  1. R34 GT-t's are great cars in their own right. Just buy one of those and enjoy it for what it is.
  2. I couldn't agree with you more. Those super low times are almost certainly launches where the drivers have dumped the clutch from redline or close to redline. The clutch won't last very long doing that. I think every owner does it a few times when they buy their first GTR to see what it's like, but don't do it again unless they go to the drags or track days. It's mechanical abuse.
  3. This is what you need:
  4. Actually those fuel figures seem quite good given the performance. My MUCH slower R33 GTR averages around 380km a tank around town, and most other GTR owners I've met average similar figures for their stockers as well. So the R35's aren't bad at all in that respect...
  5. If the R35 wasn't light years ahead of the R32-R34 cars then I'd be VERY dissapointed considering the basic design of the R32-34 dates back to the late 80's. With the R35 we're talking about Nissan's state of the art technology. The cars aren't really comparable on any account other than they are all GTR's. Motor (as well as many on here apparently) have forgotten this. Oh and let's cut back on the tall poppy syndrome.
  6. I can sort of imagine what motivated the engine conversion, but why the Lamborghini badging, rear bumper and interior? That's what I don't understand.
  7. Enjoy: Speed Kills - the Big Lie? http://autospeed.com/cms/article.html?&A=1234
  8. Has anyone in Melbourne seen a yello Alfa GTV with craptacular bodykit and rims doing the rounds around Lygon St? If someone has a pic please post it up, this car rivals the pink Megane.
  9. I thought you boys and girls would love these videos as much as I did. I've been waiting for both of these for a long time. Enjoy :-) LP670 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69MjdF2aglw...PL&index=39 Mclaren f1 vs Veyron http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVlbvxd0Q10
  10. Regarding the acceleration issue, I don't think accelerating fast is technically illegal if you don't do a burnout. I went to court a couple of years ago and I paid a good lawyer to represent me. He said that taking off fast at a set of traffic lights is not illegal and can easily be beaten if taken to court provided a burnout isn't performed as this would be classed as hooning. Incidentally, he beat all but one charge (other lawyers have since said that he basically pulled off a miracle and got the best and most unlikely result in the scenario). EDIT: To the OP, stop being an idiot and take your car to a track or drag strip. Backstreets are not the place to be doing 100 kph.
  11. Its a shame because those rims (not sure if they're rendered or not) look absolutely sensational.
  12. It helps when the forum memers are car ENTHUSIASTS.
  13. Dude seriously, I'm sure the owner of that plate spent that much money on that plate because he has lots of money to spend. If you think he's only worth the amount of the license plate and that car you'd probably be mistaken.
  14. That plate might be worth over a million dollars... http://www.caradvice.com.au/6764/number-pl...orth-1-million/
  15. I've seen that car with that plate in Geelong, near the Carousel around the Western Beach area.
  16. I think the criterion to be eligible for the power board is to be able to go over a speed bump.
  17. I like the theories of multiple stigs. One theory suggests that it was the car company factory test drivers who would race the cars around the tracks - this would make a lot of sense. Who would know how to drive a car better than a factory test driver?
  18. Lol, gold.

    Gtr Haters

Hey Godcla, are you going to post pictures of your cars or are you just going to tease us? If possible, can you post a few photos of your exige? Those things are awesome, I'd love to own one some day. How do you find it compared to your other cars?
  20. What were the last couple of lines of the review?
  21. Lets not jump to conclusions just yet, what if that VN had stockie's on the rear and VS HSV front/rear bumpers?
  22. Nice AMG. Got any more pics?
  23. I've seen some roads around the Barwon Heads/PointLonsdale/Queenscliffe area that were posted around 80kph which should probably be posted as 60kph at the most. I'm not sure how the speed limits are set, but clearly there are some speed limits which make you wonder about the government and the authorities in charge of our roads.
  24. Less than half the article was about his driving impressions, more than half of it was anecdotes and analogies. That doesn't make a good article in my opinion. If he spent more time describing the driving aspect of the car and what he didn't like based on that instead of saying it's limits are far higher than you could ever reach on a public road it would have been a better read.
  25. Bahahaha! You got off so lightly and you don't even realise it!
