  1. Anything with a T3 flange will bolt to the standard manifold but with aftermarket turbos there will be new dump and intake pipes needed. Go see Grant at Per4manz turbos, he built my R34 highflow.
  2. You can still empty a standard sump with even an RB30E pump if you have no restrictors.
  3. LOL *too* torquey?! Whatever floats your boat mate but a fresh stock RB30 bottom end under your RB25DE head, with all your RB20 stuff bolted on (ecu, coilpacks, injectors, turbo etc etc) and that GT-RS turbo would be quite a formidable street car.
  4. You could run the line from the sump to a T-piece with a ball valve, one line high on the catch can and one on the bottom for a drain but have it as a manual drain, i.e. normally the drain is shut and the line from the sump vents to the catch can. If you find it's filling up then you can open the ball valve and drain back to the sump.
  5. I have a USB>serial too, but it seems to be playing up. Charles is going to try his adapter tonight (it's the one we usually use anyway) and worst case scenario I have to buy a USB consult cable
  6. Yeah lay the guilt trip fk ya
  7. Yeah sorry, intercooler pipes (looking for air/vacuum leaks), not coolant pipes
  8. Jesse, to me it sounds like a vaccum leak and another possibility is intake manifold gasket leaking. Have a look in the workshop manual for the vaccum layout, will show you all the hoses - make sure they are all good. To search for leaks in intercooler piping and manifolds, grab a can of Aerostart or similar and with the engine running, spray around all the joints in the cooler piping and intake manifold - if the revs pick up you've found your leak.
  9. Just need to clarify, really I meant an oil/air separator.. contains baffles etc and is used to scrub oil from the air before returning it to the intake stream. Always a good thing on a boosted, legal, recirculating breather setup. A catch can just catches any oil that may come out the breather and is a safety measure required in some racing, usually used in atmo breathing setups (and in recirc setups by people who bought cheap catch cans off ebay).
  10. Ok all monies are in, I'm just trying to download Andreis' maps before I place the order but it's proving rather difficult He has an oddball ECU and they need a factory image for base programming. I think my serial>USB converter is playing up and dropping the connection periodically Does anyone have a proper USB consult cable that we could borrow? (i.e. doesn't need an adapter)
  11. What happens when you flood the head with oil is that there is now a lack of oil down below and you end up with starvation related bearing issues. Why recreate the wheel? OEM pumps and restrictors are proven to work.. Oh and an N1 pump flows more than enough, hell you even have to use restrictors with an RB30E pump when running a twincam head.
  12. Stock 25DE cams are more than adequate, we managed to push 365rwkw through a standard RB20 throttlebody, plenum and R32 25DE cams.
  13. That is the hot wire (sensing) element in the airflow meter, O2 sensor is in the turbo dump pipe. And that looks like a shitload of oil on the afm, look up the cleaning DIY and see how it goes. Got a catch can? Edit: beat me to it horrace!
  14. If I had have known...
  15. R32 GTSt and there is no finned tube that I have ever found. There was a loop of pipe that ran along the bottom radiator support but that's it and I'm pretty sure I binned that when I removed the HICAS solenoid/piping.
  16. You know what they say about great minds..
  17. What ECU? have you checked for any errors? did you get a CEL at all?
  18. I put put it inline with the return to the resevoir. Personally, because my car had hydraulic hicas, I will be using the extra pumping circuit to circulate fluid through the cooler (currently just looped).
  19. All of the factory maps I have looked at have the speed limiter set to 178kmh, there will of course be a discrepency in speed between what the wheels are actually doing and what the speedo says, depending on tyre sizes and how lazy the speedo is.
  20. I used to run 235/45/17's on 34GTT rims on a 32gtst with no problems.* *My car isn't on its' balls though.
  21. The head on the engine you have is the PERFECT plug and play head for putting an RB25/30 in an R32 GTSt... they are getting as rare as hens teeth to find! If I was you, I would be freshening up a RB30E bottom end, dropping the 25DE head on and bolting all the RB20 ancillaries to it.
  22. Try to outline the problem or any symptoms, I'm not far away in Ashfield but I can't get to you
  23. Did it eat your homework?
  24. Very nice! 30's ftw
