  1. Nope, never had a re-gas and is still awesomely cold Aaron, puhleeeeeeze don't get Andy started on a water spray for the intercooler (although I did agree it was a good idea)
  2. Any 350z or G35 brake kit will fit. Only difference might be the fluid lines
  3. Listen to this man, he speaks from experience
  4. Jeezus Freddy! That's some decent water. My folks are up in Cobram and have been flooded out but can't come home because BOM and SES are saying that the roads shouldn't be used as there is one helluva storm coming across Vic this arvo/evening. So 2 years ago was Black Saturday and now we are looking at wide spread flooding. Anyone know how the E/NE suburbs and their main roads are going?
  5. Mechanics are overrated. Get someone with experience with these cars.
  6. The instructions on that website make it quite easy to do (just ignore the bit about the clock) and as Dunc said, mirror everything (left to right) Too bad the damn website was down the day I installed my iPod adaptor Wires? NFI.
  7. Indeed (I saw one of these go through Yahoo late last year - for the first time lol). Difficult to confuse the two if you are looking at 'em, Nismo exhausts have "Nismo" and "Weldina" on them.
  8. +1. I intend to heat wrap the return pip on mine as I've found it can certainly get quite warm (much warmer than the exit side of the intercooler actually).
  9. No, I don't think they are. Nismo definitely changed the rear muffler for the second gen NM35 muffler to one with the oval tip and dropped the pipe size to under 3"... but perhaps the "Nissan Sports Muffler" could be a factory fitted option whereas the Nismo is a dealer option?
  10. 1st gen Nismo (3" pipe - basically the same design as Fujitsubo Legalis) was available from 2001-late 2002. 2nd gen Nismo (~2.5" pipe) was available from late 2002 and should still be able to be purchased new. It had the oval tip. Ask Iain for a pic of it as one came off Stephens wrecked M35. Either could be purchased with or without the sound deadening valve
  11. Liquid or vapour injection?
  12. lol... Isn't that off a PM35 Axis S, Eugene? Second generation Nismo exhaust for series 1 M35's was similar to the pic above and the first generation Nismo exhaust had twin square pipes out of the muffler
  13. ^ Nope, there's one!
  14. Haha, I spoke to the seller "Tokyo Performance" or something like that although their business name did come through as "Sa Car Imports". Couldn't get much info out of him, but it seems to be another importer that knows nothing about the cars. "It has Nismo suspension... Nismo RSR springs.... stock suspension with Nismo RSR Springs" "Turbo is fine.... why wouldn't it be?" I am the car is fine... but getting any real info regarding it is like dragging blood from a stone. As you said, hopefully one of the SA guys can help you out.
  15. hmm... I still don't see the piping for it... what is the small part of the Y-pipe for the? Looks to me like the driver's side bank runs straight out from the stock manifold to the small part of the y-pipe. Anyway, as I said to you the other day, I like that wastegate on the passenger bank idea. Less pressure = greater flow.
  16. lol... that's 2 days to work and back for me! I dunno how you put up with it mate
  17. That's pretty! Haven't seen that kit before... hmm, unless I am missing something, the turbo looks to only run off the gasses from the passenger side exhaust manifold? Interesting. lol @ "I bought when the dollar was strong". http://www.intensepower.com/pogttukit350.html
  18. Not for the spark plug seal. It is part of the cover mould
  19. Bit melodramatic don't you think? I am sure that the kit is genuine Nismo, as is the Nismo option steering wheel.... and the wheels and maybe the suspension (at a guess). I wonder what ECU it has....
  20. No, you are thinking of the oil leak into the rear passenger spark plug. If you have that, then yes you need to replace the whole rocker cover to stop it permanently. I am talking about the common oil leak from the passenger rocker cover. There is a rubber seal that is easily purchased from Nissan that sits under the edges of the rocker cover (being rubber, it can become brittle and leak).
  21. Turbo may be on it's way out (will sound odd - but they are quite loud from factory) Transmission should be very smooth. There will be a little lag when changing gears which is normal. Check that the tiptronic works properly. the trans should NOT grind at all, if it does it may have been serviced with incorrect fluid. Rear Anchor Points can leak if not done properly during compliance (water damage is bad, mmmkay?) There may be an oil leak from the passenger side rocker cover, check for oil stains on the heatshielding and the turbo (both directly below). If there is, get the yard to change the rocker cover gasket (~$20 part from Nissan, but the intake manifold needs to come off)
  22. Stripes don't make 'em a Nismo
  23. Yep, only 1 first last night. Meh, waddya do? and you only "won" 2. We handed you the third out of driver(s) error. No need to tanti because you couldn't win (or get remotely close) in the karts (the only vehicles we were all on a level playing field in). A little more practice and I'm sure you will be able to control one That last race was boring but frustratingly funny. 24km. 99% straight. Rain.... won't be playing that track again. Next time, go-karts at De La Sarthe in the rain and dark lol (kidding, unless you want an exercise in frustration and boredom)
