  1. Love hearing that from a new car owner. Good stuff!
  2. No timing belt for M35 - VQ's use a timing chain. Idler and tensioner belts are, like the brakes, the same as a Z33 (350z) which makes replacements (OEM or aftermarket) very easy.
  3. Nope
  4. ^ Yeah, I have heard stylyn are pretty good (never used them myself though). Sage, why not DIY and save yourself a couple hundred? Most of the instructions are on the g35ipod.com site and since you have the RS setup, a single DIN head unit changeover should be pretty easy.
  5. Interesting timing considering what the main discussion is in here... I had an egotistical bike rider this morning who did all he could to a) ignore and b) piss off myself and the line of cars behind me. Wanker move #1 - proceeded to sit in the middle of the lane whilst hard on the brakes going down a long, steep section of Canadian Bay Rd in Mt Eliza. My speedo registered 10kph, yet nobody could pass. Wanker move #2 - at the traffic lights, he decides that it is too much take a foot out of the peddle to steady himself and used my bonnet instead. When he was told to get his hand off the car, he flipped the bird, moved right in front of my car and stayed there after the light turned green. A note to said bike rider, do not f**k with someone if you are not prepared to deal with getting f**ked right back.
  6. I presume you are joking. You were going to take it apart while work with your mate to see if you could adjust the signal/response to hopefully get rid of the throttle restriction. As such it "didn't matter" that it was causing a high idle as it was just going to be pulled apart anyway. Hence why we swapped my TB with the V35 TB you had. If you are joking mate, I have missed it (just had an "interesting conversation" with my boss )
  7. No. No games are region locked on PS3 and there is no way Sony would release a System Update to stop a game from being played. The only region issues that the PS3 has is DLC. If you purchase and download an add-on through the Aus store, you can only use it in an Aus user profile (same goes for US, JP, Eu user profiles). Downloaded games aren't even region locked.
  8. Agreed. I ran about 14-15 races yesterday with a full 16 driver grid (although 6 or them were mine). $875k while at work is pretty handy.
  9. hmmm... I would agree, but then remembered that you don't have to drive consistently better/faster than the other to win the WDC. Just ask Jenson Button
  10. lol... looks like Scotty's quote just went up
  11. Yeah, expect it to weight about the same as the Kakimoto R. Think I love about Kakimoto is that you can listen to some of the exhausts on their website (N1 Hyper Mega for NM35 is below) http://www.kakimotoracing.co.jp/image_n31359.html
  12. Yep, same bar just different sellers... looks like one of the Pond units. It can be installed over the top of the stock rear bumper (bolts in the rear wheel arches as usual, but the rest requires double sided tape to stick to the stock bumper) and will not go over the factory Aero bumper. btw, a lot of the auctions refer to bodykits as "aero", as in changing the aerodynamic properties of the car.
  13. why? If you are referring to the IKH22 iridium plugs, well they are longer lasting than platinum plugs and provide a superior spark. No chance they will need replacing in 2 weeks. Unless they are heavily fouled or damaged somehow.
  14. If you guys are going to comply them, you'd better move on them Eugene http://www.fabcar.com.au/2010/09/13/skyline-crossover-pics/
  15. lol.... but the Saw movies? No problem. Useless f**ktards. Not that I'd be buying MK9 anyway, but it is the principle. I am sure that there are a number of Hong Kong based eBayers that will be selling it. Probably quite cheaply too.
  16. 650 +/- 50rpm is factory spec, so 750 shouldn't be an issue. Mine idles 550-650 (500 when hot). No issues at all. Guess it just comes down to how comfortable you are with it.
  17. Depends. Not on my original one it couldn't.... unless Iain has somehow managed it. I think I may have stretched whatever is in there because my warm idle was just over 1100rpm (cold was around the 1600rpm mark)
  18. Don't push on the plate. You can bugger up the idle Be very, very gentle with it when cleaning it.
  19. 2005+ Axis S (PM35) will not look nice as it doesn't line up with the flares off an 2001-2004 (NM35) ARX/Axis and the PM35 headlights are much larger than the NM35 headlights. If you are referring to a NM35 Axis, then yes it will bolt straight up on your ARX. If you are doing a PM35 front conversion (like I have), stick with the normal Axis fromt bar. I have the Axis S front bar which bolts up, but I have an RS and have also replaced the headlights and bonnet.
  20. +1 for getting Scott to make one up... but you could always get the 80mm Kakimoto front pipe and have an exhaust shop cut and weld a 100ci cat in there. Oh and Jesse Streeter will do it cheaper than that outrageous price you've been quoted.... as will RHDJapan (just email them as it is not listed on their website) or Import Monster.
  21. Yes. They are Denso "Iridium Power" plugs and their model number is "IKH22".
  22. Yes. Stop asking questions and put them in.
  23. Indeed. Wrong word, I did mean "pump" .... although an exhaust pipe going past the bottle and sticking out the side of the rear quarter panel or through the roof would look.... erm, interesting.
  24. Elaborate on what, bud? Denso IKH22 plugs work perfectly, in all conditions and at all power levels. 0.8mm gap as required, 0.4mm electrode and V grooved tip provide a superior spark to the NGK plugs. But you already knew this. You can find the IKH22's on eBay Motors and get them sent over for less than I can get them through Denso in Croydon.
  25. Actually I recall reading that the one in the UK modified the spare wheel well to snake the piping for the drivers side exhaust pipe... so it is a real exhaust. The Kid's Heart exhaust is also real... but their base was a RWD VQ25dd powered M35, so no need to worry about the ATTESSA bottle.
