  1. Piece of piss but I can only do it if you get the car to me
  2. Those of you venting the crankcase to a catchcan via the dipstick, how have you made the connection onto the dipstick? 1/2" hose and a clamp?
  3. Did you search at all? Remove tierod ends from hubs, remove the rack, loop power steering lines, swap tierods from old rack to lockbar, install lockbar. If you really want to you can remove the fluid lines all the way to the front and remove the solenoid in the engine bay, then just loop the fluid lines at the front (I'm using the extra lines to run a cooler). I didn't remove all of this crap to begin with, I waited until the next time I had the engine out.
  4. Will send you all a PM with details, don't want to make the price public in case I get in trouble
  5. Wear something revealing k?

If I have wheels I'll be there (maybe with bells on!).
  7. I used 2x 1.49mm shims (one on either side), it was pretty well locked to begin with but after a couple of weeks it had worn in nicely and is now just like a new LSD.
  8. A++ trader, excellent service :)

Could at least organise a burnout pad
  10. I feel I must just note to you guys that if you want to drive around in 2WD, you have to START the car and then hit the brake pedal 5 times. If you turn to the key to on and do it, it resets when you then start the car.

Is this just a show'n'shine thing? or will there be some driving events?
  12. It's some really fancy fabric electrical tape that my auto-eleccy mate gave me. I grouped them into 2 layers of 3 resistors, cut some ally to use as spacers/heatsinks. Ally spacers on the bottom, in between and on top of the resistors. Used thermal paste between it all and taped either end and longitudinally with the fabric tape (also acts as a damper to take up the minimal slack between the assembly and the case) then thermal pasted the exposed ally top and bottom so that the case can be used as a heat sink too. I was quite concerned with the assembly moving around and any exposed wires contacting the case (hello fire). The fat power feed to the resistors I stripped back quite far, split it into two and ran three resistors to each with all exposed wire heat shrunk all the way to the resistors. I have made a new loom just for the power feeds to the injectors, just need to extend the original injectors earths and then crimp the plugs on. My autoleccy mate sourced me some brand new Bosch plugs with seals and boots to suit the GTR injectors and let me borrow his terminal crimper
  13. Pretty sure R33 RB25DE gearboxes are the same as R32 RB20, not sure about R34 RB25DE.
  14. Two weeks to get the car going and tuned.. I might be pushing it!
  15. I made the H1 HID's I got for the wagon fit the H3C bulb holders. Was a fair bit of fking around, drilling and cutting but they fit nice now. When I get a new battery I'll fire them up and see what it looks like.
  16. Probably thought that was the signal to start teh race.
  17. Home made resistor pack
  18. Putting together a CarPC is reasonably cheap, I run a VoomPC-2 from mini-box.com in my Stagea, it's about the size of my 500W amp (allows me a bit of extra room for expansion cards) and lives under the passenger seat. Screens are the expensive bit, or at least they were when I first built mine.. a good quality screen was more than the cost of the PC! If I was to do it again I would use one of those new USB screens. As for the software, you don't need NIStune all the time. I have it on there but find that Datascan is easier to use on a daily basis for monitoring and diagnostics. Because I cbf fitting a carpc back into the Skyline I've been looking at the ECUTalk boxes and find myself leaning that way for this application as it still works with NIStune.
  19. That's where I'm headed before I hit Northside up for a couple of things this morning
  20. lol nice got some 1/4"x1/4" grub screws, probably going to take a few bits and a lot of patience heh r33racer, that's an excellent point!
  21. We've done Mrs Mauds on a Sunday (way better than Sizzler *smirk*) And it's a bit far away, I'm up for teh Kings.
  22. Intriguing but how much is a buffet breakfast at a fancy hotel going to cost? Edit: Boss, Dale and I used to do breakfast on a weekly basis but we literally worked less than 100m away from each other, first Friday of every month sounds good
  23. Care to elaborate on your bogan way? Chuckie has grabbed me a few 1.6mm mig tips but I think they might be too small an OD, he's now tracking me down some grub screws to match the taps up at the workshop, worst comes to worst I'll drill out a 1.5mm hole in a grub screw and tap that into the front feed.
  24. Sundays are out, but I'm down for next Friday
