Agreed, as do all of the transmission rebuilders I have spoken to. That said, it is possible to cool the trans fluid too much which is exactly what I did on my NM35 when I replaced the radiator which did not come with a trans cooler built in. I ran two external trans coolers (trans > PWR > Mishimoto > trans) which kept it a bit too cold in winter as did not have 5th gear for the first 25mins of my old daily trip to work. Conan, 220awkw is roughly a 65% power increase over stock. You don't think increasing the efficiency of your cooling system, which was only designed to manage heat generated at stock power levels, would be a worthwhile investment?

That would be because they are all rehashes of rehashed titles that sold well. *sigh*

Just Had This Done To The Stagea
iamhe77 replied to stagea alan's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I'm rather curious regarding the Stagea emblem on the bonnet. Can you explain where it came from or what the bird is representing/how it fits in with a Stagea? -
They are nice but that angled rear window, whilst stylish, removes quite a bit of storage space - especially for big dogs.

M35 Wot Smoke, Pcv And Catch Can Setup
iamhe77 replied to Equilibrise's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
For what it's worth, I ran two catch cans on my VQ25det Stagea. One on each bank of course. The intake side never required changing as there was never really anything in there. The driver side (PCV if my memory serves me) however, caught quite a bit of oil. -
Pnm35 Power Loss And Louder Exhaust
iamhe77 replied to Stag-do's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
You should check those cats both externally and internally ASAP (change them out regardless if you have a set of Berks there). They may have a leak or some kind of damage (hole, collapsed core etc) Don't rely on "trustworthy" mechanics unless they have proven that they know M35 Stagea's... or at the very least are well versed in 350z and/or V35 skyline Those transmission codes do not sound good. Can you get under the car to look for visible damage to the transmission/transmission lines? -
Most (all?) Nissan dealerships will have a local version of FAST and an import version of FAST. They may be referencing this when they say "have to change computer", meaning that they have to physically get up and move to the computer that has the import version of FAST on it. This may be seen as too much effort for some. EDIT: Yes, I understand how salty I am. Sue me.

Worth the trip to see Scott in the SE 'burbs. Don't waste your time with anyone else. -
If you need one, why not upgrade it? http://automatictransmission.com.au/release.asp?NewsId=41223

The red Stag has the low beams on whereas the silver Stag has the fog lights running. Okay, I am going to ask a couple of really silly question here so stay with me but is the inner adjustment on the stalk set to OFF or is it set to the fog light symbol? Also, how are you flicking from low to high beam? High beams are turned on by pushing the stalk forward (or pulling back to flash). If you are turning the outer adjustment of the stalk, you will have AUTO, parkers or low beam on (unless on auto in which case the car determines when parkers and low beam are used).

iamhe77 replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I like that positioning Josh Would it not be better if you just removed that fog light blanking plate and put some kind of vent behind in the plastic wheel arch the trans cooler? Doing it that way would guide plentiful amounts of air to pass directly over the entire cooler whilst driving instead of forcing it through just one spot on the cooler. Of course, if you like the plates on your aero bumper, disreguard what I suggested. -

That intake piping was the one thing I loved about my old NM35 engine bay. On another note, cars feels really good. Surprisingly so actually. Low end response is noticably more lively and it "feels" easier to rev (certain it is not placebo). Very happy - was my best case scenario. Doesn't feel noticably more powerful, just happier to rev. Now to get rid of that Y-pipe and begin build on my Hydrogen separator cell. Should be interesting. Reference: I would recommend for anyone that has a VQ35de Stag to grab a set of Z34/V36 OEM headers and work out some cats to fit. I would guess that some V36/G37 high flow cats would bolt on but cannot be certain as Scott combined by cheap, non-fitting de-cat pipes with my VQ35de Berk cats to fit as desired. -

Nice Dale, quite nice but I do have one question. Why the hell is there no Daleo or Scoty intake pipe? I see a rubber bend in that pic! -
My bet would be "a guy" is Toshi. We were discussing him bringing over the software from Japan that would allow rewriting of the stock ECU in much the same way as UpRev can for the PM35's. Cost was far too prohibitive at the time though. so perhaps there is another option that has been presented... or he has the software now due to requests from some deep-pocketed R35 owners? Even though I don't own the 2.5t, I would still very much like to see a remap option become available and the results of a "real" tune. So much history, so much Stagea love If you need a stock ECU, let me know as I have one in bubble wrap here.

Since you have the time to wait, why not try looking on Yahoo Auctions via Import Monster? A very, very quick look in the body part section showed a number of doors that still have the window inside. http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h201904660&thumb=http://auctions.c.yimg.jp/images.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/image/ra175/users/9/0/0/0/hon_toka-thumb-1431925442932933.jpg&title=V36%20k52 http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=http://page13.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/r128135875&thumb=http://auctions.c.yimg.jp/images.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/image/ra226/users/9/0/0/0/hon_toka-thumb-1431931788120841.jpg&title=V36%20k52 You could also try Jesse Streeter. Giving him the part number will help both of you. For someone asking for help, you don't seem to have provided much info. Which window? Is it a coupe or sedan? If you don't have the part number, go to http://nissan.epc-data.com and find it.

E.o.i - M35 Braided Lines Group Buy
iamhe77 replied to joshm35's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Hmm, possibly the duplicate of the OEM lines as they would be more suitable for the Z34/V36 Akebono upgrade. -
If you can find one/afford it, get an Fcon V Pro set up.
