Why would I do that? The 30 was running as my daily for a couple of years, pulled it out to put some stronger rods and other stuff in, just didn't expect to break the wagon while it was still in pieces
It's going back together with a stock bottom end, ASR sump, my custom forward facing plenum/Q45 throttlebody and the highflow off the wagon. In order to be a tightass, we're knocking up some spacers so I can use some old Neo injectors that I have lying around (after a clean), 370cc should be plenty for the highflow as I'm not exactly going to be leaning on it very hard.. whatever it makes at 1bar of boost will be fine for a while.
List of things to do:
-Bolt reconditioned front callipers back on (as soon as chuckie brings them round )
-Get clutch cleaned & inspected (HKS twin for cheap cheap.. hopefully it's ok! heh)
-Bolt head & ancillaries on to block (easy)
-Drop engine in car (easy)
-Get my mate to weld a pipe to throttlebody (hard)
-Fit NIStune board to ECU (easy)
Interior will be back together this arvo and the thermo fans will be mounted and wired. Already got all my top end gaskets, just waiting for spigot bush and throwout bearing to arrive. Can put engine together but can't drop it in until I have those.
Once the brakes are on it can come off the axle stands, carport position swapped with the wagon and wagon turbo removed. Then really I'm just waiting on workshop availability which should be this weekend! Not bothering to book in for a tune until it's all together though.
