  1. The clutch master has to come out to be replaced so when its out ill snap some photos . when you pull the master and booster out it will become clear what we have done. Nah i havent been in Newcastle for good 7 years so wont be down that way anytime soon. Bonnet closed fine without cam belt cover on. it would hit on the front if it was on. The engine rubs on the undermatt of bonnet but barely. We spaced the strut brace up a few mm and still have fingers gap in there. maybe your carbon bonnet is a bit fatter in some places compared to stock.
  2. i know of one that lasted 50,000+ klms. powercruise, powerplay, drag racing. copped a flogging. started to slip in end but it was well worn out from slipping the clutch to build boost on line when racing
  3. formagasket works for me everytime. goo it up and slap it back together
  4. definetly in the tune. i have same cams without any issue
  5. Not exactly like a stocker it still bites but its a very forgiving bite. Give it 15 mins of driving and you would have it pretty much sorted.
  6. i have a NPC Bigmouth clutch with 3800-3900 lbs clamp im at 350kws so far and handles 3rd gear clutch kick no problem. cost me $740 and took 2 days to get to me. drives like a stocker pretty much, lighter then stock pedal feel. http://www.npcperformance.com.au/ thats the website
  7. Nowdays you will get defected regaurdless of stock looking bay or high mount bay. Might aswell go bigger setup enjoy the fun and deal with defects when they happen.
  8. few races againist justin in 33, bit of a unfair advantage on power but all in good fun
  9. POWERPLAY STORYTIME..... Friday morning the car was driven from Bundy to Brisbane (4 hours) for a decent alignment, tune and a powerplay thrashing. Car ran perfect whole way down. Took the car into Accurate Supsension Services for it to be better setup for street/track. Reccommend them to anyone wanting a quality setup. Car handles so much better then before, tested it at QR threw it into a few corners at speed and stuck like glue, it used to have the tendency to go into understeer when quickly turned in. It also squirmed and walked under power and heavy braking. All that is now gone. Once that was done it was taken to Mark at Godzilla Motorsport for its long awaited tune. The plan was feed it as much boost until the fuel system wouldnt allow anymore. Early tuning resulted in some suprising figures on very low boost levels. Alot of attention was paid to cruise and transition from decel to accel tuning. Trying to make the car a nice car to drive not only just powerful. The end result transformed the car, it can potter along in 5:30pm banked up highway traffic (as we found out) without a cough or hesitation. The fuel economy has improved largely too. Gotten 50klms so far more out of a tank along highway. Trying to get ahold dyno sheet from Mark so can post up current power figure and delivery. Injector duty cycle started to get high (90+%) so Mark added some extra fuel pressure to compansate so a bit more. got a extra 40hp before 92% IDC was reached and stopped at that power and boost level....a bit short of the expected boost that was planned Its not too bad off boost, ample enough power to cruise along road and climb hills without dropping down gears, like the old 2.7 required. Power comes on hard at 5400 and is suprisingly a flat linear curve all the way till 8500. Unsure of when power will drop off but we all agreed 8500 is enough to rev it at this stage. BADSIDE is the big cam idle has dissappeared completely :( . Going to talk to Mark about getting that back. Sounds too cool to get rid off . POWERPLAY. Woke up saturday morning to a car with only half a clutch pedal throw, a little bit of 530am hotel carpark spanner swinging got a full clutch back again. went to track and in process the clutch was giving dramas again. Checked it out in the staging lanes and found the clutch master cylinder had decided it was going to start leaking very slowly and bleed off. Was not going to get a cylider on weekend so just kept eye on fluid level and adjusted things as we went. On track car performed faultless, Needed more power as always. won some races lost some too. all in fun. Car made it back to bundy with only a small oil leak (suspected oil relocation adapter and the clutch master leaking) For its first proper outing its done awesome. Tim is working out what to do with the car next, gearbox upgrade, fuel system, Ecu, but for now just going to drive it until feels slow again and the start chasing power
  10. Videos uploading now, Should be up later tonight.
  11. Car is still on pump fuel haha low boost 30psi would be asking for trouble. It didnt get near that sort of boost levels. Tim not interested in alternate fuels at this stage so going to hit a wall soon for safe power levels
  12. im not going to say power until Tim says ok to do so. It did however run out of injector on "low" boost levels unfortunetly. At 92% on a set of 800s. The tune that Mark at Godzilla motorsport done has made the car drive almost like a stocker, smooth and gets very good economy considering and safe mixtues. Car went awesome at powerplay, never skipped a beat except for a leaky clutch master cylinder. Needed more power as always . The turbo is singing by 5400 and keeps making power all the way to (Owner set) limiter of 8500rpm. I will upload some powerplay and dyno videos up over the next few days and hopefully convince tim to let the power level out to everyone
  13. Dyno tuning went somewhat to plan, will be at powerplay tommorow FINALLY!!!!
  14. same old story. just been doing little bits. Fit revised clutch master bracket and its ready for a tune. Have booked a date for tune mid next month, time to see what its got lurking.
  15. Wanting a good no noise spins 2 wheels all time diff for a r32 gtst What have people got
  16. http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=19762&cat=&page=1 thats the one mate
  17. Tune has been organised just need to lock in date. I have said to Tim, leave it with me and it will be going in a few days.
  18. I dont have any issues with oil pressure/flow. Dont need to reinvent the wheel or overthink it. Just bolt 20 housing on move sender job done
  19. I dont have any issues with oil pressure/flow. Dont need to reinvent the wheel or overthink it. Just bolt 20 housing on move sender job done
  20. Selling the clutch out of my R32 RB25 skyline. about 4 year old stopped being used in October last year. Done around 20,000klms max Custom made Excedy base clutch. Claimed 600hp capable. I was running 471whp with never a issue, no slipping. Can 3rd gear drop clutch and just bites Pedal feel is heavier then new HD clutches but no different to a twin plate. Reason for changing is motor getting rebuilt at the moment for more power and want to be on the safe side so just changing it for a NPC Custom single Has started to rust discolour but will dissapear first use Price 350 +postage ono. picture shows the worst of the hot spots
