couple and stuck them on a mates car at his 19th birthday... LOL He went mental! Seriously, I just see them, have a little giggle, and think "I'll never have one of those on my car" If flower stickers on cars are getting you lot so pissed off, you all need to take a chill pill, would hate to see you in a truly stressful event.
  7. Once every 3 weeks I get pulled over whilst I was only driving it once every 2 days. At the moment, I don't get pulled over, simply, the car hasn't been driven at the moment.
  8. I'd have to disagree there completely. Mine have done nothing but be utter shit. Pushing max power of 185KW (With a torque hole dropping to around 160RWKW when I should hit max power) I can still spin these tyres from 1st through to redline in second, from a roll at around 30km/h, by only punching the throttle. I would NOT recommend these tyres at all. Threw on a mates set of Bluestreak tyres, and they grip probably 3 times as well in the dry (Haven't been in the wet) and since they're not my tyre, I haven't really given them much at all, but at around $110 per tyre for 225/50/16, I'll be changing rims, and putting them on also! My falkens in the wet are just as shocking as in the dry... Just pure wheel spin (Although, they're not as bad in the wet as I expected them to be)
  9. Get used to it. You own an import, They have the power. And yaf28f: Legal noise limit is not 95DBa, it's actually 90DBa.
  10. The amount of air the engine can "gobble up" is still the same amount, no matter how much you try to ram the air in from speed, it won't help. The extra piece of pipe is just like moving the pod further from the AFM, you still have the same issue.
  11. 1) His car is proof in itself. 2) If you have poor spark, tipping extra fuel in, wettens the plug too much, not allowing it to spark, no spark, no go.
  12. It's never too much! Mr331307 had his running at 500RWHP for 8 months, and the only thing that car did was burnouts, drag racing, or dyno runs (Some of the most stressful things you could do) It was never treated nicely. Lasted long enough. Stock injectors too.
  13. He followed the guide on how to make the stock BOV hold more pressure. He isn't dumping air into the atmosphere at all. Quite the opposite, he's letting NONE out!
  14. I have one of these in my car also... Works a treat, a pretty decent monitor.
  15. Caltex 98 for mileage, Shell 98 for performance. Won't touch BP as it just back fires and misses and coughs and sputters. Shit fuel.
  16. Something near the engine, most likely coil packs, needs drying out big time, And not just being blown with a hose. Set the oven at 120-130Degrees, and put a SPARE coil in, just to check it won't melt. Then throw in your real ones (Coils shouldn't melt, as they're designed to run at around 100degrees celcius) The oven is to get the water fully out.
  17. 185RWKW, HUGE torque hole between 4500 - 6000RPM (Power drops to like 100RWKW) and I can still spin 1st and second just by taking off in 1st, punching it around 20-30KM/H and just hang on as it squirms around... Chirp into 3rd occasionally when REALLY punishing it... Once my torque hole is fixed (Computer is pulling timing atm as someone has modified it with a touch too much timing) should be looking at a very nice and beefy 195-200RWKW...
  18. I wouldn't put another set of Falken budget tyres on my car ever. NO TRACTION! Shit wear!
  19. On the dash of the GTS-t, there are some little vents (Up the top of the dash) that are used to aim at the side windows when on "Window" for fan etc. Also the A-Pillar plastic bits. How much each? (Mainly want the drivers side A-Pillar plastic) Might be able to pick them up tomorrow.
  20. Map coming in 30 seconds to first post.
  21. Wild1 changed names over to Wollongong Motorsport Centre Same people, same knowledge, even more great fun! Come on guys, come along, have some fun, spin the rollers!
  22. I can't seem to find the price listing Gary. Can you repost the link for it? Thanks. Matt
  23. 20KG is stuff all weight in reality. Especially compared to comfort. Also, for all those girls saying put the window down. That creates air drag... Turn the air con off, leave the window up... See how long you last... I've lived with a car (Still do) that doesn't have air con at all, it's horrid getting in it after work etc, and boiling to the shit house. I like my air con. And as for those noticing lag... WTF I'm running a button clutch with 1250 clamp load, and I can still roll it off the mark like a stock clutch with air con on. No lag, nothing. Drives beaut.
