  1. Jeez, this is a friendly section isn't it? www.importmonster.com.au for me.
  2. What happened? Shed impellors? What internals are you using or is it GCG?
  3. Forgot to mention. 5L of oil for the M35. Just did a minor service on my mates M35 yesterday. Run engine cleaner through, drained oil, changed oil filter, put in 5L of 300v Chrono, he took it for a run (loved it!), washed both M35's. Checked his oil level last night (cold engine) which was exactly on the full line. As an aside, for those using genuine Nissan filters... have you found that the oil filter gets extremely hot? I found it was MUCH hotter than Amsoil, K&N or Ryco filters.
  4. Hmmm, that does seem awfully low. You can always swap your Impul springs (and shocks?) for my stockies. ~130mm ride height, but I have to still be careful not to scrape my exhaust. I guess you could always take a trip to Pedders and get something there that would raise the height... would probably be cheaper than getting Bilsteins, Nismo's or Tein's from Japan. Or maybe the shocks have had it? (You did only specify that you only have Impul springs and not the shocks as well)
  5. LOL I suppose you knew I would do that too! Smart arse? Sorry man, can't help it, it is in the genes.
  6. HAHAHAAAA!!! +1 Or maybe just a separate DIY section...
  7. ... sounds like someone has a man-crush on Paul Walker.... or Vin Diesel
  8. Yep, 20mm lower. Spring Rates; Front: 8.3kg/mm Rear: 9.2kg/mm They are a beautiful ride aren't they
  9. hmm, it would seem that I have, in fact, been a recipient of said slap down. Never mind, that is the vehicle in question. Bit bloody expensive too!
  10. You may or may not have seen this custom. This car was built by N2A motors (No Two Alike). Cost USD$40,000 over cost of new Corvette C6 (MSRP USD$44,000). PLUS all costs of getting it on road over here & RHD... (would probably just get a modded R35 for that!) Anyway... The company is planning a production run of about 100 vehicles. It sits on a Corvette C6 chassis, front styled like a '57 Chevy, side like a '58, rear like a '59. Hence the designation '789'. I like it, but there is something that ain't quite right... What do you guys think?
  11. I would man... but I have my own set collecting dust. Might see how they go on the wife's black Magna
  12. I think that it is for sale, is it not? I saw one parked out the front of a house in Frankston Sth... couldn't be two Stagea's in Frankston now could there?? Spotted white S2 in Frankston, lowered with Bronze CE28's... Looked nice. Dude was acting cool until he saw (and possibly heard) the M35 roll past... Double-Take city
  13. Probably late, but does anyone know how much difference these would make on a turbo.... and if it fits a VQ25det (plenum looks similar)?
  14. Cool, I was quoted similar from my local exhaust shop when I was looking. He wanted to silence it by putting steel wool in the muffler Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of installing a free-er flowing exhaust????
  15. If you are looking under 2k, may I suggest the dump & front pipe as per the NRVOUS thread. Exhaust? You could either go Kakimoto (88dB, 80mm and around $1100 delivered) or the HKS Demoda which is less (~$950 delivered but only a 60.5mm pipe) Or if you wanted to go even cheaper, just get the Kakimoto de-cat front pipe (80mm) and leave the dump & pre-cat. It is what I have and let me tell you, it really opens up the turbo & sounds GREAT! Fujitsubo Legalis would push you over 2k with the current exchange rate.
  16. Well I guess he is back from his holiday then. Good to hear (got a few things to ask him). If you get the details Andy, please share (post or PM is cool)
  17. It would be desirable/essential if you are using a mineral or mineral based oil. 10,000kms is fine to change for a high quality Synthetic... I used to change every 5,000kms and have only ever once used anything other than Synthetic oil (Motul Turbolight 4100 - semi-synthetic). I found that; 1. It was just too damn expensive 2. It was not necessary with a good oil Figured I could be top protection for my engine if I serviced every 10k with Motul 300v and it worked out about the same $$$ wise since I do it myself (no labor charge or markup)
  18. Sounds great. Will be there...
  19. 7500kms should be fine. I generally do a service (Oil & filter change, check & top up all other fluids) every 10,000kms (transmission is "service free" but I check the fluid level anyway). My Stag is running beautifully and is coming up to the big 150! I do make sure to use Motul 300v oil and a good filter. If Unique are doing the service, make sure they are using a high quality SYNTHETIC oil... Do not bother with a mineral oil or a synthetic/mineral blend unless you want to service every 5000kms.
  20. SteveL, I too have no trouble importing parts for M35 Stagea... and you think V35's are difficult? EVERYONE knows what a Skyline is! I just call Ferntree Gully Nissan or Gary Rogers Nissan down here in VIC. Neither have an issue looking up or getting parts in (max 10 business days). However, I have also asked other dealerships about parts (or even a service) and I am put in the 'too hard basket'. I mean I even had to convince one that my car can be read through consult! So I guess I understand where GoldV35 is coming from. Talking to dealerships that don't want to step outside the square and refuse to give you that time of day can get you pretty pissed. You are lucky that you have found a good Dealership. The other three that I know of are Hornsby (NSW) and the 2 Vic dealerships I mentioned above. I do not know of any in QLD that would help.... although they all should. Money IS money after all.
