  1. Not difficult to do. Once you are in behind the console, running a chord into the ashtray is quite straight forward. Was thinking about doing an ashtray mount for my iPod classic, but with the roads I drive on (and the speed I take corners at times), it would put far too much stress through the connection (plus the iPod classic is pretty heavy). iPhone is a bit lighter, so should work well. +1 for pics please!
  2. You sure bud? AR-X should be 18's. My RS is 215/55R17, 7" wide. Can't remember the load & speed rating, but it was different to my mate's RS I believe that the 16's came on the 250RS (RWD N/A)... and looked crap in those huge wheel arches!
  3. Ahhh yes TJ. But I believe that they remove your speed limiter to allow high speed cruising, ja?
  4. $250 for the full service. Just been on the phone with FTG Nissan service who was looking at the job card. (Got the D and J the wrong way around, sorry. Go for the MATIC J) It was a flush using their machine so anywhere from 8-10L. The 350z auto contains 10.3L in total (not just in the pan) so I presume that the V35 would be similar? You can also ask for the additive satchel to be added ($30). Nissan MUST add this satchel to all new auto transmissions to increases the life and performance of the trans. Total cost as of 5 minutes ago is $262. That is a flush with Matic J fluid and also including the additive satchel.
  5. If a "Sports Horn" adds 10 or 15awkw. Just playin' man.
  6. Bwahahaha! Lost!! So I guess you are just watching it because you have invested all those years in it thus far? I have a family member with the same addiction. She doesn't want to watch it, but she also doesn't want to "throw away" the past however many years. FB?
  7. If you are looking at going all Infinity, there is also stainless steel or aluminium (can't remember) Infinity covers for your door kick panels.
  8. Jeez, 8000rpm in a front wheel drive... Must have been a fair bit of smoke! Camry Wagon? Lol. Gotta love these "car experts". Glad they are the ones that decide the trade-in value!
  9. For the 5 Speed auto use Nissan Matic D. It is their fully synthetic fluid. They also have a Matic J which is a semi-synthetic. When I had my trans serviced by FTG Nissan, they used Matic D even though it says Matic J on the dipstick. When I asked them, they said that the Matic D is basically a superior replacement for Matic J.
  10. +1 I know that MV do a "stage 1" kit for the M35 Stagea, so I would hazard a guess that they would also have one for the V35 as both cars use a similar 5 speed tiptronic transmission. They will also ship to whichever city you are in.
  11. Hey man, you shouldn't be driving your wife's car to a car meet anyway! Hang your head in shame
  12. What about a Riley? May have a bit of trouble with traction (and braking) though
  13. LOL. Good luck! Have tried... and failed. Why not just get a "powerduct" from Nissan? It will make your M35 airbox the same as a V35 airbox.
  14. heh, she never reads these forums does she!
  15. Would only happen if the R35 GT-R was still officially a Skyline. Since it is a specific model for a specific market, no way will it go 4 door, nor will it go wagon (DAMN IT!)
  16. Spending too much time with cows and grass?
  17. $730. I had to install (easy stuff!) Only needed to open up (just a little bit) one of the supports for the condenser, otherwise it fit peerrrrrrfectly! Trans cooler (or two) is a must, as the coolers they use in the radiator are a bit too short - one of the barbs would be right at the bottom of the fan blade... May fit, but I didn't want to take the chance (inbuilt 200mm trans cooler is an extra $80). Other stuff (breather tank, FMIC) is wish list. Not necessary, although the breather tank does appeal to my logic! They also do custom FMIC's using PWR cores that have been tested to withstand 300psi... or a constant 100psi (so they may be able to deal with our boost levels )
  18. lol... cheeky bugger
  19. So I guess I will be dropping by on the weekend then? As an aside, how have I not been spotted yet? Been driving my M35 since April '07, everyday, everywhere. Maybe I need to do an interstate run...
  20. Nope, mine doesn't either... but I rarely fold in the mirrors anyway.
  21. Matic D = full synthetic Matic J = mineral with synthetic additives Go with Matic D.
  22. My RS = 8 years old with 149,000kms on the clock. Why are you getting a replacement 16mm core radiator when you could get one made up to fit (see below) for MUCH less? Correct! 100% Verified. Hence the reason I had to sell that beautiful (MASSIVE) G35 Mishimoto radiator I bought in from the US (lost a heap of $$$ on it too). Got a custom Race Radiators unit installed with Nismo thermostat. Keeps it quite a bit cooler. Now I just gotta get a radiator breather tank and a larger FMIC... (here we go again) Don't have pics of radiator, but it is full aluminium, 42mm core with 55mm tanks. No trans cooler though. Direct OE replacement. Still use the fan shroud!
  23. I didn't think that you would be a stickler for an Infinity badge, Mr Hoity Toity!! Shill think it looks poo.
