  1. Actually Amsoil is also a Group 4 oil as stated in an email I received from one of their Lubrication Specialists; "Group IV -Chemical Reactions: Group IV base oils are chemically engineered synthetic base stocks. Polyalphaolefins (PAO's) are a common example of a synthetic base stock. Synthetics, when combined with additives, offer excellent performance over a wide range of lubricating properties. They have very stable chemical compositions and highly uniform molecular chains. Group IV base oils are becoming more common in synthetic and synthetic-blend products for automotive and industrial applications (hh)." "AMSOIL uses only Group IV PAO's" Not quite sure you reasoning on this one. "Genuine" Nissan oil that is used for car servicing at Nissan Dealerships is a 5W30. I don't see too many Nissan's driving around blowing out oil. My mate had his NM35 Stagea serviced at a Nissan dealership (inc oil change) and he certainly is not "Blowing oil out"... and yes, he loves boost Oh yeah, currently I am using Motul 300v Chrono (and have been for the last 46,000kms) but will probably be changing to the 300v Power Racing (5W30) next service. I change every 10,000km's, and have been using either K&N or Amsoil oil filters. Runs quite nicely!
  2. Classy Even more Class... Wow, you really have a way with words don't you Nothing like another brainless Twat giving Skyline (and in this case P platers) drivers a bad name. Off Topic: Virgin? I guess I have been doing it all wrong when I lift up my missus and she wraps her legs around me!
  3. Hi guys, Gotta sell my LMX5's, need money for the new house and all that goes with it! Very, very reluctant sale. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ge...ml#entry4471098
  4. Hi all VERY Reluctant sale. Nismo LMX5's "Diamond Cut" finish 18x7.5 +30 +'ves Look spectacular NO gutter rash, scratches, chips etc. Come with tyres (Kenda 225/40 - GREAT in the wet! Pretty good in the dry too!) - Heaps of tread. -'ves "Rays" valve caps missing (Nicked while shopping at Fountain Gate) - replaced with stainless caps. Previously re-finished Nismo symbol on one of the wheels $2k pickup Mornington Penninsula (VIC) Don't know about shipping prices bit dirty Cleaned up!
  5. Watched the Youtube link above. From what I saw, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY better than the Aussie one... Even if I have to read subtitles. Memo to SBS: That is how you select three different personalities (Not an old boring bastard, Xbox gamer and a friggin' Cartoonist!)
  6. Probably a stupid question, but do you know if there is a kit for a VQ25DET?
  7. Indeed. Oh well, looks like an eManage Ultimate install then.
  8. I was not a fan of the rear of the M35 either, until I watched the Nissan mechanic burble his way in my M35 into the service area. Don't know what it was, the car just looked ready to take off!... That being said, there is still something that is "not right" to me when I look at it. I don't think that it is the reflectors that go to the roof, but probably more the red reflector around the reversing lights (maybe)... Would probably look better if they were colour-coded (can't quite justify the wallet-rape for the Dolphin covers though).
  9. Any more info? Do you still frequent these forums NRVOUS???????
  10. Microsoft HAS stopped beta downloads. I was permitted to try Windows 7, but did not download it soon enough and was cut off. Pirate Bay has 32 and 64-bit versions as ISO's with activation code in the description. Do a google search for "Windows 7 torrent"... simple.
  11. How's the "secure" website/download/install going? Have you heard anymore from the developer?
  12. Heh, that's IF the person knew they were behind an M35... On another note; I most certainly DO WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would just have to to something about it not lining up with the A pillar Dunno about in Pearl Sky-blue though....
  13. What? You've never seen the Mitsusan Nismart Evo-R??
  14. Ok. Very different design to mine then. What if you lowered the side of the car that the oil filter is on and keep the opposite side jacked up? Gravity would, in theory, keep the oil from leaking out when you unscrew it. It may leak a little bit, but nothing a rag couldn't soak up
  15. Wheel bearing doesn't really squeak or tick... more like a constant rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. At least that is the sound my front passenger wheel bearing assembly made.
  16. I remember having a similar thing after a wheel alignment. I took the car straight back & they found some dirt that was throwing the wheel of and somehow causing the ticking noise. Still don't know how, but no probs as soon as they cleaned it out.
  17. Last night... Parked out the front of Autobarn and was walking past to a different store when one Autobarn employee ran out and called to his mate "Hey! Check out the Stagea!! I called back "Yeah, it's mine" and answered a couple of questions (How quick is it? What have you done to it? Bet it bloody goes, ay? etc) before leaving them to go back into the other store. After that I went into Autobarn and was promptly doted on like a King.
  18. now THAT is pretty! Driver's console looks like the Supra "cockpit" re-designed. Don't know if that is a good thing or not...
  19. So do the K&N oil filters, for about the same price.... and much higher quality (or so I am told by a mate who sells both)
  20. Huh? Why not use a drip tray? Preferably one with a nozzle so you can pour used oil into the container that the new oil came in. Agree with RBPOWA, drip tray under drain plug, release oil from sump, when finished draining re-position drip ray under oil filter, remove filter and drain into drip tray. No mess, no fuss
  21. I too would like to know the ballpark figure TJ. Can you also tel me what they are doing to make it a "stage 2" kit.... and who is doing it of course!
  22. OR you could get them to install the right f^(king kit! If you booked it in for a 'B' and they installed the 'A', then they should fix their screwup Goddamnit! Why is the customer expected to pay for a "specialist" mechanic's mistake?
  23. BAH! If only I had the finances... Transplant the VK45 from AWD Cima (Crate engine built by Impul). Twin Holset HX40 turbo's Quad exhaust to make it sing mmmmm..... now where is that winning lotto ticket?
