Actually Porsche purchased VW. I'm not sure of the legalities but I'm fairly certain that Porsche management calls the shots. http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/01/06/2460294.htm
  2. OK did I read that correctly and see 9.11@169mph?

I'm guessing it stands for Ferntree Gully Nissan.
  4. There's about 100kW worth of wings and spoilers on that car.

Here we have it folks. http://www.sportcom.com.au/targatasmania/i...0&Itemid=59
  6. Aside from what's been mentioned in the initial post (i.e. rims and bonnet), the only thing that might need replacing in the near future are the clutch and rear tyres. That's it to my knowledge and from what my mechanic has told me. The car is in fine mechanical condition.
  7. Thanks mate but that is too low.
  8. yours is a standard FMIC?! It looked like an aftermarket one on your avatar!
  9. Actually I think that might be a standard FMIC that's had the paint removed.
  10. Mosler is a small yankee company from memory, and there several different models of the Mosler MT's. They were racing in the AUS GT series or whatever it's called in the Melb F1 GP and they were seriously fast. Here's a review of one of them from 5th gear:
  11. I don't care much for Fezzas but check these videos out:
  12. OK but who's the guy they're doing the interview with? Just kidding How'd you manage to get the opportunity?
  13. Well with a bi-turbo V8, how could it have lost? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ni...09-t265028.html
  14. I wonder if he swears at his fax machine when it doesn't work properly
  15. Don't do anything to it, just keep it factory standard. From memory they only made 750 of these, so it may be a collectable car in the future.
  16. Yep, GTR's have never been cheap. In all fairness though that $200K figure is for that single car. I'm sure it would have been slightly less if Nissan had decided to import 100 or so vehicles. It would have still been very expensive though, as the R32 was $110K in the early 90's!!! But hey it's a great article and I think it puts the R33 in particular into perspective. You read a lot of posts about them being boats an soft compared to the R32 & R34 but in reality they were still far more of a focused car than most road cars AND they were f'ing quick back in the day.
  17. Interesting article about R33 GTR vs HSV GTS-R vs M3. It puts the GT-R's performance into perspective doesn't it? The times it ran in the mid 90's would have been bettered only by exotics and/or porsches. http://www.wheelsmag.com.au/Features/Warp+...s&pagenum=8
  18. ^^ Exactly, previous V-Specs were a few thousand more than the non-V-Specs. Not 100% more.
  19. Can someone please explain why both of these fools don't get arrested for the US equivelant of dangerous driving, racing and careless driving? If that happened in Aus they'd both be crucified and it would be all over the news. I like to give my car a squirt every now and then just like everyone else, but FFS public roads are not for racing!
  20. Due to the economic downturn and the recent loss of some of my employment hours I am forced to sell my car. Pictures can be found on an older post: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fs...hl=fs%3Ar33+gtr Make:Nissan Model:R33 Skyline GTR V-Spec Milage:152,xxxkms Transmission:Manual Colour:Sonic Silver Location:Melbourne Complied? I don't have the standard bonnet, and the two front wheels are copy GTR wheels. I do have the two original rims however one of them is cracked. These two things combined mean that I am selling my car for $20,000 ONO and I am after CASH SALES ONLY, PLEASE i.e. no trades. I want to repeat that price is negotiable. Give me a ring on 0433 236 389 or send an email to r2assaad@students.latrobe.edu.au. Thanks, Ray.
  21. Yeah why don't we start comparing a road car to stripped out professional touring cars. Better yet, why don't we assume that the touring cars are very similar to the road cars sold by the Aussie manufacturers and that because the touring cars are faster than a Nissan the road cars are as well. Who needs common sense and reason when you have biased opinion?
  22. Good question. I had to replace the headlights after an accident I had nearly two years ago. As far as I know the projector headlights were only available on the series III. But I don't know if my car is a series two because it doesn't have a passenger airbag. It's either the last of the series 1 or the first of the series 2.
  23. Stuff like this makes my blood boil. Crack down on these f*****s and make them understand that there is a law to live by in this country. My parents and I - just like every other immigrant in Australia - learned to respect the law and IMO these guys should be deported if they are over 18 years old.
