  1. The ignition correction (ie +3 etc to the whole map) is not written to memory. You have to manually do it every time you start the car.
  2. I'd definitely go the GT-RS, why go the 2535 which is only a little bigger than the stocker?? The GT-RS's response on the SR20 is quite good and on the RB25 it'd be a lot better again!
  3. Castrol Super Dot 4 would cover 95% of the drivers here on SAU.
  4. The exhaust sounds like a paddock basher at the start and the front bar looks just as bad lol Seems to have some grunt at the end though. Definitely not stock!!
  5. Hey Thanks for the offer! Much appreciated but I'm located in adelaide..lol that's why I'm looking to buy a set from wreckers or some one from the forums willing to part with them for a resonable price.. Cheers
  6. I deposited the money on Tuesday, got the item on Thursday. Thanks Mark for the fast delivery! I'll be testing this beast this weekend. See how it compares to my GFB bleeder which spikes a bit!
  7. Well I'd like them to fix the surface. The surface grip is appaling im some sections, worse than a normal road!
  8. Yeah its because the daylight saving hours have been screwed around to suit the Commonwealth Games or something..
  9. Yeah and by increasing its density we are increasing its mass, and thus it looses momentum and slows down = more backpressure ) I like the idea of keeping the heat in preturbine, cos the hotter it is, the more energy available for the turbine to extract. Cos remember the pre/post turbo EGTs are upto 300C difference or even more.
  10. Thanks again SK for some good advice!
  11. I reckon the bag is better because the turbo will cool down slower than an a fully exposed one.. therefore the cooling stress on the metal is less. Although one could argue that a 'bagged' turbo will heat up faster...
  12. 4" is a fair step up from a 3.5". The surface area difference is 30%! On a 900hp car, yeah you'd want it as big as you can get...
  13. With a 0.75 deg increase in castor, can you really notice the difference? Whilteline only quote 0.75 degree increase with their bushes.. seems almost nothing??
  14. Not when it rains, imagine rain going all over a hot turbo and manifold. Haha...
  15. I would say the turbobag would be better because it seals off the housing's heat better than a sheild can do. Although personally I would take off the turbine housing and get it ceramically coated too, as an internal coating helps keeps the heat out of the metal in the first place. (I would also do the manifold while you're at it!!)
  16. To clean the filters most people 'backflush' the injector but its pretty hard to do with the injector off the car cos you need to open the injector somehow. (And dont try it with a battery!) If you're gonna get them high flowed, just leave em alone and let the guy do the work haha. Btw Techron is good on removing deposits on the backside of the intake valves aswell.
  17. One less ugly coloured skyline off the road =P Haha j/k, bad luck, hope he learnt his lesson though!
  18. I wouldnt put them into an ultra sonic bath that you clean your jewelry. Thats how you ruin them cos it can damage the solenoids. The professionals have them hooked up to a rail and pulse the injectors with cleaning fluid whilst the *nozzles* are in the ultra sonic bath, not the whole unit!
  19. You remove the injectors and take it to a specialist who cleans them ultrasonically. That by far is the best way, but it costs about 20 bux an injector. But the Techron is probably the best stuff you can get in a bottle besides removing the injectors.
  20. Only problem with Just Japs one is that you have to hack up the stock rail mounts to get them in.
  21. Hmmm sounds good...
  22. ATF wont do anything to clean the injectors. Use a bottle of Caltex Techron 5000, thats the stuff that works.
  23. My bet it would be pretty restrictive despite their claims, and the cold outlet is right next to the hot inlet (and same goes for the core) so I'd be questioning its cooling efficacy. So just go with the tried and tested in/out on opposite ends..
  24. I certainly wouldnt be complaning about 238rwkw from an RB20!
  25. Visit turbobygarrett.com and download the catalog PDF for all your mapping needs.
