  1. Date, time, my schedule, planetary alignment, cosmic radiation... you know the normal stuff
  2. Depends on a number of factors, but I'm interested.
  3. Oh, and agree with what Andy said (can't hurt to do the resets and may raise your idle) What year is your car? I know there were a heap of different Nissan ECU's for these things so maybe you have an early build M35 like me? If you PM me your VIN, I can check the ECU number and build date (may be a common trait with the early ECU's?)
  4. Sounds sort of similar to mine, except mine doesn't work it's way down in stages (no pauses every 50rpm), it just slowly lowers until it hits 550 when very warm (500 can occur only on a damn hot day and after an hour drive or longer). You didn't mention any pausing when it lowers down to 550 but that was the impression I got from your post. 750-800rpm is "too high" for an M35. The factory idle is set at 650 +/- 50rpm. Mine has been doing this for about 2.5 years now with no ill effects. In that time, I have added/upgraded/replaced - turbo, radiator, intercooler & piping, thermostat, runner spacer, throttle Body, dump pipe, frontpipe/cat, cat-back. None of which have made a difference to the lower than normal idle. I have not changed my PCV as it is still working properly it would seem.
  5. When you say "low" idle, what do you mean? 550rpm? 500rpm? or less?? I know when mine car is warm, it will idle around 600, but if it is a hot day the idle will drop further, sometimes to 500-550 but will hold steady
  6. hmm... Sounds like advertising to me. Mr. Whiteline, perhaps before spruiking your wares, you should speak to admin about becoming a trader? Also, if you are going to advertise the fact that you have C34 swaybars for sale, you should do it in a relevant thread and not the "Nm35 Sway Bars" thread, no?
  7. Reasonably large mods (wheels, suspension, FMIC etc etc), yes. Little stuff like catch cans, runner spacers etc, no.
  8. Oil bypass? What you up to, Mmm? The Ryco I used to use is the S15 one, now who knows. Any with M20 thread should work. At a guess, something like this.... http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/bf.aspx
  9. 2nd kit is for N/A VQ35/25's. You can get a pod and enclose it if you really want one. Blitz and M's have pod "kits" but they just sit behind the headlight. Stock airbox with powerduct/home made powerduct will be sufficient.
  10. Yep, that's the one. Thanks! (no need to turn on the PC tonight then ) Awesome upgrade Chris, have wanted to do this for just over a year now... just need to get the wheels to fit them first lol Interested to know though, is there is any brake dust or squealing from the pads?
  11. Best of luck guys (I am sure it will make quite a difference, but I can't see how the risk/reward is in your favour on this one)
  12. You see the pod through the powerduct irrelevant. One intake mod allowed in Vic. Aaron has a FMIC so that is it for legality.
  13. Yep, as Andy said, straight bolt in... but sadly it is canary material in Vic (you already have the FMIC)
  14. They should juuuust fit, but you'll need to use 15mm or 20mm spacers (from memory) I have a template for this brake kit that you can print, cut out and put inside your current wheel to see if they will fit... but it is on the home PC. Will post it up tonight.
  15. f it was the sound of the air leak, it would be more prominent at high boost as more air will be squeezed out of the gap. When I had my turbo/dump leak, it sounded like my car was farting when I hit positive boost, but I couldn't hear anything when I was off boost
  16. I thought your turbo sound was fkn loud too. Certainly louder than anything used outside of the local speedway anyway.
  17. Prado is not mine and yes, I do regularly rip him about the Patrol upgrade kits available for it. BTW, I found that driving a Patrol was quite an average experience. I will presume you are referring to me instead of Nick here mate. He thought it was funny... as did I. Not used to a) seeing another M35 or b) NOT DRIVING my car!
  18. Saw a pearl blue M35 turning into Mount Eliza yesterday, gave them a flash and then immediately realised that I was in the Prado and that was my Dad in my car.
  19. You don't wanna know, but it does have to with "suction"
  20. Fabio, my Stagea was complied by Northshore 4 years ago and I have seen the results on a few other M35's. They do an awesome job, can't really fault them at all. Oh, and they do the cleanest job with the rear anchor/restraint points that I have seen (no leaking for reckless hole drilling).
  21. I wish I could believe that! Look forward to seeing what the end result is though
  22. Agree. Take it to a Nissan Dealership and get them to put it on their Consult 3 (it will tell them in plain English where the issue is)
  23. Nissan part number is 22401-AQ815 according to FAST and will be NGK platinum. Iridium will perform longer than Platinum and can produce a better spark (obviously a lot of this comes down to the design of the tip) Denso iridium plugs are IKH22 and are what a lot of us are using. I am sure that someone will chime in with the NGK plug number. It is pretty easy to change them yourself and there is a DIY over at m35stagea.info http://m35stagea.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=64
  24. 360 degrees... so wouldn't you still be facing it?
  25. Garmin have maps, but we need someone that can somehow hack them and allow them to display in the Xanavi system we have. You wouldn't know anyone like that would you? Maybe talk to Chris Rogers on what needs to be done... or search, I think it was covered somewhere in here last year or the year before
